• I purchased this refrigerator online and received 2/23/22. At first, it seemed great. About 3 weeks later, the beverages in the bottom started to freeze. Then, the freezer stopped freezing. In the end, the refrigerator stopped working completely. Over $200 of food was spoiled. A tech was sent out 10 days after initial complaint. The tech came on a Friday, and by the time he was done, whirlpool offices were closed. I had to wait until Monday to speak to an agent on how to move forward at this point. On Monday, when I call the agent on the phone says the tech said I needed a new compressor despite him having told ME it was irreparable. A week later I called to check in about the alleged compressor I was supposed to receive. At this point I have several weeks without a refrigerator and having to purchase food from the streets. I have chronic gastritis and cannot afford to eat out daily nor can I run the risk of eating spoiled food. My stomach condition has worsened since I can’t make use of the refrigerator I purchased with my hard earned money. The agents at whirlpool have been giving me a run around every single day. when I expressed my health concerns the only thing I was told was that the compressor would be expedited. I still have not received the compressor nor has anyone reached out to me from whirlpool. DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR!!! It is a complete waste of money. Whirlpool agents don’t help. And their products are faulty. Never buying whirlpool again!!!

• Horribly unreliable. It's less than 2 years old and already failing. Coolness setting on recommended. Main refrigerator compartment remains warm, while freezer deep freezes everything to sold bricks. Just such a waste of money. Plus, the shelving inside is pure insanity. With all shelves installed, there's no logic and no room for anything larger than a condiment bottle. The multiple, skinny drawers are impossible to grab. This is just such bad design. Clearly, the team that put their mark on this boat anchor were unqualified and didn't care about quality. Whirlpool failed miserably in allowing this to be manufactured.

• The fridge looks good and is surprisingly lightweight. The delivery people (R.A.S. Logistics, delivering for GE Appliances, supplying for for HomeDepot) delivered the fridge, pushed it to the wall, showed my wife it was free of damage, she signed and they left. When I came home I pulled it from the wall as I needed to reverse the doors. This is when I noticed that the coils on the back are bent and the water tank on top of the compressor was seriously cracked. I think this is from the belts the deliver folks used. So make sure you look on the back of the fridge too before signing! Otherwise the door reversal procedure took about 45 mins, reading instructions and all, not too bad but ideally the bottom hinge should be reengineered so that the door reversing does not require laying the fridge on one side to access the bottom hinge. Question to Whirlpool folks - I could not find the water tank part number online so I can replace it myself. Can I get the part number, please?

• Where do I begin? the fridge was shipped with feet stored inside the fridge with zero indication that there were 2 threaded daggers/bolts sticking out the bottom ready to cut into anything they touch. The fridge was set down and delivery people left. Once the fridge was moved into position it began cutting into my new floor. Maytag/whirlpool has washed their hands of their responsibility on this saying it was carrier's problem. I've been ordering appliances for decades and this is the first time I saw a fridge delivered with the feet stored inside the fridge with uncovered daggers sticking out the bottom. You can't expect delivery people to know that. Once i realized the threaded daggers were there and the feet stored inside, i couldn't get the feet to thread on as the threaded bolts were damaged and bent. A nightmare trying to get this resolved.. As well when you close the fridge door the freezer door pops open and stays open. Also, intermittently makes a strange noise I can only compare to a human high pitched fart.

• I bought this for my rental cottage, which we only visit every other month. 5 months after delivery the refrigerator starting filling with water from the freezer. Certified repairman came out and "fixed" the problem. A month later water was still pouring in to the refrigerator. The same repairman was assigned, but this time he says that I need a "sealed system technician", and he is not one. Whirlpool has called me multiple times over the last week trying to assign refrigerator techs who are not certified to fix the problem. Each time they say they are going to have someone call me who can offer a resolution.

• I bought this a month ago and regret it. First off it took 11 days for delivery. It appeared to be perfect upon arrival and installed. It worked great for 9 days and the compressor went out. Took another 2 weeks to get a repair man to come tell us that he had to order the parts to repair it and that because he is working on another one identical to mine that he believes the parts will be on back order. So I am very unhappy with this purchase. 9 days of use out of a month and no repair in sight has me truly discussed with this product. I remember the day that whirlpool was a quality product and you could rely on it. Apparently this is no longer the case.

