  • We bought this Whirlpool to replace our Samsung that wasn’t even 4 years old. Samsung refunded our money because of the many issues others have. We chose Whirlpool because they have been in the appliance industry along time. This model here has so much storage! And we love the soda compartment! Door shelves are big, deep & wide. Love the duel ice maker & the fact that if you don’t need so much ice you can turn the one off in the freezer compartment and use it as extra freezer storage for food. I find the freezer to be very roomy and the pizza compartment is nice! Have it divided in 4 compartments seems to work for me. I can store my meats accordingly. And the middle slot is nice for frozen vegetables or juice. And this stainless steel is really fingerprint proof!

  • This is actually my 3rd one. I purchased my first one last year and when delivered the inside had some out of alignments, so they put in to replace. When the replacement came, we started having trouble with the top ice maker leaking and freezing underneath the ice bucket and dripping water inside the refrigerator. We dealt with this for the rest of the year having 2 different repairmen coming out numerous times, replacing basically everything that they could possibly think of to replace. Finally, At the end of the year, Whirlpool agreed to replace the refrigerator. Delivered on the last day of the year and I had great hopes for the new 2020 model. Started out fine, but nope, same issue is happening. Haven’t called Whirlpool to report due to the coronavirus plus, i know it will be the same scenario and just want a different model. I bought this for the dual ice makers (no problem so far with the bottom and didn’t have problems with the other bottom one) I originally had an LG and had no problem out of it until the compressor went out after 8 years. I went with Whirlpool to have easier access to getting parts and repairs. Didn’t know it would be a consistent thing on getting repairs. As for the refrigerator as a whole, it is nice looking, inside is very nice and roomy and I do love the sliding shelf. I originally loved that the ice bin was in the door allowing extra room inside, but now, I don’t know if that was a smart idea. I did research before I bought and most of the reviews at original buy was good. I do remember seeing a review that seemed to have the same issues but more positive than negatives. I hate being a negative but I have had absolutely no luck with this one. I just wish Whirlpool would have given me the opportunity to pick a different refrigerator/style that was along the same price point. I am giving quality and performance a poor rating due to the problems with the ice maker or whatever has caused the issues. I hope Whirlpool actually reads this and makes contact to replace (not send repairmen, been there and done that many, many times with the last one) and offer to replace with a different model. I know it won’t happen, but it would be nice if they did!

  • I've only had this Whirlpool Refrigerator for about 2 weeks. Has plenty of space for my household of 4. This is very well lit inside! I comes with 5 door shelves but has a space for 1 more. I called customer service and was transferred over to parts. Very smooth transition. Was NOT passed from one person to another to another. The wait time from the first of the call to end of call was probably no more than 5 minutes. I received the shelf I ordered, one day ahead of the expected date! YAY! I've not had any issues with the refrigerator since beginning of operation. I did follow the instructions to a 'T'! No abnormal sounds outside of regular refrigerator sounds. I hear the ice drop in the bins. Otherwise very quiet. NO dripping of water or problems with the iceUp to this date I am a happy customer! I do recommend buying a warranty. These refrigerators are too expensive to have to throw way 2-3 years down the road because of repairs.

  • It was definitely an upgrade from what I had. I love how roomy the fridge is. The doors keep open, and the slide out drawer is so handy! Would be nice if it came out further but it's great for holding baking dishes for party platters. The ice maker is fairly quiet and makes ice pretty quickly. I've opted to only use the door ice maker wihich is plenty for me and my fiance. My only complaint with this fridge is how fast the water comes out (not as fast as I've seen others). The freezer is also very roomy too! I like that it comes out all the way to access everything easily. The pizza storage is very cool! Ive used it store flat bags of various leftovers I love this!!

  • The fridge is great and fits our needs very well. Hubby loves the extra ice maker for filling coolers. My only disappointment is it took 3 being delivered before we got one with a minimal dent. The first one was very badly damaged, presumably by a forklift. The second had a very noticeable dent right below the ice maker.

  • Excellent appliance so far (We have only had it one week).

  • I really like my new refrigerator, but I am having an issue with the upper ice maker. The refrigerator is only 57 days old and I have had the repair person out 4 times for the same reason. They have replaced the upper valves and now the entire ice maker and it still is having issues. When the ice cubes eject it fills with water (as it should) but water cascades down into the ice bucket and underneath it freezing sometimes the water is found inside the refrigerator on the large pull out drawer and sometimes on the floor. I have finally looked up possible problems on the internet since I am not getting anywhere with the repair people and it states that there could be an issue with a loose line or a crimp in the line or possibly an intake valve. I have tried calling Whirlpool regarding this and I am left on hold for over 50 minutes before being disconnected. Beginning to wonder if I have a LEMON refrigerator on my hands. I would surely think that I am not the only one that has had this problem. The refrigerator has 2 ice makers so we never run out of ice, which I love. Wide deep drawers, so much better than a side by side. I just thought by now that Whirlpool would have worked on a solution to prevent this. So, yes, I am disappointed in this current issue. If this keeps on happening, I may need to get Whirlpool to send me a new refrigerator. Should not be having issues so soon after receiving it.

