• Microwave broke in less than one year. We barely used it throughout the year. Made a loud pop and then suddenly died. Called to have it replaced and they sent a repairman out. He took the whole microwave apart and found multiple frayed and black wires. See photos below. Seems like a fire hazard to me and after spending $650 I would expect WAY MORE from a reputable brand like whirlpool. Customer service will not replace it until deemed unrepairable in their eyes… after gutting the whole microwave and now we wait for new parts. TOTAL INCONVENIENCE. Steer clear …

• In 20 days after installation the glass front shattered during normal operation. The edge of a pot I was using on the range grazed the front edge of the microwave and small pieces of the glass/plastic microwave front fell off the bottom edge and the whole front started creaking and shattering. I put packing tape over the front to keep most of the shattered glass in place. The warrenty people were very helpful in arranging for a repair person to come out within week. But alas, he didn't know what he was dealing with and didn't bring/order a replacement door. So still waiting. The front shattered so easily, I suspect this won't be on the market for long if there are similar experiences.

• This microwave was purchased for a kitchen remodel. It has been installed for a few weeks and so far I love it! I especially like how it is a flush design so it doesn’t stick out from the cabinet;, the automatic fan works great; and it is so easy to wipe clean! My husband likes it because it is so easy to use (which is saying a lot because he didn’t really want to do the remodel/new appliance thing in the first place)!

• Great looking unit. Fit perfectly where we needed it. The inside cook area is much smaller than a similar size microwave, and does not have a turntable. Suits our needs just fine, we don't cook big stuff in the microwave.

• Installed today. Fits great. I’ve learned to use all the features even though there is NO ‘INSTRUCTION ‘ book. Fairly easy to figure out.

• I purchased a microwave, but after using it a few times, it stopped heating. I attempted to return it to the store, but they refused to take it back. I contacted the warranty center, and they sent a technician to inspect it. However, it has been over two weeks without any updates. I am quite disappointed with the service.

• I bought the microwave and had it installed in October 2023. It provided a professional appearance as the microwave is flushed with my cabinets. Control panel being inside of the microwave gave a smooth appearance. The self cleaning function is a first for microwaves. The venting system within the microwave when used as an above stove venting system in place of a professional extractor works outstanding. Recommend the purchase along with the additional expense.

• Still trying to get used to it. There is no turn table (which I like), but it gets steamy/wet when used. It may need more venting. It’s different than any other microwave I have had in the past. I love the looks of it inside and out. The inside is black & easy to clean. The outside leaves fingerprints (I don’t like), but it looks sleek and modern

• I got this microwave when I ordered my new cabinets, and it won’t heat at all. I’ve reset it, took it off demo mode, and everything and it still won’t heat. I cooked some leftovers for 10 mins the food was still cold. I call Lowe’s because they installed it, they said call whirlpool. I did of course it was after hours. I’m so frustrated at this point.

• It's a really classy microwave with a sleek design. Love that it's black inside but keep in mind it doesn't rotate. Popcorn sensor cooking is amazing. Make sure there's no water spill over because it affects the sensors.

• My wife wanted this microwave because it would "look good" in our kitchen. It does but it also has some shortcomings that make it less than ideal to use. The door is so long that you have to step back when using it to open and close the door. The door will not stay open unless you open it all the way back so you are constantly fighting it unless you remember to push it all the way open. You have to program the cooking stuff inside the door, then close the door to hit start, although you can hit the 30 second button on the outside for some quick. It's not all bad, the microwave does work well but it's the little quirks that bother me.

• It was broken upon arrival from Lowe’s. Lowe’s told me I had to contact whirlpool to get it fixed. Whirlpool sent out a third party repair company who spent 6 minutes at my house to only take a picture of the receipt. Then told me I’d have to wait for a part to get ordered, and said they had no time timeline. Whirlpool then Sent an email saying the part was back ordered. Microwave still doesn’t work and I have had it a month. Someone should have had common sense and quickly replaced it or taken it back and refunded me. I expected more from whirlpool and Lowe’s.

• I was a little hesitant bc there are always a few bad reviews. Not sure why. I absolutely love this flush mount microwave. Love the way it looks and it seems to heat better than my old turn table microwave. I was also looking for a microwave with better lighting. The single 40 watt bulb just doesn’t cut it. This one has two LED lights that light up my whole counter and stove. I can finally see what I’m cooking. I definitely recommend this microwave!!

