• This WCE55US4HB doesn't appear to be offered as a WCE55US4HC, the last Letter indicating sheek Die Cast CHROME Knobs. The 30" version HAS these Chrome Knobs and is priced hundreds $$$ Less! Imagine my horror moving into a new executive small space apt with all Whirlpool appliances and immediately being turned-off with this cooktop. OK, model Number indicates BLACK but PLASTIC? Sorry. Dishwasher safe knobs is not a value feature for me. I see puchasing non plastic chrome knobs for the 30" model WCE55US0HC will be over $250. Better use that amount towards a nice Induction Cooktop. Builder did not use scrutiny when selecting this model.

• The elements heat up very fast. It is very easy to clean. I am happy to support an American company.

• The cooktop under review has just been recently installed. Just two dinners and several cups of tea have been the output to date. I have hopes that the cooktop performs better than the Whirlpool Customer Service Department. Having placed the order for the 24 inch cooktop on-line, and receiving notifications that the unit was not only backordered, but a re-stock date could only be described as infinity. With renovations scheduled, new kitchen cabinets due for delivery, numerous calls to Customer Service were made to inquire on the ordered unit. Each of the phone calls ended the same. Which would be holding for the next available customer service representative for well over a half hour, and being told how important my call was innumerable times, but none ever answered the calls.The only thing this cooktop was capable of producing was frustration. Yes, I have high hopes for this cooktop, but then, the Whirlpool Customer Service set the bar so low. .

• this is the 3rd one we've purchase for ourselves ( one in Michigan and one in Colorado) and 1 rental remodel. we couple this with a convection/microwave and do not install an oven. would only buy unit with knobs on the side and NOT touch type.

• In adding new granite to my kitchen island, I was forced to downsize my cooktop to 24” from 30”. I can still use the same amount/size of pans as before and am very happy overall with the evenness of the heat and size of burners. Cooktops are not always easy to clean, but this one is no more difficult than my other Dacor. I would recommend it.

• I'm quite content with the cooktop. It heats up quick and is easy to control the temperature of the burner. Easy to clean and always looks shiny. I wish it would cool off faster after use though. However it is perfect for any size pot and all 4 burners can be used at once which is sufficient.

• This is a nice looking cooktop. It was an easy install. Its a bit small for a chef cooking for a large family. It fits our kitchen well and has performed nicely. I am completely satisfied with the cooktop so far.

• I’ve had this cooktop about a month. It’s hard to keep from appearing smeared. I also see small scratches appearing. I’ve taken good care of it. It will be more work Than the gas cooktop

• the wiring conduit was not installed properly, was lose from factory, fixed it, and it works good, not permanently installed yet.