• We purchased this top freezer refrigerator on March 8, 2022. The model number is WRT313CZLZ00, the serial number is VSA48 38854. Since we received this product, every a few days we found the water was dropped down the bottom of fridge, we have to remove the water by handy every a few days. Last week, we werer away for about 5-6 days, after we came back, we found both top freezer and lower fridge stopped working, it was terrible, strong bad rotten smell, all foods (worth about $700) inside the refrigerator have to drop inton trash. We respect the brand Whirlpool, but it seemed today's Whirlpool no longer worth its bradn used to be.

• Make yourself a favor and choose a different brand. This is the second fridge that we have and is leaking again. In less than a year stops working, so they gave us the same one. The new one is leaking also.

• Took possession of my 24” WRB533CZJZ00 in March 22. The freezer stopped working in October 2022. Called Whirlpool who arranged Platinum Appliance to repair. Initial visit was done November 15 and parts were ordered. (Whirlpool recognized the delay and sent $150 compensation in December). Due to back ordered parts, weather and holidays repair wasn’t completed until January 9, 2023. Fridge again failed a few weeks later. We are again starting the repair process again on February 21, 2023 to have another repair estimate done. Result, we have not had a working fridge since last fall, 2022. We are powerless and have no voice as all warranty work must be done through the manufacturer and a very poor appliance repair service company, Platinum Appliance in Victoria. Please help.

• This refrigerator is the perfect size for what we needed. I wish it had less drawers and wider shelf spacing. Most of the shelves aren’t big enough to hold anything The actual usage of the item works as needed just not practical.

• Like for a lot of other people, I started having problems with this fridge shortly after the one year warranty ran out. It began to leak water into the fridge and I was told by an appliance repairman that it happened due to the defrost drain being clogged and if it happened again to turn the fridge off and let it completely defrost. It began to happen with increasing frequency until now, two and a half years into owning it, where I am forced to defrost it every month and lose food in the process. Complete garbage appliance that appears to have no fix due to its faulty design. Don’t bother wasting your money.

• Bought this in April and installed in August. The freezer basically does not work. Barely gets to 30degrees. Refrigerator gets to low 40's maybe. Some days wake up and it's at 55. Called Whirlpool they sent someone who reported no faults found so it "works". Clearly doesn't. They refuse to do anything now. I have filed a complaint with the Maine attorney generals office as a result. Don't buy this product. It's cheap because it does not work. End of story. If you complain about it they simply block you and ignore your calls. Never buying whirlpool again as a result.

• I bought a small refri/freezer for my mobile home. It was working great for the first few weeks then died. Needed to wait a week for technician to confirm blown compressor. Now have to wait Again until part is in, then hm, how long for another appt to install. With all this waiting I’ve also had to toss lots of food ( and we all know the cost of food these days) and presently living out of a cooler which requires buying ice every other day. So it’s not going to be a favorable review.

• Under no circumstances should you buy this product!!!! I bought this for my house 3 years ago. 2 years in, it started massively leaking water from the freezer into the fridge. I called a repair service and they immediately knew and fixed the problem…for 3 months. Then I called Whirlpool. Without even hearing the problem they offered me two options: both options cost AS MUCH AS THE REFRIGERATOR ITSELF. This is one of the worst investments I’ve ever made, and shame on Home Depot for carrying this.

• I purchased this fridge a little over a year ago, it has given me problems since day one. The freezer control knob broke on the first day. Since then about every two month I would have to completely de-ice the condenser coils in the freezer, what a pain! Lost two fridges loads of food while owning this fridge. If that wasn’t bad enough the fridge has now started to make a humming noise at the back and will not cycle on anymore. I would not recommend this fridge to anyone! Stay away!

