• This microwave is leagues better than the 10 year old microwave it replaced. I was a little concerned about the low profile, but everything I’ve tried has fit so far and it’s great to have all that extra space above the stove. The microwave is well made, very quiet when running, and the chime is much more pleasant than the traditional beep. It heats food well and the special settings like “soften” and “melt” seem to do their jobs efficiently. The fan has several speed settings and does a good job at moving air when cooking on the stove. Not sure when the “remote start” feature in the app would be useful, but it’s there if you need it. Would love it if they would add a feature to the app so you can see how much time is left on the timer from your phone. Overall, very pleased with the looks and functionality of this microwave and would definitely recommend!

• My new black stainless steel Kitchaid Smart Microwave was delivered yesterday, and unfortunately the old metal cabinets in my hundred year old Victorian home weren't compatible with installation. However I'm currently remodeling my kitchen, and new wooden cabinets have been ordered. I'm currently the enjoying the benefits of the microwave sitting on the counter until my cabinets arrive. First of all, let me say the microwave is very appealing with it's sharp, shiny and sleek design. The inside is smaller in height, but is long and wide enough to fit a 9"x 13 casserole dish. However is for the various options of cooking, reheating, defrosting and melting. The sound of the microwave is nicely quiet, and the fans have an option to set from low to high speed. The dual fan ventilation helps to clear smoke and grease in the air, when the microwave is over the oven. Another benefit of this microwave is the option to use the WiFi capabilities, and connect to the Kitchen Aid app on your smartphone or android. It's a convenient way to manage your cooking settings and monitor the progress of what your cooking. There is also an option in the app to use voice command with Alexa or Google Assistant. My experience with the microwave so far has been really good, with the exception finding additional informatiion about the settings option on the control panel. I couldn't figure out how to set the date and time, however after I turned off the remote on the control panel it rebooted the microwave. There's a packet of information, such as a quick guide for using the microwave and for installation. However I was very frustrated when I couldn't find any information about certain things about the microwave online, and calling Whirlpool did me no good. Overall I'm really impressed with my Kitchaid Smart Low profile Microwave, and I've already used the different setting modes. I've cooked, reheated and defrosted some food and the microwave works very well. There's also a self cleaning option, which is very convenient. You also can use a soft cloth with soap and water to clean. I really appreciate the Wifi capabilities, and downloading the app was very easy. The other day I wanted to how well the KitchenAid app worked, so I put in a casserole meal I pepared, went in to the other room and adjusted the cooking time from my phone. It's very convenient, but honestly I don't think I will be using it much, but the convenience of the option is there. I do recommend the KitchenAid Smart microwave for anyone who likes the efficiency and convenience of the smart capabilities of a microwave. A big plus for someone who travels alot and wants their meal ready when they get home. In my opinion this microwave is solely based on it's efficiency and smart capabilities

The LED lighting is a standout feature for me, as I can adjust it between cool and warm tones to suit my kitchen’s ambiance. While the touch display has a slight lag when pressing buttons, I’ve gotten used to it, and it’s a minor inconvenience compared to all the great features. This microwave is such a huge upgrade from the builder-grade one we previously had. I absolutely love it and would highly recommend it for anyone looking to modernize their kitchen!

• Beautiful microwave. Touch buttons. The fan can be loud but it’s powerful. It’s smaller but I like how it looks and gives more room for cooking on the stove. Smaller microwave size inside but does the job nicely, it’s not as small as you think and can cook a casserole dish. WiFi capable.

• Has some nice features our old microwave didn't have like the vent fan turning on automatically when cooking something on high for a longer period that is typically normal and at a high-power setting. Tremendous power on high setting with the vent fan. Uneventful installation of the microwave. Used it immediately to cook a meal after the install. We needed more clearance between our stove and the microwave and this model gave us what we needed.

• I didn’t realize how much technology has evolved in the kitchen department in the last decade! It was a bummer when our microwave bought 11 years ago finally quit working. Once this one was installed -I was happy we upgraded! It is so much quieter and more accurate than our old one! The meat defrost takes 2/3 of the time as our old one did and it actually thaws the frozen mean versus cooking half of it and leaving the other half still froze! That in and of itself was such a great upgrade! The smart features are a nice addition also, love being able to control the functions from my phone or ipad. The microwave is also much easier to clean and I don’t notice finger prints accumulating as much as our old stainless steel did. All in all I’m happy with this microwave and would recommend it to others!

