  • My builder installed and we loved it. Good technical support

  • Poorly engineered and incredibly shoddy construction...all for a ridiculously high price

  • We are really happy with the convection microwave that works with this trim kit but sadly the trim kit itself is about the cheapest thing I've ever seen. In addition to its poor appearance instaed of using brackets that attach to the kit that sits inside the cabinet to attach it too it attach with 4 screws that drill into the front of your cabinetry.. horrible horrible design..

  • Very poor quality , we don’t use it a lot but it stopped working.

  • Digital screen went out one space at a time. Buttons stopped working. The plate inside began to sown when we opened the door. Now it stopped working altogether. This is the only microwave I have ever had break down. Even my cheap office microwave had lasted years. This thing started having issues when it was only 2 years old. All of my neighbors are having the same issues with this model.

  • We had to replace our previous GE Profile microwave and trim kit. The previous trim kit was all stainless steel and we never had a problem with it. The new trim kit is cheep plastic with a stainless steel veneer. It is poorly engineered and dings extremely easily. You can see warping where the plastic struts are underneath the veneer. Extremely disappointed with how awful it looks after one day. Not worth it for the cost. I will probably return both microwave and trim kit and start over with another company.

  • This microwave has been broken 3 times. I have home warranty which is a terrible insurance, it is a scam to be insured with home choice warranty. I need to buy a new microwave to replace what I have now

    Maxia04/11/2024 06:51 PM

  • Very, very dissatisfied with this product. Height is almost 2 inches shorter than the trim kit which it is supposed to replace, requiring extensive and expensive cabinetry work because the replacement model microwave/convection is a considerably shorter height also. This is not to mention much less stainless steel trim than the model it takes the place of, replaced by cheap black plastic instead, clearly visible on the sides.

  • I bought a replacement for my 20-year-old GE profile microwave and it turned out I had to replace the trim kit as well. The new trim kit is is cheaply constructed and poorly designed. The microwave door would rub on the trim kit, keeping the door from fully opening. It’s also incredibly flimsy in comparison to my original trim kit (mostly flimsy plastic). I regret not looking at other brands, but I was very happy with my old microwave and trim kit, so I figured why shop around. I’ll never make that mistake again! I’d give it zero stars if I could.

  • I’m bringing my purchase back for refund! What I thought would be an easy swap of one trim piece for another… EVERYTHING with the new trim kit is difficult! WHY would you make it so that all the screws must go in at 45 degree angles??? I guess it’s a way to ensure the GE repair people have job security! Very disappointed in this product!

    MV41405/13/2023 07:57 PM

  • That's great this is a 30" wide trim kit. Why won't you provide the height? You should know more then anyone that this is an important metric. Is it because once someone orders it they are stuck with it? SMH

    Jackmlk09/16/2021 07:55 PM

  • We had our 10-year old GE Profile Convection Microwave go out a couple of weeks ago and, after a failed repair attempt, the home warranty company replaced it with the equivalent current GE Profile convection microwave and built-in kit. The new kit is made of plastic vs the prior one being steel. Additionally, the new design is smaller than the prior comparable microwave and kit leaving a large gap above the kit. This has devalued our kitchen and now will need to spend more money to make it acceptable. Really disappointed on how cheap it looks around the sides.

    TJP2CPA08/13/2020 01:00 AM

  • I replaced an older GE microwave. I purchased a new one and the trim kits are not interchangeable. The old trim kit face mounted directly to the frame of the trim kit itself with tap and die screws. This one screws haphazardly directly into the face of the cabinet with cheap wood screws. It is wonky, cheap, and probably the worst looking thing in my kitchen. The stainless steel veneer is so thin you can see the warble in it from any part of the room. It is clear GE does not care about quality. No one with pride in their products would let this leave the design room. Shameful. I should have listed to the salesman and had one made from an online trim kit manufacture. Do yourself a favor and get something else.
