Hard to keep lit. One burner doesn't work

Moved into a house that was a little over a year old. Had one previous owner. Smaller back burner which they call OptiSim doesn't stay lit. Some of the other burners are finicky that way too but eventually stay lit. Called service but since over a year old it's out of warranty. I'm stuck with it unless I pay to get it fixed. Not too impressed with this stove.

We are so thrilled with this cooktop. Full use of the space with the knobs on the front, burners work well, and we love the griddle pan that we bought to go along with it. So happy with this purchase!

Burners flare

It took so long to receive my cooktop that I didn't want to report having issues. However, when a repairman came to fix my speed oven, I mentioned that the burners flare when I turn them on. He looked over his notes and said, oh yes. The installer noted that. So tell me why it is now 5 months later and they still have not repaired the cooktop? To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I expected more from Bosch since I spec appliances for my design clients. I'm not sure I can recommend this company if this is their typical customer service. My sister is past president of ASID Pasadena, and I will certainly share this with her members.

We bought all new 800 series appliances. We are very happy with the dishwasher, fridge and ovens. But it takes an engineer to get the range top burners to light . You turn the knob and have to apply pressure for up to 10 seconds while the thing sparks to have any hope of getting the burners to light. The central one in front rarely works even with that. We had the authorized repair guy out and he seemed to think that was normal. It certainly wasn't normal with our old kitchenaid. So I guess we're just out 3 grand.

but the large far right buner was defective when the cooktop arrived and it took about two weeks to get it repaired - otherwise I love it. Got a portable two-burner skillet for pancakes and it worked great! Easy to clean and maintain.

We have been using the cooktop only for 3 days now. In the night we clean it with plain water and sponge. But we started noticing rusty spots all over the stainless steel surface of the cooktop.

We love our cooktop. Had a Thermadore previously but our Bosch is so much easier for cleanup and the burners are much more efficient. We also enjoy the variety of burners for different items we are cooking or simmering.
