• The hood itself works well. HOWEVER - removing and replacing the baffle filters is nearly impossible. The instructions don't help, and good luck finding a video to guide you. It's not at all clear from the diagrams exactly how the filters are supposed to sit in the hood, as you seemingly need to defy the laws of physics to fit the filter into the tracks. Please help, Kitchenaid!

• I've had this hood for 2 years and it works ok. Builds up grease fairly easily, which isn't a problem because it's easy enough to clean. The issue is to put the filters back on. I dread this every time. It is cumbersome, I can never do it right. My husband sometimes gets it on with brute force. We've looked a the instructions many times but can't figure out an easy way to make put it back in. Once it's in, it fits like a glove. Wish this part was easier.

• This vent hood is powerful and works wonderfully with my 36” KitchenAid commercial range. The lights are nice and bright. The speed settings are easy to use with a button push for each speed. My last hood required you to cycle through each speed. This has 10” ductwork as well where my last only had 8”. I haven’t used the infrared food warmer, yet.

• My hood came without a motor! No where on the website did it instruct me to order a separate motor. The hood was expensive and professional, but the motor was an additonal $900. The upper extension is not the prettiest as it has a scratch line where the extension adjusts for varying ceiling height. I bought a pot filler and had to return it because it would not fit under the hood in the space allotted. I wish the site would have indicated what to do for regular ceiling heights.

• Paired this baby up with the 36" Kitchenaid Freestanding Commercial Range, in blue. What a dynamic duo!!! Very pleased with our choice. • Lights flicker. Kitchenaid says this is normal? Looks nice and is fairly quiet. It's brand new - just installed a couple of weeks ago. The lights flicker, so we had a service company look at it. They called Kitchenaid customer service and were told that this is normal. Lights on a brand new appliance should not flicker - ever. Telling us this is normal is like saying that it's defective on purpose. For this price, it's really not acceptable to have a defect built it. There are plenty of other hoods out there that work properly.

• I despise when the hood fan cuts in automatically. It really loud. I have you shout for anyone in the room to hear me. And you cannot shut it off until it’s full 5 min cycle is complete. So annoying. Don’t buy this. I’m searching for an override for this annoying feature but no luck.

• The appliance aesthetically looks very nice. But it does not operate that nice or may be my new product has an issue. Sometimes we turn the appliance on the lowest settings it automatically takes the highest. When we try to turn it off no button works till good 15 minutes. The lights on the lowest settings keep flickering.

• Stopped working after just over a year and is out of warranty. Don't waste your money. Take it from me and steer clear of any KitchenAid appliance, we have had a horrible experience.
