• I recently purchased 5 whirlpool products…. Microwave, Range,Refrigerator, Washer and Dryer. I have not had time to assess the kitchen appliances because of all the installation issues. The microwave installer made a horrible mess of my cabinet. I’ve been without a way to cook for 10 days and it will 2 more days until someone comes out AGAIN to try to fix the range. The refrigerator rolls all over every time I open the door and the door flops over and hits the cabinet if I don’t hold on to it. So far the washer and dryer are good…. I was so looking forward to new appliances and it has turned into an ongoing nightmare.

• Looks fantastic with my pot filler. I bought the white microwave because it goes well with design of the kitchen.The problem is that plastic around the glass on the door is very weak and it has started to crack and this microwave is only 1yr and 5 months old. Of course I bought the extended warranty and the disappointment gets worse: the technician came and said the door needs to be replaced but that part (the door) HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED. The microwave is only 17 months old and parts have been discontinued??? Don't buy this product or do not buy the extended warranty. I wish Whirlpool would contact me and replace the microwave if the door was discontinued.

• I liked the look and size of this microwave. It would have fit in my space, but the hole needed on the install bracket on the top of the microwave would have drilled into the front face of my microwave. Very different installation holes than my previous microwave. Very narrow range of acceptability for depth of cabinets above the microwave to allow install. I had to return because I didn't want to spend more to modify cabinets than I spent on the microwave. I ended up buying a Samsung of similar size and it installed just fine. Checking dimensions is not enough, make sure you check installation guide before buying to ensure it can be installed.

• We bought this microwave about 1.5 year ago and it was awesome but we recently discovered that it’s coming apart at the seems on the inside. Really disappointed because I really liked it. Now I’m on the hunt for a whole new microwave because of safety concerns.

• I agree with another review that writes : Poor design in 1) it's hard to clean without setting off touch buttons (including fan and light). Every time! 2) there's no lock-out for fan/light buttons, for cleaning exterior. 3) the turntable design was us terrible, it's an exercise in frustration when they separate! The rollers will not stay in place. Also, when opening the door it hits you right in the face (see picture below of scratches from edge of metal door). I had seen other reviews with this problem. We have to remember to stand back or hold door with hand, when opening. Also, the new options of cooking are confusing and needs more button pushing then past microwaves and it is hard to remember( instructions posted on inside of door). I only use the add 30 sec button to sellect my times. I hope it does not wear out! But I really like the sleek look and narrower design. It has been an adjustment to get use too. I would not buy again without up-dates. Looks good but not user friendly.

• I bought this microwave for my remodeled kitchen just before the pandemic. The machine adequately reheats food and I like the small height; leaves enough workspace between it and the stovetop. When in use, it sounds awful. It is mounted correctly under the new upper cabinet and I cannot determine how to get it to stop making the vibrating noise. I pressed on the sides of the microwave, on top of the microwave, inside the cabinet, on the vent area, etc. and nothing changes the annoying noise. The light on top of it seems to get very hot with minimal reheating use. I would be hesitant to cook anything in it for over a 5-6 minute time period.

• I bought this microwave in July when we remodeled our kitchen. It heats really well, however, it is not smudge proof, in fact it shows exactly where you touch the keypad and door. I wiped with a soft dish cloth. After drying, I noticed the small scratches and swirls where I wiped. So disappointed the kitchen looks great, except for the swirls on the microwave. Maybe there should be a disclosure on wipingthe outside of the microwave.

Terrible, it's an exercise in frustration when they separate, which is almost every time using. Almost spilling hot liquids is an ER visit waiting to happen. Whirlpool needs to RECALL the turntable and replace with single, steady piece!! Do so and it'd be 5 stars with buy recommendation.

• I have an older house with a small kitchen. A traditional sized over the stove microwave wouldn't work. This one is perfect! It looks beautiful, works amazing, and the size is perfect! 5 stars!