• I made the mistake of scheduling delivery of the product before power was on and a few days later when the power was turned on and the fridge plugged in I noticed it was not cooling. Unfortunately since more than 48 hours had gone by I was told by the big box store to deal through the headache of the manufacturers’s warranty to get it looked at and eventually replaced all of which took a little longer than 2 months—during this time I was without a fridge and no way to store food. Please keep this in mind what I had to go through when purchasing any appliance.

• This was a replacement fridge for the one I purchased a few months earlier. The replacement refrigerator was worse than the one I am currently dealing with. The delivery crew took pictures of the bad seals because they noticed the problem right away. Some parts were delivered Monday and I am waiting on someone from your end to install the new doors. ( I am not going to remove the old fridge doors and install the new ones, especially with all the problems this make and model has had) PLEASE have this repair scheduled for next week. This has been a really bad experience (see history your attempts)

• My new Whirlpool 24" wide, 12.9 cu. ft. refrigerator/freezer is just what I was expecting. It occupies the same space that my previous "garage fridge" did, but due to its greater height, holds much more in both the fridge and the freezer sections. On July 14th, the delivery people removed the packing material and set it in the space we had reserved and all we had to do was plug it in. It works very well and is great for overflow food, ice and beverages. It will easily accommodate large platters, a large watermelon and a layer cake in its container. It looks good too! Great product at a reasonable price. We are very pleased.

• this unreliable refrigerator was purchased for our camp in the georgia woods - upon returning for our latest visit we found the refrigerator to be filed with rotting food and zillions of small insects - plus a reeking odor that seeped from the refrigerator into our cabin - upon calling whirlpool for help (over the memorial day weekend) i endured listening to the recorded greeting and learned that some of whirlpool refrigerators require manual restating after a power loss - fanfriggintastic - i have a refrigerator that is 300 miles from my home that requires manual restating after a power outage - ridiculous engineering - PLUS i have not succeeded in speaking with a whirlpool representative because of the lengthy hold time - i did research and found an approved whirlpool service provider that is willing to assist with repair - however scheduling is tricky because the camp is a camp not our residence- i regret this purchase -

• I never write reviews but this made me so upset that this stopped working right after the warranty expired! The freezer is leaking into the fridge and damaged my floor. I paid $100 to get this diagnosed and I was told that the part to fix it cost more than the fridge. I called whirlpool and they say pay 30 buck a month for warranty for a year. I thought whirpool was a good brand. I bought used appliances for my rental and they lasted longer than this!

• Brand new fridge not even a year old and filling up with water on the inside. Pretty ridiculous. I use this as a second fridge so it has about 6-10 small items in it and the freezer has even less so this shouldn’t be happening. I had to schedule a repair and they said only half of the heater is working to defrost. I expect that from a fridge that’s years old. Not a brand new one just manufactured. Ridiculous. Not to mention I am pregnant so it’s more hassle I didn’t want to deal with.

• Bought in March 2023. Compressor went out in September. Inside 1 year first time ever on any appliance. Manufacturer warranty turned me over to local repair company. 2 weeks to send someone out to diagnose. 3 more weeks to get appointment to replace. Today worker breaks another part while installing. Spends hours trying to solder it to no avail. Now 16 more days until they come back with another new part. Absolutely ridiculous. Will never buy a Whirlpool appliance again.

• Bought this fridge in February and it came broke. Whirlpool sent out 2 technicians to diagnose the issue. It was not fixable so we had to order a replacement. The replacement came in May because it was back-ordered. I noticed that the seal was off and cold air was leaking. Whirlpool again had to send out a technician rather than accepting my photos. The technician determined that it was not repairable. The new replacement fridge is set to arrive end of June. It’s been 4 months and I have not had a working fridge. I believe it would be a nice fridge if they weren’t defective.

• We were so excited to get our little refrigerator. It seemed like the solution for our upstairs kitchen. We have gotten so many compliments on it. It was out of warranty on December 2022 and now it leaks all the time creating water puddles in on the glass. We don't know what we can do but it hardly seems fair that it is not very old and just because we chose to not buy the service agreement. We can't afford to invest in another. If it would work, I would give 5 stars because it is really spacious for a little refrigerator.
