  • so far, the microwave has been a nice upgrade. the item was suppose to be delivered 2 months ago but this was a replacement item bc the last whirlpool microwave burnt up but CS did make it right. the trim kit is much larger than the older model. the microwave it self is much quieter when opening and closing the door. you are able to turn off the beeping without trying to find a hack from the instructions. the only gripe which obviously is a safety feature is the child lock. I haven't found a way to disable it. other than than, only reason I'm giving it a 4/5 is bc I can't speak for it's longevity. so far, it's been a good purchase

  • bought as a replacement. stayed with Whirlpool. easy install with trim kit. was thrilled to see the kit came with a replacement "pan" to secure the microwave in the cabinet. the oven works and looks terrific.

  • Microwave works great. However, the light went out on my unit and changing the led bulb requires taking the thing apart. So just a heads up. Instead of putting a cover on the inside. The designers/product people chose to make you take it apart to change a serviceable item. Just a dumb design, the design team should be embarrassed at this oversight. I will say that I am not upset as this happened in the warranty period so they are sending me another, but this doesnt give me warm fuzzies about Whirlpool design team and their products.

  • I had to replace my eye level microwave installed after seven years in our new house. I was hoping just to get an updated version of the one the builder installed. I had to order this cabinet mounted micro from a catalog, and did not see a store model. Most features are the same, but both the cook time button and power mode button are very hard to differentiate. They are in the same space with just a line separating them. I feel these "buttons" are the most used ones on the micro, and should be given ample space between them. This micro is extremely hard to use to cook things a lower power levels.

  • Have had this unit for a couple of weeks. Panel where buttons are is not totally flat (a few spots where it looks like it is bubbling). Sometimes when cooking in microwave, it gets smokey inside.

    BReynolds02/11/2026 12:38 PM

  • I’ve only had our new microwave for a week however everyone in the house seems happy so far.

    Lakehouse renovator10/20/2025 04:57 AM

  • This microwave is a sleek, modern countertop microwave with a 2.2 cu. ft. capacity and 1200 watts of power, making it perfect for large plates and fast, consistent heating. It features sensor cooking and presets for common tasks like popcorn, potatoes, reheating, and melting, while the Steam Clean function and removable, dishwasher-safe turntable make cleaning easy.

  • My 3.5 year old Whirlpool microwave, an earlier edition of this new one, developed a bad magnetron. I purchsed what I thought was the same microwave, but 2025 edition. VERY BASIC. The new microwave does NOT have a CLOCK button and you have to hold the TIMER button to set the clock. Not intuitive. I have to read the manual to use other selections that used to be no-brainers on the old microwave, such as defrost. While the 1-2-3 auto buttons are nice to hit, i can't seem to do my in-between selections I used to do such as 1 minute 45 seconds, etc. I'm disappointed. First of all that the prior microwave developed a bad magnetron, and that the new one for a base model requires reading the manual to do what was simple on the prior one. And the whole thing with trim kit cost $600.

  • This was a replacement for a product that failed in my new home and I have been pleasantly surprised at the improved build quality.

    Jeramie09/09/2025 07:22 AM

  • My old microwave that was purchased with the house failed and we had it replaced with this microwave and we think it's awesome!

    GMD110/09/2025 01:53 AM

  • This microwave only lasted for a few weeks before we had issues with it. The door doesn’t open even after pressing the door release. Customer service was an absolute nightmare!

    AmandaM02/14/2026 02:38 AM

  • The microwave looks more sleek than the previous discontinued model i had. The required new unlock required by UL is annoying. I did hear from other users that the button to open the door may eventually break if you try to force open the door while it’s still locked. Also, i wish i can easily set timer ex: 20 seconds

    Jinac11/28/2025 02:03 AM

  • This was a warranty replacement but the guy that installed it said that we needed to contact the builder cuz we needed shims. Seriously? We have had the previous microwave for almost two years with no issues other than that it stopped heating. The repairman should have been able to fix it

    Becky09/26/2025 10:12 AM

  • This is the worst microwave that I have ever owned. Wish I could return it. I hate the lock program. I also miss buttons to select more heating options for certain dishes. I find it difficult to choose a microwave setting by pushing one time button.

    unhappy consumer10/05/2025 04:15 AM

  • Good microwave - heats food quickly. However, it has a child lock feature which is annoying. You have to press stop/unlock every time to get the food out. The manual says this feature can be disabled, but in reality it does not let you do that

    Raj C09/13/2025 01:17 AM

  • I got this microwave installed by an approved vendor because my other 2 year old whirlpool microwave stopped working and this one ran for two weeks and stopped heating.

    Mewpak12/30/2025 12:07 AM

  • This microwave is replacing one that I had to change twice and so far is working perfectly.

    Williboy3311/28/2025 02:00 AM

  • The two step feature to unlock is terrible. Cannot set a cook time in precise seconds and can only set in 10-second increments. Again, terrible. The microwave also beeps for no reason. You can use it and get your food out, and 30 minutes later it beeps. Setting the clock is also a major headache. Would not pick this microwave again, but it was the builders only option.

  • We were underwhelmed at the operational features and have yet to master them. The instructions were not helpful at all. If we had known about the vast differences in its operation we wouldn’t have bought it. It was easy to install and looks good except for a small bubble by the key pad. If I hadn’t broken up the box already my wife would probably send it back.

    Okden02/19/2026 02:56 AM

  • This model replaced my previous one and am happy with what I have observed so far. There was a big-time communication gap between main office and warehouse on when ot deliver. Luckily that day of delivery (was Jan 7 and then Jan 15), the message was not shared with delivery person. So, they stopped by on Jan 7. quick set up and all good.

    Anonymous01/09/2026 02:42 AM

  • unit looks good installed with trim kit. trim kit when properly mounted easily receives the oven. i'd say a bit above average DIY skills to self install. a helper to lift oven into place is greatly preferred to my own cobbling together objects to get it incrementally up into place.

    steve03/04/2026 02:59 AM

  • Love my new microwave! It heats food quickly and evenly, looks great in my kitchen, and is very easy to use. The controls are straightforward, and it runs quietly. Definitely a great purchase and worth the money!

    GSL712/26/2025 03:32 AM

  • 2.5 weeks into receiving... Once working through the learning curves as to the functions overall minor diffs from previous unit, up thus far plus to all expectations.

    AJPet11/17/2025 05:05 PM

  • This model is not nearly as good as my older one. It is very complicated to use. Also the frame is so high I cannot open the cupboard above.
