Cycle Memory quickly starts your dishwasher with one button. It automatically remembers the last cycle you picked so it’s stored and ready to go.
Hybrid Tub with Dark Gray Interior
A Hybrid Tub with Dark Gray Interior helps mask food stains with a stainless steel interior door and dark gray plastic tub.
Cycle Interrupt Light Signal
A blinking Cycle Interrupt Light Signal on the front of the unit will tell you when the cycle has been interrupted so you don't forget to restart the cycle.

Purchased NIB at Gerrits in Wyoming, Michigan for $469. Self-installed - direct wiring, high drain loop, leveled 1/4in higher in the front The unit took a few cycles to fully seal the gasket, likely due to cold weather storage (some spillage out the front until it sealed). Looks very nice, decently quiet. No problems but less than 1 month of use so far. I bought Gerrit's 5 yr extended CPS wty on it as well, for basically the price of 1 service call, a pretty decent option.

I like it, other than getting used to the buttons being hidden on the top inside of the door. I’m not sure it dries as well as my old one and it’s top rack is not spaced the same and is hard to get larger items down in there without bending the upright pieces.
Dfparis06/24/2025 12:22 AM
Runs quietly and does a great job cleaning. Buttons are easy to use and plainly marked. Inside is spacious lots of room for bigger items. Top rack has flaps that fold down to hold big utensils and such.

Works well. Worth the money spent. Had it installed and the contractors were “excellent!” I recommend this model for the consumer that uses it a moderate amount of time.

I bought this 3 weeks ago, so far works great. Love it.

I bought this in late February and ran the first load of dishes, which were already fairly clean, through it 3 separate times and they still weren't completely clean. Very unsatisfactory.
Daren05/29/2024 11:27 AM
WORKS WELL, BUT IT STARTED RUSTING AFTER A FEW MONTHS. IT IS NOW GETTING MUCH WORSE AND THE FINGERPRINT FILM IS PEELING OFF. NO CHILDREN OR PETS IN THE HOME. JUST 2 OLDER ADULTS WHO TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING THEY HAVE.

I would never, ever recommend a dishwasher from this company. Mine was smoking and the entire control board was fried. I was offered a discount on a new dishwasher and told to be on my way. When I inquired what would have happened if we had been asleep when this happened, I was told that they could only assist me on facts, not what ifs. The FACTS were that my 5 year old smelled and saw smoke and we got out of the house in time and shut the dishwasher off before a fire started. Won't replace and didn't care in the least. Google it - there's tons of claims for this online and even a class action lawsuit against KitchenAid.

The design is beautiful and elegant. The noise is minimal can’t tell it’s on. Cleans my dishes really good. It’s heavy duty. And energy efficient. Love it

We bought a new Dishwasher Model WDP540HAMZ4 on November 30 last year through Lowes. It is a stainless steel front, "fingerprint resistant". The dishwasher started rusting on several edges on the front after 10 months. Learned that this is not covered under 1 year warranty - very disappointed.

Doesn’t dry out completely have video but this link is about as effective as your customer service which is incredible ineffective.

We bought the Whirlpool to replace an old GEC. This dishwasher is truly a workhorse. Due to the large amount of dishes we have it runs at capacity everyday, and does so quietly, efficiently and thoroughly. The dishwasher offers several washing and drying cycles according to the load. Our previous dishwasher had issues draining after the load was done, the Whirlpool has none of the pooling of water in the bottom basin. The two spin arms ensure a clean, odourless, squeaky finish to glasses and plates. We follow the manufacturers instructions on cleaning, placing dishes, and what type of dishwashing pods to use. We would suggest purchasing the rinse aid as well as the dishwasher cleaner to ensure a well maintained, hygienic clean everytime. The top rack is deep comfortably fitting side plates and dessert bowls. The bottom rack has twines that allow for more than a twelve plate dinner set and larger serving dishes. The cutlery tray has trap lids for smaller articles that could be pushed out of the tray with a burst of water, no more fishing for small lids in the basin of the washer. We love the brushed stainless steel finish and the handy recessed handle. The door shuts and seals tight allowing for no leaks. The cycles can be chosen before you start the dishwasher in the event your counter top prohibits your fingers from pushing buttons. All round this is a 5 star washer and has proved to be economical on both our water and electricity bills. We would definitely recommend this Whirlpool dishwasher without hesitation.

I love this dishwasher! It's quite and easy to use. I recommend getting installed by the company if you can, but we got it. The dishwasher is beautiful and looks great! Highly recommend! My hubby and dad installed and was a little hard getting it hooked in properly, but they got it. It's easy to clean on the outside and cleans the dishes great. The cycle is normal and effective and is energy efficient to me!

