• Scratch and marks magnet. Just have had the cook top for 3 days and we see permanent marks formed on the glass top. We used the manufacturer recommended cleaning solution but has no impact on the permanently formed marks. The previous cooktop -Amana that we had for last 15 years was anti scratch and marks.

• Glass is very poor quality. gets scratches at every opportunity. I had Bosch cooktop before & used it for 6 years and not even a single scratch. & this whirlpool cooktop has multiple scratches in one month. All the knobs have different settings .... some turn slow when clockwise & some are other way. no similarity for user. Very poor design. and Glass is not flat - glass has a hump in middle. possibly due to cheap material or flaw in manufacturing.

• I love the multiple options for burner sizes in the front. I also love that the largest burners are in the front. Heats up pretty quickly. Seems much larger than our previous cooktop, which as the same size and only had one large burner. Only drawback? Cleaning is more difficult than my previous one. I used to clean that with damp paper towels with a drop of dish soap. This one requires a cooktop cleaner which dries and then needs buffing. Anything else I've tried leaves streaks. That's why I took a star away from this otherwise great cooktop.

• This cooktop was shown as the replacement model for our old Whirlpool glass cooktop after we cracked the unreplaceable glass on that one. The required cutout dimensions in our granite countertop for the new cooktop matched the cutout for the damaged one. Within the first week of use, the glass for one burner developed hundreds of tiny rings that we could not remove with a razor, scrubber sponge, soap and water, or one brand of cooktop light duty cleaner. The rings couldn't be felt on the surface, so we assumed they below the surface. We contacted Whirlpool for warranty service who willingly scheduled an onsite repair. Prior to the repair appointment, we purchased Affresh glass cooktop cleaner, which is recommended in the cooktop manual, though certain it wouldn't help. To our amazement, a couple of rounds of the Affresh cleaner and considerable rubbing completely removed every ring. Attached are before and after photos (the tiny specks in the "after" photo are from my camera, not visible on the actual burner). Bottom line: the new cooktop performs well, is a sleeker look than the old one, and you abolutely must use Affresh or an equivalent cleaner to keep the glass looking like new.

• I’m remodeling my kitchen. So we wanted to upgrade our 15 year old glass cooktop to one with dual burners and a warming element. After only two weeks of minimum usage we noticed small scratches. We only use the proper cooktop cleaner and followed the instructions for cleaning in the manual. After 15 years my previous cooktop did not have this issue. Disappointed that it seems to scratch so easy. Other than the scratching issue, the cooktop is very nice. We like the dual burners and the warming element.

• This is the suggested replacement for the electronic cooktop. I’m not pleased with it though. Scrapes easily. The knobs make it harfend to clean. I wish the other one was not recalled.

• I bought this cooktop about a month ago to replace an old Magic chef that had outlived its life expectancy. This cooktop looks very sharp with the stainless steel trim and knobs. I installed myself. Very easy. Happy customer!

• Seems like a good unit - do like that it has 2 dual burners for flexibility if ever doing 2 bigger pots or pans. Does seem to heat fairly quickly. The one negative we have noticed so far is the knobs. It would have really been nice if they had put a white inlay in the little recess area on the on of the knob to make it much easier to see where the setting is. This is especially true on the dual burners so you can tell if it is pointed to the small or the big size of the burner. I believe the stainless steel version does this and I know our older Whirlpool we replaced did it on the black knobs. Seems like a cost savings that is not worth it.

• I bought this to replace my existing cooktop. The new cooktop I purchased was the stainless steel model. Once I received it, I noticed the knobs are cheap plastic...nothing stainless steel about them. These knobs are very flimsy when turning so I am sure I will have to replace these regularly. Secondly, after one week of use, little bubble pockets formed under the glass. I called Whirlpool and of course have not received a call back. Lastly, don't waste anything on the cooktop, it is almost impossible to wipe it clean. I am disappointed in Whirlpool quality and customer service.

• We bought this about a month ago. Works well. I like that it heats up and cools down quicker than my old one. We did have to enlarge the hole in the granite in order to install it, but the old one was 20 years old.

• I bought this a month ago to replace the exact one I had purchased approximately 4 to 5 years ago. The older one started not keeping a consistent temperature on the left front burner. (go from low to high to completely off) That happened for several months and then all the burners started to do the same thing, I love the stove-top is the reason I bought the exact same one as a replacement hoping this was just an isolated incident and the new one would not have the same problem. I like this one because it has 2 large burners onthe front that can be used as smaller burners also.

• We've been using our new Whirlpool 30-inch electric ceramic glass cooktop for a few weeks now, and we're delighted with it. One of three brand new appliances we purchased for our newly renovated kitchen, it has two dual radiant elements and a warm zone; must-have features that we use daily. There's other more expensive cooktops with more advanced features, which we looked at but in the end decided on the model we have. It meets our needs perfectly well, and we love its sleek all-back appearance!

• Within two weeks of use the right back burner developed a half circle discoloration that is permanent. Very unsightly. $898 for a cooktop and this is what we got

• I bought this to replace a Jenn air downdraft cook top that we had for about 25 years. Sadly it wore out. The Whirlpool cook top is wonderful. The dual size burners are perfect. It cleans beautifully and looks great in out 1929 black and white art deco kitchen. I love the feature that lights up st say when the unit is on and when it remains hot. I highly recommend this cook top. I was lucky I bought it on sale with $200.00 off but it really is worth full price.

• Replaced our Jenn-Air cooktop with this unit and are realy happy with the performance and ease of installation. WE did have to add a new 8 gauge electric wire and 40 amp breaker and now we are set for many years...Luv to cook.

• I looked at several replacement cooktops. I chose this cooktop because I liked the 5 burner with a warming pad & stainless steel features. There is a stainless steel strip on the front of the cooktop. Needless to say, the knobs are plastic, paid extra $$ for “stainless look” knobs . I would have given 5 stars for stainless steel knobs. The other features are great! We are enjoying our new cooktop.

• I bought this cooktop to replace a old whirlpool gold that I broke the top on recently. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a new cooktop so I read reviews and looked at features and decided on this one. It seems to be a great value for the price and cleans up pretty easily after cooking. The only thing whirlpool should do differently is add a colored line to the knob so it’s easier to see when turning it off. Overall I have been pleased with my purchase

• Model #WCE77USOHS 30in 5 elements So very unhappy. The stove top has some kind of coating that makes it difficult to clean. Yes I purchased the cleaner kit and the bubbles remain. This is the burner I prepared hitwater cornbread. Apparently it can't handle hot oil. I'm praying I just got a lemon. On hold now with whirlpool. It's been a while and looks like it will be even longer.

• Have had it for a week, and for the most part it's a nice unit. I have noticed the cooking surfaces are different from the surface that surrounds it, and that surface is more difficult to clean without streaks. Also my previous cooktop was all touch controlled that overtime was not as quick to respond as the years past, so I chose this for it's control knobs. You just have to put in a bit more effort to clean around them. They are failrly easy to remove, which makes cleaning a bit easier. If it were not for the extra efforts required to clean it this would have been a 5 star rating.

• I purchased this cooktop to replace another Whirlpool that was many years old. I love the 5 burners and especially the dual radiant elements. It's easy to clean and maintain that new look. Can't go wrong with this one!