• Great experience. My order was delivered when promised. The oven was easy to install with just a little assistance from my wife. The operation and features are exactly as advertised. We will especially like the low profile over our oven. This microwave is like a sports car over our compared to the last two tank size microwaves we had. Don't let the low profile fool you. There's nothing that we can't do in this one that we could do in the previous two that we're twice the size. We have no regrets.

• It works perfectly for us....I have lots of positives about its use and very few negatives. Only one I can think of, actually, is that it doesn't have an independent timer for anything that is going on in the kitchen or on the stove below it. (I bought a hand-held timer for that as a result). I need to be alerted to the few minutes of broiling of bread for example ....I can't enumerate the number of crostini's I've scorched! In a summary, I can think of no great negatives about this appliance. By the way...I love the narrow oven....don't think I'd ever roast a turkey in a microwave anyway.

• I love this microwave but it’s annoying buttons and sudden fan activation takes off two stars but I think it’s a great microwave otherwise . The overall look and cooking with melt, defrost etc features are excellent . It can be gentle or strong when you need it. The setup for cooking is on a learning curve, you just have to learn to overcome this machines quirks . I close the door hard sometime the fan will blast on.. the overhead light for the stove will come on with the slightest accidental touch or firm door shut. It would be nice if there was a knob or dial option , the push buttons pad area are very specific to work- if your finger is not touching the right area it won’t work

• (I received this microwave in exchange for an honest review) *** ITS LITERALLY BEING INSTALLED RIGHT NOW this was the only picture I could sneak I was so excited lol***** Update: I just used it for the first time to reheat some leftovers and I am overjoyed! It fit in the spot so smoothly, it’s flush. Side note: Please MEASURE your space FIRST before purchasing it!! It’s so quiet when it beeps to tell you your food is done and I like that( I HATE those loud annoying beeps other brands do) . It’s very spacious and sleek looking.

• I’ve been using the KitchenAid Smart Low Profile Microwave Hood Combination with Dual Fan Ventilation for a few weeks, and while I haven’t figured out all the fancy features yet, I’m already impressed! The sleek design is a beautiful addition to my kitchen, and the dual fan ventilation works well to clear out cooking odors. The microwave heats food evenly, and it’s surprisingly quiet. I’m giving it 4 stars because I haven’t fully explored all its functions yet, but it’s definitely a high-quality appliance so far.

• So far we are happy with the microwave. Appreciate the sleek daign and glass touch screen. The lighter color interior allows the interior light to be brighter which helps when cleaning. All the functionality you'll ever need is right at your fingertips!

• Microwave works good. Had to have technician out. Noticed air blowing from top and bottom even being vented outside. He checked damper and everything. Guess will always have some air blowing from bottom and top. (Not a lot)

• My husband and I are absolutely thrilled to have this microwave! We have never had such a convenient, technological microwave. This lovely appliance is very quiet when heating food, even the chime when it’s done is pleasant. The installation took us about an hour, so it was quick. It seems very well made and durable. It looks great in our kitchen and, BONUS, gives us more counter space. I’ve shown it to a bunch of my family and they all want one! Love this appliance!!

• This microwave is a huge upgrade from what we had before. It is nice and slim, so you have more room over your stove for cooking. The light is amazing as you can change the warmth of the LEDs from soft white, cool white, and daylight. It was very easy to setup and has so many different features that my wife and I love. This microwave is definitely worth it!

• I love my new microwave! It is compact but has plenty of power and space. The exhaust fan is great and has several settings. The light that shines down on the stove also has several settings. I recommend this microwave to replace a hood exhaust fan because it does both.

• I received this product for free in exchange of my honest review. This KitchenAid smart low profile microwave hood combo is very sleep and indeed low profile that it will blend into any modern kitchens well. The design is simple with a smooth and flat surface, including a touch pad, making cleaning and wiping easy and simple. The microwave functions as expected and well. There is dual fan ventilation with 600 CFM which is adequate for normal and casual cooking. There is still be smoke and grease escaping with heavy cooking and searing. I didn't utilize the smart function much (voice command) since pressing on the keys is simple and quick enough. I particularly like how this combo is space saving with a clean look.

• Everything about this microwave is great apart from the HUGE time lag between pressing a button and something happening (cooking, fan, light - all of it). It's extremely frustrating and I can only imagine it would be trivial for the manufacturer to address. It is so annoying that I considered returning the microwave. Ugh!

• A nice sleek look. The smaller depth gives it a more modern look. The shorter neigh opens up the space in the kitchen. Very user friendly and leaves more room in my kitchen.
