3 days after delivery everything in frig is freezing and the freezer has iced up. Lost over $200.00 worth of food. Called repair center and they can't look at it for almost 3weeks. Very disappointing and not worth the price!

My husband and I were looking for a second refrigerator when our old one died. We like the idea of having the second one as opposed to having a freezer. We went to Lowe's with only one option in mind...It had to be a Whirpool. After looking over a lot of different options and models we decided on the 14 cu ft model. I was skeptical at first, because I didn't think that we would have the room that we were accustomed too. But I was wrong, we have enough room and it has been a space saver to boot. I'm sure that the added bonus of it being energy efficient doesn't hurt either. We're so pleased with our purchase, we haven't thought twice about any other refrigerator.

We bought this unit last week. Honestly I had my reservations. BUT.... absolutely love it. It may look small but it’s absolutely huge on the inside. It seals so tight and it is so very quiet. This is a definite 5 star and highly recommend!! Awesome job whirlpool!!!!!

This is the replacement to a much older model of the same refrigerator for me. It is much more energy efficient, quiet, and just the right size for a single gal who loves to cookl. The crisper drawers are nice to have in good shape, as the old ones were a bit off the track. I like the cheese/butter tray. Only complaints: the boarders of the shelves and egg tray are large enough that I notice slightly less usable space than in the old model. No doubt I will adjust as it is fractional really. My egg cartons do not fit on the egg area, so I use the bottom shelf. But overall it's nice to have new, efficient and perfect to my needs.

A crisper drawer was bad. Called for two days. Could not get a live person! Chat help wasn't much help. In order to replace drawer i need to send a copy of my receipt and send it to the email address. I don't have access to a computer right now and asked for an address to mail the receipt and was told I can't do it by mail. How do I get the drawers?? The phone recording was a ZERO. Before I could say my phone number was told try again.SECOND TIME I was disconnected. Called 3 times each day for three days. Same results. Live person would have solved this minor problem in minutes. THREE DAYS. and I don't know how I'm going to get the crispers.VERY AGGRAVATING
Very satisfied customer07/29/2024 09:04 AM
This refrigerator hasn't been able to maintain a safe temperature from the day it was dilevered. The recommended settings dropped the refrigerator section to 31 degrees and the freezer section to 15 degrees. There have been 4 visits. 2 visits to diagnosis the problem and 2 visits to repair. The refrigerator still won't stay in a safe temperature range. This has been my worst experience with a major appliance. I have to wonder how Whirlpool could ship such a defective piece of equipment. Seems there is a lack of quality control. I am very unsatisfied with this refrigerato0r, I have no confidence in this refrigerator or the Whirlpool brand or their customer support. All I want no if the refrigerator removed sbd a refund of my purchsse. I'm not asking at this time fir reimbursement for food we've hsd to throw awsy or the l I st time as t wirk to be cc avaliable for t GG e re poo air service appointments.

The two that delivered the refrigerator, said that they did not want to get the refrigerator dirty. The lead guy said their hands were dirty. Okay, I thought that made good sense. After they left, their we’re scratches inside the freezer . That might be the reason he said that, I had a sink 3 feet to wash hands, in the garage.

I bought this a month ago as a 2nd garage fridge. After numerous positive reviews on several units I chose this one. It has done exactly what is expected. I am very pleased with Whirlpool and this unit. I have always been a Whirlpool consumer and will continue to be. ** plus a dolled it up with an aftermarket wrap. is a great conversation piece when people see it now.....

I purchased a few weeks ago. I am happy with my purchase. Its quiet and keeps everything cold. I'm only sorry that it's smaller than anticipated. How ever I just buy less groceries.
Cecelia D07/04/2018 02:23 AM
Im so glad I bought this , it is so quiet and doesn't freeze things in the back like my last refrigerator.

I’ve barely had my refrigerator for 3 weeks and so far I’m pleased with it.

I bought this fridge about 2 months ago now to replace my old basement fridge which died after I don't know how long, probably 30 years. So far I am very happy with it. Both the freezer and fridge sections are working well and I almost never hear it and then only if I'm in the basement. It does take a firm pull to open the freezer door which I don't mind. The only drawback is if you want to move a shelf up or down - even if nothing is blocking the door it only opens less than 180* so pulling out a shelf is a very tight squeeze. Other than that, its been good with minimal use.

