• I recently replaced my Maytag that lasted more than 10 years with this Whirlpool, so far so good, have lot of space inside, lots of shelves that you can customize in hight and size, snack rack in the door, and even the freezer have a division for pizza boxes. Cons: the water dispenser is too close to the edge of the door and tends to leaks a little after you serve water, the ice dispenser is not too far behind, not a lot of space for a big cup.

• Simply put? I’m a 50 year old mother of one loved daughter, and love ice! Dad and I lost mom over 10 years ago and we are doing well but are cautious about larger purchases… but we finally decided we’d had enough with our old small fridge with very limited space and one of those old fashioned ice makers that just spit out those half moon yucky ice cubes that didn’t fit well into any container, boooo. So we braced ourselves for how high we THOUGHT the price might be when we went to Lowes… we were SHOCKED AND ELATED when we found out we could gift ourselves such a HIGH QUALITY AND SPACIOUS new refrigerator at such an affordable price! These days everything seems so expensive, and, working for my state DHHR and thus helping secure appliances for families in need, I was afraid the fridge of our dreams, wouldn’t be within our budget, but it was WAY WITHIN OUR BUDGET - WE WERE FLOORED AT HOW AFFORDABLE FOR SUCH QUALITY AND SO MANY NICE FEATURES!! So what do we proudly and happily own now, this fridge!! Mom would have been tickled and would have loved putting all our drinks and dinner meats and yummy vegetables and fruits inside, and delicious deserts lol… it has several shelves inside both the main compartment and the freezer, more than a wonderful amount of holders in both of the side by side doors (which, by the way, are all moveable to your liking!), multiple crisper holders, and don’t even get me started on the ice maker!! :) It’s saved dad and I so much on using bottled water, and, you can have crushed or square cubed ice, AND for when our doggies want ice cubes you can also simply tilt back the inner ice cube compartment and easily scoop a handful out. Couldn’t be happier and Dad and I wonder why we didn’t reward ourselves with this years ago. Really, I know a new refrigerator making us so excited might really call out our ages, haha, but in the end it became simply a DELIGHTFUL, AFFORDABLE luxury, and in these economic times who couldn’t use one of those blessings? I shared this review so you and your family could know there IS a great fridge out there, within your price range, that fulfills all your needs and more. And don’t forget how nice it is to fill up your cups and insulated water bottles with clean fresh ice and water! The little things we do for ourselves seem few and far between lately, but this was a big ticket item at a surprisingly affordable price that dad and I love! He has lots of room for his ice cream treats now too, which makes me happy, and, the dogs say woof for the ice whenever they hear me fill up my water bottle - they love cool crispy crunchy snack. <3 If you’re ready to go shopping for a new refrigerator definitely go see and explore this model for yourselves, or at least browse within the Whirlpool brand… as Whirlpool had many many options all priced at less than $2000, and in fact Dad and I only ended up spending $1700, including delivery, set up, and a brand new water line for the water so it was nice and clean to have our cooled water dispenser and ice be nice and clean and fresh. More than HIGHLY recommend!

• I’ve had this fridge for ten days and this is what I know so far. It has lots of room, the ice maker works great, I’m having to use the highest setting on the refrigerator side to keep the temp just below 40°, it seems to constantly run and makes several odd noises on a regular basis. I read several reviews prior to making this purchase, many complained about ice maker noise, but once the bin filled up that noise pretty much went away. The reviews mentioning the constant run were correct as were the reviews saying it is overall noisy. Bottom line, if it lasts as long as the 17 year old 25 cu ft Whirlpool it is replacing I will still be a satisfied customer.

• This fridge is a joke, doesn't cool, had compressor replaced, didn't work, had control board replaced, still doesn't work, whirlpool obviously doesn't stand by their products. Now i have a huge box that's junk

• Purchased on 9/4/2023 from Lowe’s to many issues to list from doors not even to the ice maker needing 3 ways to fill up to running non stop contacted Lowe’s 24 hours after delivery with my issues/ Lowe’s pick up on 9/23 and refused to bing out any type of replacement until this one was back at the warehouse/canceled everything and repaired the old one NEVER AGAIN and whirlpool offered a service call 3 weeks out not what I would call customer service after spending 1700.00

• I bought this just over a week ago. I really like the features of this Stainless Fridge, like all the LED lights inside and at the dispenser. Also I like that it has 3 drawers in Fridge instead of the normal 2. I also like that the Ice maker is located in the Freezer door instead of mounted in the freezer area which makes more room for storage. I also like that the shelves are glass in freezer as well, which I prefer. Another thing that I love is it is really Quiet, very nice. A lot of thought went into the design of all the features in this Whirlpool, and I'm impressed I'm really happy with this Fridge.

