• I love this range hood. It makes a bold statement in a modern kitchen, and more importantly, functions very well.Pros:Beautiful designBright LED lighting for cookingAutomatic light sensing night-light (the glass glows!)Very quiet fanCons:This vent was not easy to install. Do not attempt unless you know what you are doing and have a team of at least 3 people. The installation instructions are mediocre at best. There were parts that I still have no idea what they are to be used for. Thankfully, none of them seem to compromise the structural integrity.

• Very pleased w/our Whirlpool kitchen hood. It looks great and wasn't too difficult for my husband to install. The extractor does what it's supposed to. Personally, food smells don't bother me too much, but that drives my hubby crazy. He's very pleased with this product!

• This beautiful 36 in range hood has transformed the entire kitchen. Originally I thought the night light feature was a gimmick, but actually in comes in quite useful and provides kind of a spaceship feel at night. The blower is very quiet and barely audible except at the highest setting.

• This replaced a 36 year old vent that was built in with wood to match the old cabinets. This is so much prettier and less bulky. The light actually lights up the cook top and the fan clears the air quickly when needed. We really enjoy the "night light" feature that comes on automatically when it gets dark. The tiny LED that shines of the edge of the glass is not only very cool looking, but a perfect night for the evening. I am so glad I opted for this option, instead of having to turn the big lights on and off constantly.

• I have had the unit for 6 months. We like it. The only issue is I have an 8 1/2 ' ceiling height. I am 6'1" and I keep bumping my head on the unit. Is there a way to shorten the height of the unit a couple of inches?

• This range hood is very quiet except at its highest settings. Would be nice if the fan settings was a variable knob verses push button levels. At first I thought the night light feature was a gimmick, but it actually has become very handy since the range hood is close to an external entryway, so it helps with finding keys at night. The glow is not too bright to be annoying from other rooms and is very stylish.

• Bought this hood a few months ago and we really like it a lot. It's not too loud, but does a good job. Love the feature that allows it to turn on when the kitchen lights are turned off, then it goes off when you flip the room lights on. We use that at night and in the early morning quite often.

• We bought this range hood and it looks great, but hard to keep the glass clean. Otherwise, it works okay.

• Just had this installed today. It is too low for my island/8 foot ceilings and I'm sure I will be hitting my face when I try to cook. I was told there is no reducer kit. I love the night light feature and it would be beautiful but the glass just cannot be cleaned. Smudges even when trying to wipe with clear water. I am so sad and disappointed that I spent close to $1,000 and am stuck with this. I can't speak for performance but high is loud. Don't have my cooktop in yet.

• I remodeled my kitchen and this hood could be the star of the show. It arrived with a non functioning motor and after two months the replacement motor has not shipped. Love the light and would love to know how the exhaust works. A VERY pricey appliance, especially with installation. My kitchen designer can't get this resolved either. I expected better from Whirlpool.

• We had it for about 6 months, and I agree with Marcia, the bulb was out in less than 2 months and haven't had the chance to order it since it is not available any place, and also the buttons on the fan are all loose, I press one button to turn the fan on or off, and another one will pop right out. So basically it was a waste of money, no use to it in my kitchen. Very disappointing
