• Bought the JX36Dss trim kit. Did not fit. 1" too tall for my new microwave. Noticed the kit comes in 3 sizes and the JX36Bss kit fit perfectly. The store swapped kits out without extra charge. GOT TO GET CORRECT MODEL SIZE. DesiDesign rated it a 1-star, but her kit was the wrong size.

• My door handle broke on my microwave after 2+ years and was told I will have to purchase the whole door for 300.00. Very disappointed. Must have been defective

• I purchased the 36" Over-the-Range Microwave Accessory Filler Kit. I reported to GE. When the blue packaging shipping tape was removed from stainless steel parts it left an 2"inch tape line on the product. The shipping / packaging tape adhesive was embedding itself in the stainless stell. I believe causing cross contaimation with materials after manufactured. GE said they would notify their engineer packaging. I never heard anything else from GE.

• Catch 22. Not only do these inserts cost $300! When you buy the 30 in micowave at $500, HD or Lowes will charge you $200 to have them installed, and they cannot be installed by the delivery company, you have to get an outside contractor.

• As others have mentioned, the trim kit is NOT flush with the front of the microwave. Additionally, we have had two kits, and both came with a permanent smudge on the lower left piece. The retailer said all left panels appear like this due to manufacturing. I contacted GE with my concern and was on hold 30 minutes before they disconnected.

• The filler kit is almost the same price as the microwave. It is just two pieces of metal. The fact that GE makes people pay this much to fill in a hole left by the 36" microwave that they chose to discontinue is not good treatment of GE customers.

• I’m unhappy with this trim kit, the photos online are deceptive because the kit is not flush with the microwave. The kit is recessed about 2 inches from it. It looks cheap and odd. I’m also unhappy with the installation. It’s crooked and I am unable to open my cabinet to the right of the microwave. I’ve contacted GE about their faulty installation had an appointment to fix and nobody showed up.

• This trim filler does not align with the microwave properly.After installation the microwave (JNM7196SKSS) pops out and the filler is an inch shorter in height and there is a gap in cabinet at the top. The photo supplied with the trim filler and microwave is misleading and it will not look nice and aligned as displayed.Too expensive product.Very disappointed....