• I have had this microwave for about 3 weeks. A game changer in technology. First notice is how sleek it appears and it totally upgraded my kitchen. (And it is only 2 years old..the kitchen). The settings such as melt and soften makes life so much easier. The steam clean issue does require placing a cup of water in the microwave, but it works wonderful. Most reheats only takes a minute or two which is awesome. A few cons it is very HOT. Settings such as reheat tends to overcook your plate if you are not watching. However that may be related more to the different cook technology that I may need to adjust to. No regrets so far.

• Liked it at first then It broke after one week. It couldn’t get replaced since we purchased from a store. We had to wait for a repair technician that they provided/approved to come out and tell us it was indeed not working. He had to order two parts but was unable to tell us when they would arrive and when he could repair. The technician did not think it would happen before the new year. So we will be without a microwave all through Christmas. The technician said we should contact whirlpool and when we contacted whirlpool they said we should contact the technician and he should contact his whirlpool representative. Here we wait.

• I was skeptical but I love this. It is so easy to clean, big enough to fit two sets of our plates making it able to heat more at once. The only thing that won't fit is my largest pyrex bowl... but the butter soften and scramble egg cook options preventing unwanted food explosions make it an easy trade off. I haven't had it long but so far have absolutely loved it. If anything changes over time I will modify my review. However, if you are on the fence about this new technology I say it is so worth it. I hated exploding butter and eggs and now can cook both in peace and just cleaned it in 10 seconds vs a 15 minute process.

• I recently installed the Whirlpool Flush Mount Microwave and am very pleased with it so far. It looks really sharp - doesn't stick out past the cabinet like most over the range microwaves do. As far as function is concerned, it is very powerful and heats food quickly. I think it is easy to use. Some reviews complain about the keypad being inside the door. But that is part of its seamless finish. It is not an issue for me and there are quick start buttons on the outside of the door that I use most of the time anyway. I am happy with my purchase.

• Not happy with this microwave or the dealer that i bought it from. The tone option does not work. I called the dealer & they came & looked at it & the answer i got was & i quote ( all the new ones are like that, they don't have a loud tone noise to them).If that's the case then tell me why does the tone option have 1. a mute setting for the tone, 2. an off/on setting. 3. a volume setting of low, medium, or high. If it has all these option settings why doesn't mine work??? Waiting for an intelligent answer why mine doesn't work, This wasn't a cheap microwave & i expect all the options to work properly & not to be told ( that's the way all the new ones are.

• Appliance very sleek looking. No real instructions as to how to use. Followed instructions on appliance screen, but didn’t get results I wanted. I pretty much use the 30 sec button for everything I heat up. Fan is too loud, not much difference in high,medium & low. Like that two lights and in great position to replace.

• Like clockwork, every 5 years the microwave breaks. It is always a door error. When I replaced it five years ago I didn't think I'd still be living here in 5 years. Joke's on me!

• Like the dimensions and flush installation with my kitchen cabinets. Takes a little bit longer to heat things up than my older microwave, but the distribution is more even.

• 30 year electrical engineer here. This unit was.....okay, but produced uneven cooking and trapped odors. I was excited to try the 'turntable-less' design. Although the operation of this was 'adequate', it wasn't worth the $500+ to me compared to units 1/2 the cost. I didn't expect perfect operation, this is a new design concept. Cold spots aren't a big issue, but it was producing some hot spots which I haven't normally seen in turntable units. If one lets food sit for a minute, which is needed in all microwave ovens, then the cold spots will warm up. That's fine. But this unit was severely overcooking some areas of the food. It should be noted that this unit appears to have a turntable or other energy dispersal mechanism hidden in the bottom that reflects microwave energy. What prompted me to ultimately return this was the coating inside the unit was badly trapping food odors. After only two days of use, the inside stunk badly of old food, requiring cleaning of what looked like clean surfaces. This was a deal breaker. I stuck my face into the old microwave that was used for 2 weeks for the same food.....no smell at all. I don't remember ever opening a previous microwave and immediately thinking it needed cleaned. If it did not have the odor issue, I probably would have kept it. Hats off to the engineers, who clearly put some work into this. Someday the perfect-energy-at-every-point unit will be invented, and they'll look into the odor trapping issue. I'm a bit disappointed after telling all my family that I bought a fancy no-turntable microwave.
