Dishwasher-Safe Cast Aluminum Griddle for Gas Ranges and Cooktops

• I have had my cooktop stove for four years now. Replaced the original griddle after two years. And now I am ready to replace the second griddle again. These do not hold up and the black coating wears off, fades, and flakes. Even when being mindful on only using medium heat and a scratch free sponge, they still do not hold up. I wish there was a cast-iron or carbon steel option. This cast aluminum with coating is a very cheap and ineffective product.

• Product came scratched. Trying to return or replace and it tells me not eligible for returns despite the listing saying it has a 30-day return policy.

• Do not buy this. In just 2 uses like the other reviewer, the coating starts peeling off. Getting any kind of warranty or support from Whirlpool is just impossible, service will transfer you to another group, and they in turn will transfer you back to service and this is an endless loop. I am a big Whirlpool appliance buyer and first time need to talk wtih someone in warranty and they just don't know how to handle. Plus a very bad product.

• After only two uses and cleaning with a soft sponge ONLY, the non stick coating is coming off.
