  • I had my Whirlpool refrigerator installed in mid July. This is the first time I’ve had an ice maker and a bottom freezer. I’m still getting used to the bottom freezer but it’s growing on me. Having the freezer near the floor makes access to the refrigerator much easier and convenient. The items in the fridge are at eye level. Very nice! The inside of the unit is pretty spacious. You have to think a bit when you load the fridge. I’m single so it’s fine for me. If you have a large family, I would consider something bigger. I have a condo with a very small kitchen, so I needed to stick to a 30 inch wide unit. That being said, it’s still quite spacious. I was concerned about putting a gallon of water inside, however it does fit. You can place the gallon either on the right middle shelf or even on the bottom shelf of the door. Great design for larger bottles! The ice maker works great! No more refilling of ice trays. Although the bottom freezer is just slightly smaller than my old Kenmore top freezer, it’s still spacious and easy to organize your items. The bottom freezer is bigger than it looks once you start adding things. The stainless is easy to clean and looks great! There is also plenty of room on the fridge door to store condiments, bottled water etc. I also purchased this fridge because it had a shorter depth than most refrigerators as I have a small kitchen. It does not stick out from my countertops very much. At first I wanted a counter depth refrigerator, but all of them are too wide. I needed to stick to a 30 inch wide unit, so this one has the best of both worlds (shorter depth and perfect width). The two crisper drawers are spacious! If you’re looking for a 30 inch wide, nice depth fridge, take a look at this Whirlpool! I thought the price was a bit high considering the features are few. However I like this refrigerator. It was just the size I needed for depth and width plus ice maker. Check this item for sales! I did pretty well. I got $400 off the MSRP. That made this unit much more appealing. FC

  • Whirlpool model WRB329DMBM just delivered 1 week ago. I’ll give you feedback from a wheelchair users perspective as well as general feedback. If you want the same fridge with the dairy/butter flip up compartment Amana (owned by Whirlpool) makes the same size fridge with this feature. Model # ABB1924BRM. It does not come with an ice maker but can be ordered separately. Wheelchair users: I originally purchased a Frigidaire 4 door side by side model 17.6 cu ft. What I found out is on any model fridge designed like this the freezer is higher than a bottom freezer with pull out drawer. This leads to the fridge being higher and the shelves being less accessible. This Whirlpool model has the crisper drawers at the bottom of the fridge and a half width deli drawer that can be positioned wherever you want. This makes the shelves lower and more accessible. Many other models have a full width deli drawer at the bottom of the fridge, crisper drawers on top of that, and then the first shelf. This design makes the 2nd shelf somewhat usable and the top shelf not accessible at all. WRB329DMBM Pros and Cons Pros: Refrigerator half width glass shelves are individually adjustable to the height you prefer. The half width deli drawer can also be positioned where you want it in the fridge. The temp controls are at the front top of the fridge, approximately 65” high. I can easily reach up from my chair to adjust if needed. The door shelves are half width and height adjustable as well. This gives you height options to store taller items in the door. The fridge door opens flush with the side of the cabinet. This means you can position the fridge next to a wall and the door will not contact it when opened. The freezer is well lit and decent size. The basket dividers can be removed which allow you to lay larger items flat (pizza). I used a stiff flat puddly knife to pry the tab back and unclip the divider from the basket. Cons: Crisper drawers are cheaply made and do not slide in and out very well. If you lift the front edge slightly while pushing the drawer back in it helps a little. The Monochromatic stainless is difficult to keep clean. I’m single with no kids and it’s still a challenge. Whirlpool recommends a wet towel or sponge, make sure it’s wet enough and have your drying towel handy. If you don’t wipe immediately it will streak. Whirlpool advertises this fridge comes with the FreshFlow produce feature which helps with keep produce fresh longer. My fridge did not come with this feature even though it was supposed to. The Whirlpool rep could not tell me if this feature was discontinued or if my fridge was assembled incorrectly. Come on Whirlpool, if you advertise a product feature on your website it should be included with the product! Operating noise level: Every few hours I would hear a loud noise, loud enough to startle me while watching TV. I don’t have a water line to my fridge so I switched off the ice maker. The loud clunking noise has not occurred since I’ve done this. Normal operating noise level is 50.5db. Not exactly a quiet fridge. I have a decimal app on my phone and positioned it on the floor in front of the fridge to obtain the db reading. If I had the chance to buy again I would purchase the Frigidaire with the variable speed compressor. Yes it runs more frequently but at a lower speed which maintains a more consistent temp. It’s the same principal as the newer forced air furnaces with variable speed fans which maintain an even temp in your home. It’s actually more energy efficient. Frigidaire has auto humidity controlled crisper drawers and a vertical pocket in the freezer door to store pizza. Model GRBN2012AF. The drawback is it doesn’t have the shelf adjustability in the fridge that the Whirlpool does. I hope this helps.