• The refrigerator is beautiful. Hopefully, it will last far longer than our previous TWO Kenmores! Wish I could give this a 5 Star but due to some issues, I can only give it 3. First, although the dimensions are the same, it did NOT fit into our space. We actually had to raise our cabinets - Nightmare! Also, despite the measurements being the same, the refrigerator seems to have far less storage capacity. We are struggling to determine the most effective way to store our food. Our Whirlpool is a fridge/freezer side by side vs our Kenmore which was a top/ bottom 2 drawer style. It definitely has far less storage capacity. Additionally, the compartment drawers do not glide smoothly and one has already cracked. We have only had this fridge for a few weeks. I’ve been trying to call in a claim this morning but cannot get through-I will have to go to the website. Also, upon delivery, the installers/delivery guys did not remove all of the packaging plastic. I did not notice this while they were here. Now, we are stuck with pieces of plastic sticking out of crevices that we cannot get out-so annoying! I do like the ice compartment in the door and the tilt out ice storage bin. This is a very nice feature. The refrigerator itself is beautiful. We have received many compliments. Wish I could give it a 5 star but so disappointed with the storage capacity and how the compartment drawers glide that I can’t. Hopefully, there is a way to fix the drawers and I am sure we will figure out the best use of the space.

• I was so excited to equip my new-build home with all stainless steel Whirlpool appliances. I’m happy with all of our kitchen appliances except this. After getting water, the dispenser drips water down the front of the refrigerator, so it always leaves a streak down the stainless steel and leaves a puddle on our floor. The ice dispenser always drops a stray ice cube onto the floor 10-15 minutes after someone gets ice. It’s so frustrating! I’m really disappointed. Otherwise, we would really like this refrigerator. We will be recommending that our builder look into reconsidering which brand and model they choose as an upgrade for their clients.

• This product deserves negative 5 stars. The fridge broke down with in 7 months of purchase. Imagine getting back from a work trip and opening a fridge full of rotten, melted, decomposing food. The smell was unbearable. I was left without a refrigerator for the holidays and the worst mess you can imagine. The screws and other parts in the freezer are rusted from the breakdown. I have had to call Whirlpool more than 5 times with no resolution, waiting on hold for 45 minutes or more. They still cannot find someone to come and look at it. All I get is the “sucks to be you” sympathy but no solution. The product is under warranty which has not helped at all. The multiple service appointments that were scheduled for me disappeared with no explanation or communication. The excuse was maybe those were all new agents. So much wasted food, so much mold to clean up with no offer to replace the food or even suggestions on how to clean the mold. Whirlpool is the worst company with Zero respect for customers. I am actually writing this review as I wait for a Whirlpool rep to figure out why the appointments were canceled and of course I got hung up on. Not surprised at all. I was actually told to buy the extended warranty because they know how bad their product is.

• Bought this refrigerator January 13 2022 amd it has never worked . Refrigerator has been serviced 5 times and still does not work . Two compressors have been replaced as well as relays and a bunch of other parts . Its been nearly a year a we have yet to been able to use the refrigerator and whirlpool will not help us properly. We need a refrigerator. We paid over 2000 dollars for the refrigerator and warranty. Whirlpool has our money and we have a giant paper weight . I am a disabled veteran on a fixed income. Im in need of a refrigerator desperately. Help your customers whirlpool.

• We purchased this in June of 2018. Periodically the icemaker would quit making ice and the icetray arm mechanism and nearby area would have ice buildup. We would open the door and clean the ice bucket and the ice near the upper area and it would start making ice again. Then quit again. So we called service out and they said it was likely the water inlet valve. Changed it and still have the same problem. I was able to watch the repairman remove the screws and cover and found ice buildup in the rubber water feed trough and also the water line frozen inside. So now every few weeks it quits making ice, I have to remove the cover and melt the obvious ice blockage in the rubber feed trough and the inlet water line nearby and it starts working again. I am curious as to whether this CAN be fixed or is it just a serious design flaw and others are experiencing the same.

• I originally reviewed this refrigerator a year ago on 9/29/18, when it was in our house for 24 hrs. This was not the refrigerator I ordered from a local dealer and my husband didn’t want to return it because it’s “just a refrigerator”. I wanted the water and ice dispenser next to each other, not in front of each other.A year later, I can honestly say this is the worst appliance I have ever owned! We only replace appliances when they break, so unfortunately I’m gonna have to deal with this one for awhile. The shelves on the door are plastic and adjustable, but the glass shelves in the fridge are not. When you open the refrigerator door, hold onto it, because it flops open if you let it go. The ice maker ALWAYS drips water/ice. If you get ice, about 5 minutes later a piece of ice will fall out of the dispenser onto the floor(every time).The catch tray always has water in it. We have actually placed a towel in the catch tray under the water and ice dispenser. The water dispenser in front of the ice dispenser is a big design flaw to me. Depending on the size of the cup, when you try to get ice it will hit the water dispenser spraying water onto the floor. My son won’t even use the ice dispenser, he opens the door to get ice( so, what’s the purpose of having an ice maker on the outside of the door?) If I had not been at work when this refrigerator was delivered I would never have accepted it. Unfortunately, my husband did not know what refrigerator I had actually ordered. VERY dissatisfied with this refrigerator!!! Should have stood my ground with the hubby and returned it the Monday after it was delivered. The dealer swore this was the one I ordered, even though the one I wanted cost $400.00 more than this one. Wish I had saved the text message to the Local/independent/small dealer, that had the model number of the one I wanted! I don’t think I’ll ever purchase another whirlpool product. READ all the reviews before you buy this.

