Not satisfied, the fire level indicator from high to low it’s not visible, you have to angle your view to guess the fire level. The KitchenAid name brand it’s also not visible. The gas tops are weak in craftsmanship and the crates are easily scratched. I expected higher quality for the price paid.

Horrible!! Images on line are misleading. Finish has a film that looks worse than fingerprints and just smudges around. You can barely see the word KitchenAid and cannot see the writing for the controls at all. Horrible. I am sending it back. It was to replace a KitchenAid Cooktop - an older model. Granite is cut for that size, so I was told I had to replace with another KitchenAid. Reason I was replacing - the grates had warped and they no longer manufacture the middle grate!! Less than 10 years old. I would never buy this brand again. Beware, the images that you see here are not what you are going to get.

As several others have commented, I 3 different cooktops delivered and on all of them the writing is impossible to read (see picture). My appliance store admitted this was wrong but said the regional representative for kitchen aid said there is nothing they can do. I just gave up and accepted the 4th one they sent (still unreadable). It's a shame since the burners are great. I hope kitchen aid reads this and makes it right at this price point I'd expect more.

It looked very nice on the show room floor and it looks nice on my kitchen counter. Good power, and the size is just about right for my space. BUT... the labels around the turn knobs are barely visible in normal lighting at all but some angles, making it very hard to read unless your kitchen has showroom lighting. Thought it was a production issue but their replacement unit looked exactly same. Technician who came out to do the replacement also told me they had received more than a few other complaints about this model of the same issue. In other words, this is not an isolated issue but a design flaw. I would not recommend this product for usability issue at best and safety issue at worst.

A new kitchen renovation included three KitchenAid appliances including this 30" 5 burner cooktop. It's only been a couple of weeks since we started using this cooktop and so far it's been great. Everything works as advertised and it looks great too. The only little nit that I have is about the grates. They are not held in position very positively. They are only held in location by very small "nubs" that protrude up from the cooktop deck and mate with their opposite "nubs" on the underside of the grates. It's easy to slide the grates off their position. Only the weight of the grates keep them in place.

I can't say enough about my cooktop. I enjoy cooking with gas again having used electric for many years, I feel like in better control of my cooking, I haven't burned anything, yet! We added the retractable downdraft it is not only convenient but quiet in our kitchen with family room directly behind it.

We have had our cooktop for almost a year now. We only have one issue with it but, in my opinion it’s a BIG one and a safety issue. KitchenAid originally said it was covered under warranty. The replacement part that was sent had the exact same issue. Now, KitchenAid says it is a cosmetic issue and is not covered. When I talk to KitchenAid, they tell me that it is covered but their repair contactor tells me that KitchenAid tells them that it is not covered. As you can see in photo one (KitchenAid’s photo from their website), you can see the knob information is in black and easy to read. In photo two (my cooktop), you can’t see the knob information. This creates a safety issue since you can’t tell what you are turning on or what level the burner is set at. All our appliances in our kitchen are KitchenAid and I am very disappointed in they way they are handling this situation. Our friends have the same cooktop except theirs is 36” vs. our 30” and their knob information is black and very easy to read, unlike ours which is silver on stainless steel. Silver on stainless steel is virtually impossible to read unless the light hits it just right. I am very disappointed with KitchenAid, and this will definitely cause me to choose a different brand when we purchase other appliances. KitchenAid is unwilling to address a safety issue.

I am happy overall with the stove top in terms of cooking. However, very disappointed in the temperature guides. You can hardly see them. Very difficult to know where the low, medium and high settings are. Wondering if there are new decals we can get to make the temperature settings more clear.

I purchased the cooktop online. It’s not easy to lift the heavy steel grits to clean the stainless steel. I wouldn’t recommend this stovetop.

Purchased my Kitchenaid 30 inch stainless steel coiktop with Griddle over a month ago and just love the clean look and the 5 different size burners. The griddle is great too to make pancakes with for Breakfast. Much more modern looking than our 18 year old Kitchenaid cooktop.

I bought this burner last year for my kitchen remodeling and was delivered by November 2021. The project was done this January 2022. The middle burner is constantly trying to light up when not in use while the adjacent burner is being use. I have observed it attempting to ignite and this is a safety issue for me. I would not recommend this for anyone. Secondly, the nobs get sooooo hot when the front burners are in use. I have never experienced such before. Once all the burners are in use, the middle burner is constantly igniting, and you could actually hear the click sound. Should have kept my GE cooktop instead of wasting money to upgrade

Purchased 5 months ago. Kitchenaid first off is normally one of the best products on the market have a dishwasher amazing etc. So I view this as simply as a bad design and an exception to the rule. EXACTLY as folks are saying above is the same with ours burners fluctuating on and off with gas, scary pooping gas sounds, knobes super hot when on too close to burner rack, "protective" finishes coating are very rough making it hard to clean and leaves smudges and lint, not at all easy. Looking to replace but waiting for Kitchenaid to make a better design. Again I view this as very odd as normal Kitchaid products are outstanding this highly recommend to avoid. Also install was horrible hired thier service folks install was never fully completed ( gas switch nozzles to propane) had to hire our own afterwards additional hidden costs.