  • Bought no frills refrigerator/ freezer with ice maker. Reasonable priced unit. Good use of space. Only criticism is that ice maker works too well, or bin is too small. Ice cubes often spill out onto floor when filling glass for my iced tea. Also, model in store had an adjustable spacer bar in top freezer rack, but mine does not. Asked store to see about getting one for me, but they never replied. Really not much selection in 30 inch refrigerators.

  • This refrigerator was installed on June 9th, haven't had it long. This unit is much quieter than our 20 plus year old fridge. The unit keeps the temp constant and I am pleased with the amount of space in the fridge part. You can configure it as you like. The freezer is a bit small, but that's okay for us. If you are a family of more than 2, you may need a sperate freezer unit. I didn't install the ice cube maker, so I can't comment on that. Overall, it's the only fridge that would fit in our small and tight kitchen. I am pleased however with the unit thus far.

    jehrler06/27/2025 12:03 AM

  • I bought this fridge to fit a specific opening in my kitchen. It works great but in order to make handle easily reversible, there are two screw heads visible on the front of the door. I've been told there are no caps. Those two screw are very ugly on what should be the sleek looking stainless steel door.

    PattyAnnie07/31/2018 03:57 AM

  • I searched high and low for a refrigerator with all the specifications I needed. This fit the bill perfectly! I am very happy with the purchase .

    Beth401/22/2024 04:12 AM

  • I bought this in August it was delivered on march 1st. After only a week of use the lever on the vegetable storage bin broke off! The bins don’t track or glide well. The lever caught on the bin as I was pushing it back in. The lever mount design is too close to the top of the bin.

  • I love my new whirlpool refrigerator. It is so roomy.

    foreglor05/03/2024 08:10 AM

  • I have had this for just over a week. Replaced a stainless Kenmore French door. CONS: Louder than my previous one, whirlpool sign is a literal metal sticker that is on crooked and I tried straightening it but it bent, the spot on the freezer door where the metal meets is unfinished and looks bad, the drawers are plastic and scratched on the first day. PROS: fits all of our food for a family of three and doesn’t take up too much space in our small kitchen, the white is smooth on the front (bumpy on sides)and looks nice. I do wish I had gotten the higher quality kitchen aid which is now price cut down to what I paid for this whirlpool.

    Adams05/23/2024 10:05 AM

  • We chose this because the dimensions were perfect for the space and we wanted a bottom-freezer fridge. Absolutely love the design and the ease of access. But from day one we haven't been getting any ice. We made sure that our water line wasn't kinked or clogged. We also made sure that the water was running through the line and getting to the refrigerator. We'll probably spend some more time investigating when we get a chance (we're very busy) or maybe just purchase and install a new ice maker if we can't get this one to work. Other than that, very satisfied. Love all of our other Whirlpool appliances too. I wish the trouble-shooting instructions for the ice maker were better.

    Alex09/28/2023 10:06 AM

  • With the COVID supply chain delays the delivery took 8 months, 1 week, and 1 day to get my refrigerator. I understood this situation. the refrigerator is perfect for me in terms of tech specs...if only it would work. I have had it less than 2 months, the warranty repair guy was here and says it needs a NEW compressor. Really? This is a brand NEW unit. I would like to support you Whirlpool guys, but the freezer doesn't even freeze ice. I sort of have two refrigerators. The food I first put in the freezer never froze and I had to throw it out. See photos for temperature gauges, and specific captions. So disappointing. Note: I don't expect you to post this "review" but I DO expect you to DO SOMETHING about this situation.

    BKhere07/29/2021 03:56 AM

  • Due to height limitations the selection of refrigerators was limited. Also, due to COVID concerns, we could not get to a store. We ordered on-line based on features and other reviews. We had to self-install and that went much better than expected. Overall we are pleased with the function, look and space. The ice maker works well. There is no dedicated butter tray but if you have one from another fridge it may work. Notes- If you have a family of 4+ or store lots of frozen food you will want a larger refrigerator. Also the seal is very strong. If you open and shut the door quickly you may need to wait a minute to easily reopen the door again. Also, like most stainless fridges the stainless does not extend to the sides or top. The sides and top are dark gray.

    Celeste’s Kitchen05/18/2020 06:44 AM

  • We were looking for a 30-inch fridge to fit in a tight area. We also prefer a bottom freezer with inside ice maker. The cubes made by ice maker are the perfect size - not too large. We prefer a swing door on freezer, but we are pleased with this model nevertheless. We are a couple and are satisfied with the limited freezer space. This is the quietest fridge we have owned. Our home is an open plan and the fridge sits just feet away from where I sit in the living room. Overall, terrific fridge for small space. We are very pleased with this purchase.

    Plower08/24/2018 02:28 AM

  • We have had this fridge for less than a year. Magnets stick to the doors so it can't actually be real stainless. The doors have become severely discolored and rust spots are showing through. We haven't used any harmful products on the fridge and do not live in a salty climate so it was nothing we did. I called Whirlpool and all they will do for me is send stainless cleaner. After Googleing this problem I came across HUNDREDS of complaints about Whirlpool and rust on their "stainless".

