Installed ice maker on 12/16/25. It worked fine and produced very nice ice. On 01/10/26, all the ice was gone and wouldn't produce any more. I called customer service where I bought the machine, Shopappliances.com, since they have a 60 day return policy but told me I would have to contact Kichenaid for service. Had service come out and was told it needs a new compressor. It has been ordered and I am waiting. Certainly not the experience I had anticipated for a $3000.00 appliance. If you buy one, I truly hope yours lasts longer than mine did.