I bought this two weeks ago from Costco, it was on sale and needed an expedited purchase. I didn’t look at the reviews prior to ordering. It is quiet and it does wash the dishes well. However, even with the extended heat setting the dishes and the dishwasher, stay very wet. I know the heat setting works because I can see the steam and feel the heat but there is a ton of water left after every wash. If it doesn’t get wiped down, then it gets a mildew smell. The point of having a dishwasher is for convenience, but if I have to dry the dishes before putting them away and also wipe down the inside of the machine then it becomes Inconvenient.

Works great, cleans the dishes with excellence! It does take a while when you use the heavy duty setting like four hours, but it is definitely worth it. We do have most of the food/crumbs off the plates before we put them in. Also we have only had this for about a month and we do use it often. I think it has however taken our water bill up some,

Received my dishwasher today and it looks different than the picture. The top drying rack is missing the prop up shelf’s and the inside is plastic! I just dispensed my old whirlpool that we have had for quite some time and this is super low quality to how the used to make them
Morey10/06/2025 08:50 AM
I replaced a higher end Whirlpool with this one. Not as fancy or quiet as the model with the steel tub but it gets the job done.

My daughter like the ease of this appliance over the Maytag we had. I have not used it but it looks very user friendly.

I’ve been using the Whirlpool Quiet Dishwasher with Boost Cycle and Pocket Handle for several months now, and it has exceeded my expectations. The cleaning performance is excellent, even on tough, dried-on food. The Boost Cycle is perfect for when you need extra power. I love how quiet this dishwasher is—you can barely tell it’s running. The sleek pocket handle design looks great in my kitchen and the fingerprint-resistant finish keeps it looking clean. Installation was straightforward, and the energy efficiency has been a plus on my utility bills. Overall, it’s a durable and stylish appliance that makes daily clean-up effortless.

I recently just moved into a new home and this dishwasher came brand new in the house, never used prior. Still had manual inside and wrapped. I looks nice, cleans well but does not dry ANYTHING! I have tried all drying settings. I even tried the method where you open the door a crack once its finished cleaning and hang a towel off the door inside the unit (this method worked at all my apartments for many years because they only dried the dishes about 85%, the towel would do the other 15%). Even THIS method did NOTHING. And when i say it dries nothing, I mean it literally looks like I just sprayed the dishes after hours/days of drying. The pics I am adding are from when I did dishes 3 DAYS AGO. 3 days ago and its still THIS wet. I have lived in many places with many cheaper dishwashers, and this is by far the worst one I have ever used.

I bought this dishwasher a month and a half ago. I can say I love it! One issue for me. The bottom rack you pull out to load keeps rolling backwards into the dishwasher despite having the bottom rack in the grooves for the wheels on the bottom of the rack. The dishwasher door won’t go all the way down enough to not have the bottom rack roll backwards! You get pretty good at weighing the bottom rack down enough to prevent the backwards roll!! But it cleans fantastic!! Simple and relatively quick.
Rhonda10/25/2024 11:46 AM
Way smaller inside racks than what we had previously and have to run more often as it gets full of dishes quickly. Some how the layout of the racks on bottom only hold 2 rows of plates (10” & 8.5”) and no way to run the 6.75” smallest plates down the middle as we did before. Up top ? Try Left to Right to load a coffee mug, drinking glass, salad bowl, drinking glass, coffee mug. Gotta leave one of them out. Just too small all around Didn’t know how fortunate we had it

I haven't used this much yet, but I was pleased with the amount of drying the dishes came out with and the quieter operation as opposed to my old dishwasher. I am frustrated with the rinse aid dispenser--the instruction sheet info and graphics do not apply to this model. It is hard to tell where to put the liquid, and I end up getting more of it outside the dispenser than in it. I had to find a couple of YouTube videos to help me figure it out, since I did not see a way to talk to someone at Whirlpool.com for product support. I don't like this design and wonder why it was changed/different from the one in most of the videos that is easier to see and use. –5 for that part!!

Even on the highest heat setting, the tops of glasses and bowls are invariably wet with puddles of soapy water. Also, the dishwasher is more noisy than most other brands. And there is no indicator to show where it is in the cycle. You just have to guess. Then there is the warranty issue. Whirlpool only allows warranty work through its selected contractors. I live in a large metropolitan area. Whirlpool has only ONE contractor for a huge populated area, so they don't schedule repairs any time soon. But at least Whirlpool's custormer service people are always very sorry for the inconvenience.
