• I bought this unit to replace an aging whirlpool slide in range. The old range was noisy and the oven would not stay lit. After several calls, the technician recommended due to its age to replace it. This one is very silent and I can tell Whirlpool has made several design improvements. The front burners are very powerful and heat water quickly. Notice in the photo, I filled the gap between the countertop and the range with a PVC trim product. The advantage of this is you can bend the end of the trim around the contour of the countertop. Just heat it a little, bend it around the countertop and tape it down for a day. I am very pleased with my purchase.

• Whirlpool and Lowe’s are playing with their customers. Neither of the two companies are able to solve my problem. I bought a 5.0 Cu. Ft. Whirlpool® Gas Range with Frozen Bake™ Technology in October 2023, and it got damaged after using the self-cleaning feature. I wrote to both companies, and none of them have done anything to fix this situation or replace my RANGE. Don't buy their products. In less than three months, they are damaged. And these companies do nothing to fix it and pass the ball between them.

• Doesn’t hold the temp, inaccurate calibration, sharp edges on the storage drawer, cut my hand, racks are cheaply made, don’t like it at all. I am a retired executive chef have worked with ovens my whole entire life. Having this in my house is most annoying. I want a replacement and my money back

• Stay away from this extremely poor design and service. The grates are off set from burners. Thus pots cant be centered under the burner. This causes uneven cooking. Customer service is horrible not acknowledging it is a deficiency.

• I’m not happy that my oven while it’s in use turns on and off I’m not sure if that’s the standard for the oven I called the helpline and they said yes but I had a double oven and never had my oven turn on and off like that so this is the first time I’ve had a range and I’m not sure if that’s normal. And the model number that you have for the review is not the model that I received and purchase because I was told that we weren’t able to have that model that it was out of stock or you couldn’t get it so this is the model number that I’m reviewing WEG515SOLSI

• This was my 2nd whirlpool as the range was so flimsy that it was damaged. Along the top sides it had buckled and barely fit in the 30" opening. The base had been compromised and twisted. It was so bad the storage drawer was sticking out 1" This range had been moved with straps, not a dolly. It had minimal contact with the surrounding environment, not enough to have caused the damage to my unit. The second unit was handled with kit gloves. When the delivery driver tilted it back to place the sling carry straps, the two rear corners rolled under. We gently got the range in place without further issue. Now it gets a 4 star rating for function. PS don't Hire Lowe's to move and install anything.

• This range was supplied by the builder in a new construction home. Its alright. Sometimes takes forever to ignite but the thing I dislike the most is how hot the top is when using the oven. Is it normal to radiate heat to the stovetop when using the oven, at almost the same temperature of what the inside is?

• My new gas range looks great and cooks much more efficiently than the old one. I’m looking forward to roasting a large Thanksgiving turkey in the big oven.

• I am only giving it a 4 of 5 stars because I haven't used it but to bake one item so far. The stove top works very well the way the grates are designed to cover the complete top, you can put almost any cooking pan/pot on it and slide cooked items to a warming burner easily. You can also put a lot of items on top without concern of it tipping over or having to be on a specific spot so it won't tip over or to cook. Thus, using a griddle is very simply done as well.

• So far I really like this range. It is sleek looking and seems to work well. I haven't baked anything yet, and that is the real test. Two caveats though: 1. The "grills" or whatever they are called on the top of the cook top are very heavy. They were heavy with every range I considered, but they can give you a work out when you clean which is not necessarily a bad thing. 2. I have cats, and I learned that one of cats can turn the oven on when he walks across the front control panel! A few times, I couldn't figure out why the oven was on, and then I saw him do it. I am working on training him.

• Got this stove and DO NOT like the tone when the oven reaches its temperature...you can't hear it. I basically need to stand there until temp is reached. The drawer is very flimsy and I read that when I use the self clean feature, that I must remove everything in the drawer..I only keep cookie sheets in there...a lot of work! It's a slide in style and doesn't go back all the way to the wall, probably due to the gas line., looks dumb with a gap Can't figure out how the pizza/lasagna no pre heat works either. No explanation about it. Manual is very brief. Why have that feature if I have to babysit this stove....beeper is terrible. Previous stove you could hear it all over the house!!!.