We purchased this Refrigerator and had it delivered from Lowe's a few weeks ago. Delivered on time, it was in perfect condition, handled and installed properly. We love the features this refrigerator has. The sliding glass shelves really help to access the foods easily which helps if you have back or leg issues. This refrigerator stays nice and cold at 37 degrees with the temperature gauge at little below mid range. Another thing we like is that both doors of this Refrigerator / Freezer have great suction for sealing which keeps the foods and Drinks colder and fresher.

When our old 18 cubic foot refrigerator (not a Whirlpool) died last month my family needed a replacement. Since there are only three of us now, we wanted to downsize a bit but didn't want to compromise on features. The Whirlpool 14 cubic foot refrigerator with top freezer was the perfect fit for our needs and had all the features we wanted: top freezer, glass shelves in the refrigerator section, door storage, etc. We are all very happy with this purchase and look forward to many years of service from this appliance. I would gladly recommend this product to anyone looking for a great refrigerator-freezer.

On the plus side, the unit is very quiet - when not cooling, basically soundless. Freezer compartment is large, with two shelving units in the door. The main part of the fridge only has two shelving units in the door, but the instructions show that perhaps a third could be added on the bottom. Thee thermostat control on the one hand is convenient, front and center over the top shelve, but that also means any large items must be moved around to the back or the sides of that shelf. Produce bins are also roomy. Probably overall too small for a family but a good size for a single person or someone who doesn't require much cold storage.

My 20 year-old GE died. Stopped cooling. Literally a melt-down. We bought this model Whirpool because it fit into the space in the kitchen and it was available right away. The delivery was wonderful--on time, efficient, refrigerator started right up. It cools and freezes fine--I have no complaints. It's slightly smaller and with a different configuration from my old fridge, but no matter. The issue is that it is VERY NOISY when it runs---complete silence when it doesn't run. It sounds like the motor is straining, and there are pings and dings as though things are falling inside. It's loud enough to be heard 30 feet away.

On April 1 I purchased a Whirlpool fridge. On August 1 the fridge stop working. According to the tech that came out to diagnose the problem, the fridge has “known” issues with it’s defrost mechanisms which causes the freezer to literally freeze up - in turn inhibiting air flow to the fridge. I lost about $200 in food due to this known issue...to add insult to the wound, after the tech came out to diagnose with a promise to return to fix the issue, I get a call that the necessary parts to fix my “known” issue are on back order with no ETA. Are you kidding me??? Never EVER will I buy a Whirlpool again!

This is the 3rd time I bought this model. Not a lot of choices in 14.3 cu. ft. The 1st fridge lasted 9 years! Great! Second one started leaking from freezer after only 4 years. Since repair from Whirlpool was $550, & a new unit $630, not really a hard choice. I prefer glass shelves, & this was the only brand w/ them in 2020. Now other brands of this size have glass shelves again. I had to exchange this new one 2x, first fridge's door wouldn't close, the 2nd never got cold enough to freeze ice. (Kudos to Lowes 48 hr exchange policy.) I am hoping to get 4 years from this unit. If not, a new brand will be my next fridge.

Mine is an old house. The kitchen was built with older, smaller appliances in mind. The old fridge finally gave up the ghost and it was difficult to find a new one to fit in the niche. This refrigerator fits perfectly and has a lot more space, especially in the freezer area.

This is actually my third Whirlpool refrigerator (not the same model) in the last three months. The first could not be repaired. The second one the compressor died in three weeks. This one seems to be working better. The only reason I have this one is because, they wouldn't give me any money back, they would only replace it with another refrigerator made by their corporation. I hope this one lasts longer than three weeks. Be cautious when buying anything from Whirlpool. In any case so far so good.

I've only had this two weeks so far, but everything seems to be fine. I downsized to this fridge from a larger one, and it still seems to be adequate for my needs. Basic, no frills, although the glass shelves are a plus, and the option for an icemaker good (although I didn't choose that yet). Freezer is good size. The door shelves are not adjustable, the butter door doesn't close completely with my butter dish in it; the egg carton space isn't large enough for the carton to sit flat, but these are small issues. I didn't want to spend a huge amount, so overall this unit is fine and meets my small household needs.

It's really nice how the shelves are set up. I can store a lot of different sizes of items. It cooled everything down so fast! It works great!
