  • I purchased this range hood for a recent kitchen remodel. I liked that this model looked more modern than others from KitchenAid because the bottom part is flat and not domed. I got the recirculating kit because it would have been too expensive to vent up to the roof, but so far it's working much better than the fan that was under my old microwave that was over the range. The lights are bright white in front, and pressing the button a second time turns on a softer light in the back that seems like a night light. The highest fan setting is a little loud, but the lowest setting is quiet and works well enough for everything I've cooked so far.

  • I bought this for our kitchen remodel in July. In all honesty, I got it for the design aspect that I was going for and I am glad I did. My contractor said it was the best range hood he has ever installed. The quality is impeccable and the exhaust fan is powerful enough to suck up a small child…just kidding.

  • We have this hood in our new home (and its great) but there are two small dents on either side of the control panel. The builder says this is just how the product was manufactured when we say it must have been damaged during install. Can someone from KitchenAID confirm these dents are not by design and are likely a result from a careless installer? If these dents are intentional we'll have to change our high rating of this product.

  • We are happy overall how it looks. Disappointed that the additional pieces to cover the vent are individually placed and cause lines of separation. A bit loud, but worth it for great suction.

  • Used for one week, 2 service calls, one electrician and parts that are back ordered indefinitely on order! The hood sleeve scratches due to design when it has to be worked on, the customer service response to my request for a new sleeve was they would not take care of that after 30 day window expires. The parts are backordered because there is an issue, the unit scratched because it had to be serviced. This is a new appliance— beware!

  • The range hood works fine, nice and modern design but unfortunately after it was installed We noticed it was dented. The guys that delivered it didn’t take the old one they were supposed to. When I contacted KitchenAid I was told they are not coming back to take it away. And regarding the dented I have to call the warranty department. I’ve been trying to reach them with no luck. I also bought a range and dishwasher at the same time. Had to return the range because that model didn’t work. I bought the right one a week later. They processed the return almost a month ago but I’ve been charged for the two ranges. I called them again and I was told it takes two billing cycle to show on my credit card. Anyway I thought I was going to have a better service since I was directly from KitchenAid but as it turned out it was the worst service I’ve had. As per their product, they work fine but are nothing special.

  • Ordered this range on June 2020, received it on early September. Its a nice looking range with usefull functions and lights but....there has to be issue with motor mount or something or there is manufacturer desing problem. Since it was hanged its started giving loud clicking sounds which were not normal for range hood. I called customer support and under warranty motor was replaced .... with the same effect. I have to add that tubing is 6 inch diameter as recommended by manufacturer. I will be forced to return it somehow because this loud banging sound is unacceptable for this money.

  • Hood fan is great however we added a make up air system, however there's no way to hook up to the make up air installed by our heating contractor. Had to purchase Kitchen Aids for another $400.00. No information from Kitchen Aid. Poor information, for the price of this unit it should have been included. If I recommend this to any one I will warn them of the make up air problem. Kitchen Aids competition has contacts to connect air make up systems to.

  • Came with the new house and matches well with the Kitchen Aid gas range which is terrific.

  • The noise from the exhaust is very soft compared to other units and it’s touch screen gives it a clear and sleek look

  • We bought this range hood for our kitchen renovation this year! It looks so beautiful with our InvisaCook cooktop!

    Schneid210/28/2022 06:27 PM

  • Functions and looks great! Meets or exceeds all of my requirements.

    jetbldr03/11/2025 12:41 AM

  • Like the final product, but installation had lots of surprises. Have a louver at the exit of your vent? Need to remove the louver in the hood. When does the styrofoam need to be removed? Not clear in the instructions, but if you don't remove it before you hang you end up chiseling it out and it turns into popcorn all over the kitchen. Can you hang it up alone? Yes, with many, many attempts and lots of swearing. And lots of finger prints to clean up afterwards.

  • I had range hoods before but this one is the most powerful! Classy looking and easy to clean.

  • The quality and finish is superb. Quiet operation and the auto fan sensor is a great feature.

  • Bought in August 2018. Contractor installed a month later. Problem with task light not coming on. Called Customer Service. Very responsive. Technician came out a week later and fixed. Just a loose connection. Hood runs like a champ Very pleased.

  • Great addition to our new home. Love the auto feature to start venting when needed. Lighting for night lite or cooking is fabulous. Only negative is the noise volume when vent comes on. Pretty loud.

  • This hood replaced a traditional hood. Although there are many great features, it would nice if I could see what the buttons are before I touch them.

    LHK12302/06/2018 07:10 AM

  • We love the look of our range hood and the fan has a reasonable noise level, a huge improvement over our last one for sure! My only complaint is that the buttons are not lit, so if the kitchen is dim (ie: first thing in the morning) and you want the range light on, it is very hard to figure out where to push. One other bit of feedback is that the buttons seem to require several touches before they activate. Could be my fingers but it’s consistent regardless of my body temp (not just of hands are cold)…it is a lovely unit overall!

  • We purchased this product because we have a KitchenAid lineup. However, this is one of KitchenAid weakest products. Yes the fan blower works well, lights are nice, but the things people don’t think about, but should is where it falls short. If there is a light breeze outside, you can hear the exterior flap flapping about creating a loud tapping noise. It is just metal on metal. Knowing this, we went out to put foam around the edges to create a seal, but still have it flush. Issue here is the flap is round… to its not possible to seal it without leaving gaps. This is problem 1. Second issue is the touch. It doesn’t work well. It is inconsistent. Sometimes you tap lightly it turns on, other times you have to tap and hold. And sometimes neither work. I would have assumed it would like any other KitchenAid touch (microwave, oven, refrigerator smart drawer… but it doesn’t. Conclusion: does it work? Yes. I wish it was a higher quality build.

  • I purchased this and all other appliances from Kitchenaid for my new home construction. We have lived here for 4 months and the auto light won’t stop blinking. There is no guidance on why this does this? Doesn’t seem right...

    Norton633702/07/2021 08:20 PM

  • Needed a recirculating hood and this was perfect. It is louder since the exhaust comes back into the room but no more than the microwave we used to depend on. I love the auto fan feature.

    Tabbycat03/23/2018 01:22 AM

  • I bought this hood before my kitchen remodel was started. I replaced the "fake exhaust hood" that I had for 12 years. All it did was suck in and blow back into the room through a wimpy metal mesh filter. This hood vents outside (yes through the roof as I demanded from my contractor) Actually clears the kitchen of odors. Haven't tried to clear smoke yet... Haven't burned anything on my new Stove.

    QuiltsRock1905/02/2019 03:37 AM

  • Beautiful and looks awesome! The only reason why I do not give a 5 star, the black stainless steel, scratches way to easy, be careful and wear gloves when installing.