I have been using this cooktop since July, and still can't get used to the burners. They are too hot or not hot enough. I also did not realize that the knobs in the front take up a full 4 inches of cooking surface. My previous KitchenAid cooktop was 30", & 4 burners, with the knobs located in the middle area. I literally cannot get my large dutch oven and another saute pan on the cooktop at the same time! The stainless finish is easy to clean, and the grates are heavy, but I am super disappointed in the size and placement of the burners. I don't think I want to continue trying to make this "mistake" work for our family.

I used to love cooking until I got what was supposed to be my dream suite of appliances. This is the worst cooktop I have ever used, and is so frustrating I just do not want to cook any more. There is a medium on the dial, yet there is no difference in the flame height between high and medium. There are 2 temperatures on the burners low and slightly lower and that is it. I am a big fan of cast iron, but the burners do not get hot enough, so now I cannot even sear meat. You cannot even boil pasta water, it never reaches a hard boil. I had a kitchen-aid repair come and take a look at it because I was so disappointed and I was advised that everything was how it should be. This cooktop is useless and I really wish I could get my money back and buy a different brand that actually works.

I've only had the cooktop for a couple weeks and so far so good. It looks great and I'm impressed at how well KitchenAid was able to space the 5 burners with only 30" to work with. I replaced an electric cooktop and this is night and day. Pans heat up very evenly and temperature response is almost instant. No more burning rice to the bottom on a pan. The only issue I have so far is that when a pot is on top of the middle burner the gas makes an annoying buffeting sound. There are several adjustments that can be made on the burner but I haven't gotten to that yet. Other than that I couldn't have asked for a better cooktop.

The burner controls and location diagrams are nearly impossible to read! They are so light on the stainless around the knobs that it makes it very difficult to see. The front right burner is impossible to clean when something spills over and now the burner won't light - waiting on warranty service call. It is very slow to bring something to a boil and then difficult to lower to a simmer even on the lowest settings. I am very displeased with this cooktop. We love the new Kitchen Aid refrigerator and combo microwave wall oven.

I would have sent this back if it was not for my propane people being scheduled for my hook up. I love the cooktop, but the dial marking are soo lite you cannot read what is what for the dials. something is wrong or went wrong with the imprinting

So far I am pleased with my new gas cooktop. I have wanted gas for a very long time, but there has been a learning curve to using it with as much success as I had with my glass "electric" cooktop. My only real user complaint is that t does take much longer to boil water because the grates are very far away from the flame, but if you fill your pot with hot tap water this will help speed it up. Pros: I love that foods don't burn, stick to pans, or boil over like they did with electric, you have much more control over the cooking temperature and this stove offers lots of different flame size options, very nice looking, has sturdy grates and is easy to clean. Cons, it does heat up the kitchen, takes longer to boil water, the 30" is very limited on space so it's hard to fit larger pot and pans at the same time.

We bought this cooktop as part of our kitchen renovation this year. I regret that our 20yrs old Whirlpool that was still performing well was discarded and replaced with this one. It takes a minimum of 8 minutes for one cup of tea to be boiled. The iron grates are far high and i am guessing the heat is not reaching the base of the pot well. I have to use the middle burner to cook because the others seem to be useless. The knobs get really hot and i am afraid when kids are around. I thought the marks on the knobs are a joke because i can hardly read it. I really wish i get the iron grate’s replaced with the right height because the current height is not normal. Overall, i am so disappointed with the purchase. I definitely won’t recommend this burner to anyone.

Learning to cook on gas again. So far so good. BUT THE SIGHT OF THE KNOB LOCATIONS ON THE FRONT OF COOKTOP ARE "VERY, VERY HARD TO READ".
Hard to See Knob location03/21/2023 08:36 PM
I purchased the gas 5 burner stove top specifically because the description said it came with a griddle. Upon receiving the appliance, there was no griddle included, but instructions from Kitchen Aid to register my product and I would received information to receive the griddle. I registered as instructed, but no griddle. I contacted customer support and was told it takes some time to process the registration. A month later, and still nothing from Kitchen Aid about how to get the griddle. While I like the stove top, I am not using it as intended because it is missing a key component. Very unsatisfied with Kitchen Aid for how this has been handled.

I have used this cooktop for a year now. I like it for the most part, however, the burners are too close to the front. Meaning that when you center a pan over the burner it hangs over the edge and onto the dial. Actually, unless you put a larger pan over the center, all of the outside burners are too close to the edge of the grates. Also I have severe discoloration of the burner dials. My old cooktop's dials still had a shine after 14 years of use. I do like the degree of heat from the various burners. That is an amazing feature.

Bought in July installed in Early September 2022. Knobs get hot enough to burn your fingers if more than one pot is on for any length of time. Burner placement too close together, so use of center burner severely limits use of all 4 other burners. Better knob placement would be at center front with some insulation to prevent overheating. That way side grills would be longer and pots could fit better. Kitchenaid will not address the hot knobs issue. I have ordered silicone pot lid holders from Amazon to protect my fingers and my elderly mom from burns. Also, bezels under knobs only applied with tiny strip of adhesive and come off all the time., Kitchenaid will not send me replacements. I am trying to get help from Best Buy.

I purchased this cook top a couple of weeks ago and it met all of my expectations to the fullest. It looks so high end and even though I got a 30" it checks off all of what I use it for. The best safety feature for me are the knobs when they light up. A great reminder to turn the burner off. I had a tendency to forget to turn the knobs off when I had the burner on simmer.