    Jackie8811/02/2017 09:33 AM

  • Purchased this Whirlpool after my Amana died after 19 years. Very similar. Basic features which works for me. Wished I had saved shelves from Amana to use in new Whirlpool. Had a shelf that slide out which would be nice to have along with the soda can dispenser. Saved the door bins that had mats. Fits in Whirlpool. Like new icemaker.

    Lisa C09/02/2025 11:34 AM

  • I’ve had the bottom freezer 18.7 cu ft refrigerator for two weeks. I had to remove the doors to squeeze through three house doors (one of which required me to remove it from its hinges in my 1937 brick home) but made it. My wife loves the stainless doors and the small footprint. As we are empy nesters, we really don’t need more volume for groceries. Whirlpool is US made as a big plus! My old hometown Evansville, IN had a huge Whirlpool plant that closed in the 70’s.

    Thomas10/02/2023 03:16 AM

  • Taking time getting used to the shelf locations and storage of our foodstuff. But like the refer and it is much quieter than than our 30 year old Amana. Only difficulty was that the door swings wide (>90 degrees) and hits a small wall extending along side of refrigerator. No limiter / door stop is available to limit the swing. This could cause damage to face of door. Whirlpool needs to make a simple piece to be added to the hinge to stop the door from swinging too far and hitting the wall.

    Quite and cool08/26/2023 10:22 AM

  • Very quiet, overall good ergonomics. I wish the ice maker was smaller (or at least the bin) as it uses valuable freezer space which is limited on a smaller fridge like this. Also, the bottom freezer drawer center divider prevents storage of things like a frozen pizza box. Haven't done it yet, but I'll probably remove the divider, but it doesn't look like a simple thing to do. Whirlpool, advise as to how to remove the divider?

    Craig03/11/2024 12:45 AM

  • Looked forward to USA made new refrigerator by Whirlpool. Received new 18.7 cu ft Stainless Bottom freezer WRB329DMB M 03 today. (My Maytag stopped working a week ago after 13 years. Very identical to this frige) This Whirlpool looks nice enough, happy it is here, but not those screws on the front, really awful There are 3 parts mentioned that do not exist and I do not see in the manual but they come up online on product descriptions in store sites and on Whirlpool site as need to replace: Freshness Preserver for Produce drawer; Air filter where is it and info on it; and Water filter there is not one I can locate. Other than those issues, glad I got my frige, I have a small space 30 inches by 68 inches so hard to find one that is in stock and fits.

    Grace06/17/2021 05:48 AM

  • I redid my kitchen and was looking for a bottom mount freezer/ fridge. Based on the other reviews I decided on this model. My old fridge was a Whirlpool also and some comparisons I see, even though the fridge cubic feet is almost identical it seems a bit smaller inside. There is plenty of door space and with a bit of shuffling I have worked it out for my needs. It is easy to move the door shelves around. As far as the veggie bins and dairy bin they are definitely smaller and again I have had to readjust. The freezer came with an ice maker which again takes up a lot of room. The design is flat and narrow as opposed to my previous tall and squat bin. I am looking to see if I can find a container half the size. We are only two and not big ice users. I like the bottom freezer and it can accommodate my food. The drawers pull out fully. BTW the fridge door has a wide arc.The inside of the fridge is very bright with the temp controls within easy reach. The freezer also has a light which is a bonus for me.Love the modern streamlined look. So far easy to clean...no kids.

  • Absolutely enjoying new refrigerator w/bottom freezer. Seems more spacious than normal top style. Ice maker was slow starting until I read manual and lowered temperatures until it got going.

    Ice cube connoisseur07/31/2019 04:30 AM

  • I haven't had it for long, about 2 months. It is quiet and works well, makes ice. It does not have as much space inside as I thought it would. The exterior dimensions are identical to my old fridge, but the freezer space is larger, but does not hold as much. The drawers and hardware for the drawers take up a great deal of space. So far, the only issue I see is that the fridge door swings out uncontrollably when it is opened, it swings fast and hits hard on the hinge. I worry about the wear on the hinge from the way it closes. I am thinking it is missing a washer to tighten things a bit so it opens in a more controlled fashion.

    Chickenyard09/24/2019 09:48 AM

  • This refrigerator appears to function well. The fit of the pull-out drawers for produce seems a bit insecure. The design of the bottom-freezer doesn't facilitate vertical stacking. Items have to be stacked on top of each other, making visual identification of items difficult.

    Jeff K08/11/2025 04:22 AM

  • This is a surprise gift to me from my family. It is the same size as my old one which is a 12-yr old Whirlpool, and this is my first bottom-freezer refrigerator. I feel this freezer does not hold as much as my old one due to the separations in the baskets. Again, the removal buckets that go on the door may be helpful in organizing things but not necessary the greatest in maximizing space. I like the humidity drawers for produce very much. I thought it was just another gimmick--but no, it works! I am noticing that my lettuce last longer. Noise level is low until the ice maker kicks in. Every greasy finger print shows on the silver metal door.