• Purchased the refrigerator in store at Lowes on Labor Day Weekend. Is attractive and does everything we ask of it. The ice maker is larger than others which is important to us. We take ice to sporting events. We always have a spare bag which save us time and money.

• I did my research and I still think I bought the right one..but 1. Fridge door racks are very cheap. I see them breaking easily in the future. 2. My old fridge, same make model but many years older, had more that one drawer in the freezer. I like drawers better that shelves so I sourced baskets to fit. Overall, so far food is cold in the fridge and frozen in the freezer. And I have ice. So all good!

• Our last (similar) Whirpool refrigerator had 2 SEPARATE paddles for ice & water. This allowed the water nozzle to be set farther back over the drip basin. There are always drips after dispensing water and this unit's bad design puts the water too close to the front and the drips constantly run down the front onto the floor. We are constantly wiping up the water. I actually designed a part that extends the water tray to catch the drips (see photos). Your designers need to make a proper OEM part to fix the drips and send it to customers. For $1800, we deserve better -- and go back to the old 2-paddle configuration. Otherwise, this is a great refrigerator. Thank you.

• I bought this fridge in February 2020 to upgrade the look of my kitchen appliances to stainless steel. Found it not as solidly built as my older whirlpool fridge. Drawers do not have rollers, hard to glide as it’s plastic rubbing on plastic rails. Water spills on the ground or on the freezer door as the spout to fill up your glass is not set inside the drip tray. The model I received has white plastic hinges on the bottom of the freezer and fridge doors make it stand out. Hinges should have been less visible or perhaps grey in colour to match the stainless steel doors. I bit loud when pulling water from tap to fill out the hose for making ice.

• I bought this refrigerator in July 2019 so not even a year old... I completely REGRET my decision. Normally Whirlpool products are AWESOME, but I really want my money back. My floor is always WET because ICE/WATER is always leaking or dripping. The ice maker freezes up and stops making ice. This has happened several times AND NOW the ice maker has STOPPED yet again. You have to hold the doors when you open because the doors flop open. I thought I was buying a quality fridge when I bought this refrigerator because Whirlpool has never let me down, but this is a LEMON of a refrigerator. Just don't walk away from this product... RUN!!! WORST REFRIGERATOR EVER!!!

• We bought this refrigerator in December of 2018. Since then, we have had numerous problems with the freezer. The freezer door has been replaced, the entire refrigerator had to be resealed, and finally, new molding for both the freezer and the refrigerator. The problem was a thick layer of ice forming in the ice maker door. Whirlpool sent 2 different appliance repairmen out to find the problem. Whirlpool will be replacing it. I am not going to purchase this model again. The other problem with this appliance is with the water and ice dispenser. The position of the controls make it extremely difficult to use. There is always water driping into the water receptacle as well as ice falling out after retrieving ice. Not a good buy for the price.

• I bought this refrigerator 4 years ago. Over the last 6 months I’ve had to have the ice maker repaired twice. The last time they said I need to have the entire door replaced for over $1000. After each repair the ice maker would work for about 1 month. Because the ice maker is in the door the entire door must be replaced per the repairman sent by Whirlpool. Seems to be a very poor design. Very disappointed in the Whirlpool response as well.

• Cheap plastic drawers, ice maker dispenses slushy ice along with the cubed iced. Somewhat noisy fan when running. It does make good ice fairly fast- that’s the only good thing about this one. I’m planning on exchanging for a different model hoping it is better quality. Had a Whirlpool Conquest for 20 yrs - way better quality back then. So sad they have cheapened everything in this fridge these days.

I’m so disappointed with quality control this new product, loud noise, interior trim scratch and touch up, also around refrigerator door not seal properly, two doors touched each other in between. Because all that’s they had to replaced it three times,….

• The ice tray keeps cracking when the tray twists to get the ice out. I have replaced the unit at least five times and the tray cracks after about a month or two. On one of these cracks, a plastic piece from this cracked tray broke off into my ice. Which ended up in my daughters drink whick she almost swallowed. I have contacted Whirlpool about this problem thru their web site but have not recieve any response.

• I waited 6 months for this and totally disappointed. Never thought that there would not be legs on the refrigerator of a mechanism on the wheels to stop the rolling. I finally had a repairman put wood shims under the wheels. The only probably is I can’t move the refrigerator now. So if there’s a leak or if I wanted to clean behind it I can’t move it. Whirlpool specs never mentioned this which is a flaw in the design. I spoke with numerous people at whirlpool but to no avail. I asked to change refrigerator for one that has feet and can be moved when necessary and I would pay the difference but all I got was that it’s not under the warranty..
