• We have not plugged in the appliance yet, because we are waiting 24 hours. We don't know what it went through during shipment and storage at the store, so we are letting it sit so any displaced oil goes back to where it should be. The size if perfect for what we need.

• My husband installed this freezer on Saturday in our garage and he was impressed with the quality of build. I like the interior light and it is the perfect amount of space for freezing my fruit.

• So far, I really like the freezer, especially the green light to tell you that it’s on and the red light to tell you whether or not it’s cold enough I think that is a great feature and they give you two baskets which fit nicely in the top I give this freezer a 10!

• Freezer runs quiet. Love the warning light to let us know if it isn't freezing properly. We are buying a second identical freezer to hold the half of beef we are buying. This is replacing a 40 year old freezer of the same capacity.

• This newer model is replacing the NOT garage ready GE chest freezer we have had out in the carport for fifteen years and is still running strong. The reason I bought a new one was to get a real garage ready model and because we have asked a lot of the older freezer. This new unit is a little bigger and has an interior light. The outside indicator lights are bigger and brighter and the back is caged to keep critters out. Everything looks more robust and better insulated. We let it cool down overnight but it was very cold within two hours of plugging it in. If this machine does as well as the last one, we will be very happy. PS - I took the old one to the barn to hold horse feed and keep it safe from pests.

• Great size! This freezer allows for stackable baskets to store a variety of foods all neatly organized. The lid is light weight & easy to open. We're very happy we selected GE.

• This is the chest freezer, I always dream of, the capacity is great. I love the interior light,has the right temperature everything stays cold; the dimensions are just right for my home and insulation was easy. • I’m really impressed with the GE 8.8 Cu. Ft. Manual Defrost Chest Freezer! The 8.8 cu. ft. capacity is perfect for storing a lot of frozen food without taking up too much space. It has plenty of room for everything I need, from large cuts of meat to frozen veggies and ice cream. Plus, it’s super quiet—doesn’t make any noise that would bother me while it’s running. Overall, it’s a solid freezer that works well and doesn't take up too much space, all while staying nice and quiet. Highly recommend!

• We received delivery & installation of the 8.8 Cubic Foot freezer two days ago & loaded it today. It is slightly larger than the Kenmore we previously had but seem a lot larger. It also seems to be much more of a solid, well-built product.