• I bought this gas stove/ oven a month ago to replace my old one. Everything I didn’t like about my old 10-year model was fixed with this version. A bigger window in front, fingerprint resistant on the stainless steel, stronger burners and 2 of these in front, instead of one. Also the placement of the 4 burners are more to the right/left of the stove top allowing two larger pots side by side. And lastly, the oven broiler is electric instead of gas which I like, as well as there is a light on the panel that indicates if any of the stove knobs aren’t turned off all the way. Very happy with all the great changes that this stove/oven have. Installation was easy. The only negative is that it didn’t come with side flaps in case the counter top width cutout is a little too wide, but these can be bought separately to give it a finished touch if you have a very small gap. A Beautiful Range.

• We purchased this range to compliment the other Whirlpool appliances in our new kitchen. So far, the range is great. The issue I have is, there were several of the control knobs that were damaged with the finish scraped off which was noticed when peeling back the protective film. I have contacted Whirlpool customer service twice and so far, nothing but crickets on my request to simply send me replacement knobs. I mean, how difficult could that be? Or at least a "real person" to reach out to me..... However, I did receive an auto reply email..... "we will be in touch with you shortly".... Hmmmm, shortly? I've purchased Whirlpool appliances for over 40 years and this range will more than likely be my last. If they can't replace a couple damaged control knobs, how can I expect them to repair something larger if it were to go out?

• I would not have selected this stove. The grates are large and heavy and take up the entire dishwasher racks when I want to clean them. There is no back to prevent my backsplash grout from getting greasy. (I purchased plexiglass and mounted it behind the range). The handles are level with the burners so they get greasy. I have found only Dawn detergent will clean the grease without streaking. The drawer doesn't close right and requires effort to line up and close. All that said, it works great, and it is attractive. The clean oven function was amazing. It's just not my first choice on design.

• This stove / oven came with the new home I purchased a few weeks ago. I am used to electric and I used an oven thermometer when I first heated it up but the oven is off by 25 degrees......luckily I tested it before I cooked the prime rib and pumpkin pies or everything would be undercooked. Once I settle I will have them come out and calibrate the oven. Gas cooks faster than electric on the stove top and metal handles DO heat up using gas vs electric. It's a nice looking stove and it has a drawer at the bottom to store baking and cookie sheets . I'm still getting used to cooking with gas

• Does not cook food to temperature set after 2 and 1/2 hours. Error message on panel when using oven. Under mfg 12 month warranty. Two service calls and issue not resolved. Corporate executive office has latency in resolving issue. Very troublesome and never experienced a company refusing to stand by their product and replace with proof of the issue. Baffled!

• It has been a few weeks now...so far so good. Very nice looking too. So expensive and this was the lowest price for the whirpool slide in style. We wanted it to match our other appliances. The prior whirlpool we had only lasted 3yrs...it had a gas leak of some kind and I did not get the warranty unfortunately. Just can't get over a simple oven over $1600.00

• I've only had the range a week, but I love it so far. I like the slide in with the controls on top and I'm happy to have 4 burners and one oven again. The settings are easy to use - I still haven't figured out the timer yet and initially accidently turned off the oven trying to use it - but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

• First of all, I only have had this range since August 2024 - 7 months, and the control panel just up and died on me a couple of weeks ago. Apparently the repair company cannot get the part until this coming Monday the 17th of March!!! Also, I assumed that since I was purchasing a gas stove, that the broiler would also be gas. Even after it was hooked up I didn't know it was electric until I started using it. I do not like electric broilers! This was something that the store salesman should have pointed out but they are poorly educated as to their products features. I contacted Whirlpool customer service to replace the stove which is still under warranty but they declined. Won't be looking at Whirlpool products ever again. I am without an oven now going on 3 weeks!!

• Have been using this oven for two months in a brand new house It will not come to degree set and stalls at 200 degrees. The range top knobs spin past the shut off and you cannot tell they are in on or off position. Horrible intro to this range 2 months of use! Repair not coming until end of July.

• We love the sleek look of having the controls in front of range. It makes it look nice against the backsplash. We felt the panel on the back of other ranges looked old fashioned. We wish the grates lifted up independently. That would make it easier for cleaning around the burners.