• I purchase this model microwave 5 months ago. After installation it was very noisy. Called service and have been waiting for parts, no parts! Called to try and get the unit replaced. I was told by a “specialist “ that I would be contacted within 3-5 day, nope! Called two weeks later, waited over an hour two times to speak with someone. Now waiting on the service people to call back! Don’t buy this product, faulty from the beginning, the service has been terrible!! I expect better from an American company.

• Have had this hood size microwave for 2 wks. It does everything that our larger one did. Did not know you made this size. We needed one to fit over our Whirlpool double oven, glass range. This is perfect!

• Very nice microwave, but pricey at over $600. I needs an over the range microwave, which are usually around $400,and seem to last only four years. But we’ve moved and now need a slim microwave. So the choices are limited. I’m very happy with looks and functionality.

• After few months door plastic around started having little Cracks now it looks like this . For so much money I expected something better that would last longer .

• This microwave was given as a Christmas gift for a new kitchen, it’s a good looking unit but it produces a very loud noice which is not just the fan, it’s something else, if that’s normal I would not recommend this unit to anyone, I tried to contact customer service but it was useless as somebody already stated the fact that no one answers the numbers provided in the manual or else … I know, contact us on fb, Twitter, etc. except by phone (answers I read from other customers trying to reach out for help). I’ll return the unit and stay clear from this company.

• I bought this to replace my exhaust fan and it looks pretty . Compact and nice . Easy to install as all the instructions were very clear.

• Have owned the unit for 2 days. The actual microwave seems to work well. The back wall bracket also is a pilot hole template. Be aware that the template is not reversible. Line up the template with the top of the oven to make sure your holes will line up. Now for the real annoying part….the glass carousel runs on a 3 wheel trolly. It wanders all over the oven. Super annoying. I have owned 3 such ovens in my life and all thr others have a 4 wheel trolly. Did Whirlpool cut corners to save 8 cents? My guess is this was overlooked. If I was aware of this I may have checked out the competition.

• The LED light for the cook top is useless. On Hi, it does not provide enough light to see inside your pans or pots. That is the purpose of the light. If Lowe's or Home depot would have had this model with power to it, I never would have bought it after seeing the poor lighting. I had to buy a magnetic light to put under the microwave to see the cook top. So, I spent $400,only to have to spend $20 for a light the same day it was installed. Customer Service says the amount of light cannot be increased because this model has a plastic board with diodes and you cannot get anything brighter. I have to heat things the same time as my 700 watt microwave which I should not have to since this is a 1000 watt microwave. Save your money and get a microwave with enough light to see you cook top.

• Bought this through HD Supply in Lakeland Fl, saved monies big time. Since we are all at the mercy of import manufacturing I'll refrain from the mechanics/longevity and comment on the initial looks and functions. Looks great, performs well and best of all it fit in our 80's style kitchen. Fingers are crossed on dependability/longevity as Whirlpool is a 50/50 gamble in quality,(who isn't producing junk, right?).

• Bought Dec 2019, ACU and Door switches are bad, still runs when door is open. Out of warranty by 10 months and will cost almost as much as a new one to get fixed. Don’t buy. Dangerous, shocked service man through volt meter leads. Whirlpool won’t help.

• We had been using a small microwave on our countertop until we saw the Low Profile unit from Whirlpool! We were so excited to see this was available! We immediately purchased because the dimensions fit perfectly under the cabinets in our kitchen! Our favorite features include the ease of operation with the buttons on the outside, and we can use the timer and microwave at the same time! The design is modern and gives our kitchen a nice updated look! The price was reasonable and we like the made in USA sticker! Will definitely be a Whirlpool customer for life!

• I have had this microwave for 2 months now. It fits perfectly where the vent hood used to fit. The vent works great, the light is excellent with two settings. This microwave is easy to use, and while some just barely clear, everything I have wanted to put in the microwave has fit in. I have put quart jars in there, mugs, dinner plates, everything has fit.
