• The cooler keeps our large master bedroom at a nice comfortable temperature for sleeping. It is much quieter than an older unit that we replaced. Very easy to feel the difference immediately.

• Using this unit in a 12x16 completely insulated with blown in insulation ( even under the floor) in North Central Alabama. It has been in use 24/7 for the first half of June. June temps upper 80’s daytime & mid 60’s at night. This unit has been truly “plug & play”. I set the temp to 72 and the fan to auto. I do have a thermometer in the building with a station that displays the temp inside my home. It consistently maintains that temp. Controls are intuitive. Install was a breeze. I like the factory attached metal bar across the top that holds it in place against the metal frame of the raised window with no stress on the window. I find it to be at least as quiet as the previous unit that I had here. Overall, very pleased with unit’s performance & ease of use. Oh, almost forgot! I like its “slide out” filter too! It hasn’t needed cleaning yet but, it removes and replaces easily pulling out of the Left side of the unit vertically and slides back in easily. I like the built in “screen” filter which I feel would clean easily with a handheld or shop vac.

• Timer can be set for on and off. Can run just the fan for air circulation. Several cooling an fan modes plus an echo mode. Quieter than most of this size. Easy installation.

• I am pleased with how well these little units cool. My daughter's 3 ton AC unit went out on a very hot week, so I bought 2 of these 6,000 btu units to help give some relief. One was installed in the master bedroom and the other in the Living Room. Their combined capacity was only 1/3 of what their central unit was, but they did an incredible job of cooling down the house. Not that they covered all the rooms of course, but with fans to help circulate, they were able to reduce the humidity and temperature, and the family could get by until the failed central unit could be replaced.

• The overall design makes installation fairly easy, even if you have 75 years of paint to cut thru just to get the sash up. When I did tho, it fit right in that ancient window frame. A little drilling and screwdriver is all you need. It cools this room quickly and easily. I often have to turn it down or off once in a while. Its good to know you can still depend on GE!

• Our house has central air conditioning but after a small addition was added that room was always uncomfortable during the summer months. This window mounted a/c unit is definitely doing the job. It keeps this 220 square foot bedroom very comfortable and air circulation is great. The price for the unit at Lowe’s was very reasonable. It’s a little noisy but I’m comparing it to our central a/c . All in all it’s a nice unit that’s very easy to install and the remote works like a charm. Thank you GE !!

• I purchased this AC unit based on the positive reviews. It cools very well. It is quiet and not as heavy as the older units. I purchased this to replace an older unit, a different brand. I have a GE Stove and dishwasher. I am very pleased.

• Replaced a 70+ dB unit with this 6000 BTU model. It runs in the low to mid-50 dB range and is noticeably quieter. No window rattle when properly secured. Keeps a Florida bedroom cool even heading into summer. Filter does need cleaning every couple of weeks during heavy use, which is expected here.

• I like the eco/auto feature where the ac goes off & on when the weather isn’t too hot, but hot enough to use ac. It’s quiet & takes care of my 2 semi-small connected rooms.

• I love my new GE air conditioner. My house is a 200 square foot tiny house. This air conditioner is great in every way. It’s not too noisy, so it doesn’t interrupt what ever I’m doing. The temperature is right on the spot.

• The AC was easy to install and comes with everything you need in the box which made the set up process easy and straightforward. It does require two person to set up due to its size but once it’s in place, it was simple to use. I like that it comes with a remote control which made it convenient to adjust the settings from anywhere in the room. It gets cold quickly and blows strong and powerful air which helps to cool down the room quickly.

• Love that the AC is easy to install and lightweight. Great for small room. It is easy to setup and use with LED digital controls. Come with remote control for convenience. It has 3 cooling, 3 fan, and eco mode setting. For small room, it cool quite fast. For the noise, like most AC, a little bit loud but manageable loud that I do not noticed once it run continuously like most AC.

• My window air conditioner doesn’t appear to have a drain plug. Just a rectangular hole in the bottom pan. Is that normal? My old one had a small rubber drain plug.

• I absolutely love how cool this gets our kitchen! I do a lot of cooking so it gets real hot. I really don’t like using a lot of the big unit outside when I don’t have too. That’s why having one of these will keep your electric bill way down!

• Georgia weather can change in a second - so having to switch from the heater to the AC is exhausting and expensive. Having the option to simply turn on this small room AC unit I can make my office space a cool room within a few minutes. Extremely easy to install, but I will say heavy. My office is on the second floor and I will say I was very worried to install this on my own as any little mishap could cause it to tumble down. However, I was able to install and setup with no issues. My room cools down in a matter of minutes and the unit is not as loud as you would expect.