  • Going on 2 months with our new fridge and so far so good. We are enjoying the extra cubic feet over the old model. Would have liked a separate butter dish storage in either door. Sometimes ice from lower maker will fall behind storage bin and can be difficult to remove. Freezer storage is very good. Sometimes condensation build up on upper area of freezer drawer. Ice/water dispenser is a bit louder than we were used to, but not a big deal. Lighting is great and we enjoy the dual ice makers. Door storage is ample. Nice design details on the shelves. It is difficult to rearrange the shelves on the upper drawer of the freezer compartment. Overall we are pleased with our purchase.

  • I bought this fridge about 2 weeks ago. I needed a fridge to fit a 70x36 inch space, and this fridge fits perfectly, with about 1-2inches space all around. I love the air and water filter features - super easy to change out. The shelves are modular and I love the one shelf that folds in half to fit tall bottles, like wine. Because there is a smaller veggie drawer in the middle, the two side veggie drawers are smaller than I'm used too, but still fits everything I need like a large salad mix box. The middle drawer fits 2 cases of San Pellagrino waters. The freezer has a hidden ice maker which is nice when we have extra quests. But when we don't need, we keep it off and it is extra storage space for food. I love the pizza pocket in the freezer. It was awkward to store our frozen pizzas in the old fridge. I do miss having a dairy/egg shelf on the door with a lid. I wish the exterior water dispenser was taller to fit water bottles. It fits regular glasses nicely.

  • We bought our refrigerator at Lowes over a year and a half ago. When the deliverymen were unloading it they scratched the left side. They said they would leave it and return with a new one as soon as it got in. For the next five weeks or so we had an awesome refrigerator. No problems what so ever. I wish we would have kept it scratch and all. Since our current undamaged on the outside refrigerator arrived it has been a nightmare. The water dispenser started leaking almost right away and that was the beginning of a long saga of poor manufacturing, lousy customer service and incompetence. I have had two different repair companies work on this refrigerator in the past year and a half. Understanding that COVID came around about the start of this but it really played no part in the problem or process. So don't try to blame this on the virus because no vaccine is going to fix this problem. A local repair company came out the first time and replaced some tubing and something else to deal with the leaking water dispenser problem. The repairman explained this was going to be a problem for awhile because in the making of this refrigerator they rerouted the tubing and it is what is causing the dispenser to leak. He also said if this goes on for awhile I should I should try to convince Whirlpool to replace the refrigerator. Seemed to fix it but in several weeks we were back to the same problem and now it was also leaking from the ice maker into the main compartment. Whirlpool switched repair companies to another company out in another city 100 miles away. That makes sense I guess where they're from. This problem took several visits where they replaced parts in the water dispenser, ice maker, replaced the complete ice maker, seal from the ice maker to the ice bucket, a computer board and a fan and probably some other parts I can't remember. Not long after their final trip it all started again. During that time I had two repairmen tell me it should probably just be replaced but they were told to repair what they thought was wrong. It wasn't but a week or two and all of the leaking was back, freezing water under the ice bucket and around the seals. To add to it, a new thing with the lights in the freezer and main compartment started where one day it's on and the the next it's off. The only good news was the fan was no longer making any noise so yeah there was progress there. But that was just an annoying noise. Once again the out of town company came out and again diagnosed the problems and said they would be back when the parts came in. After more than two months I hadn't heard from them so I called and called until I finally got so one on the line. I found out they rarely if ever answered the phone in the afternoons so that took weeks as well. They claimed to have not received the parts and would get back to me. I didn't hear from them so I called Whirlpool again. They confirmed lack of parts and reordered. Finally after another call to Whirpool the repair company finally called and said they had the parts and set an appointment. The day of the appointment and one hour before they should have been here I called to find out if they were coming because I didn't get there notification call that they repair man was coming. Guess What? They informed me that now they were missing parts ...again. I called Whirlpool again explained the whole story again (because apparently no one ever takes notes and puts them in the computer) and asked for a replacement. They told me they couldn't just replace the refrigerator because no repairman had told them it was unfixable. What????? Then they said they would schedule an appointment and get back with me. When the person got back with me they said they were sending an email authorizing me to get my own repairman. I have tried multiple including The first local company and the receptionist told me they might not be able to. Either way they assured me they would try. Apparently they couldn't for some reason and never called me back. Mind you I used this same company on multiple occasions for an older refrigerator in my last house. I tried a couple of others but no luck until I finally have one coming next Friday. Let me add this. Whirlpool did extend the original warranty by six months and have offered to pay for some of the repairs when someone finally comes back out. Problem is the warranty extension was basically useless as no one ever made it to my house to even touch the refrigerator anytime during that extension. I'm not sure if this email thing even does anything beyond a repair. Honestly it's all pretty ridiculous at this point. Who knows how this is going to turn out? I surely have no confidence it will be favorable at this time. Not much for superstitious gestures but I have my fingers crossed because at the end of the day I truly just want a refrigerator that works as it should. Seriously at this point I really wished we kept the scratched refrigerator or returned it and bought a different brand. I would have only given one star for performance but I really think besides all of the issues I've experienced Whirlpool makes a fine refrigerator. I've had many over the years. Just not this one. The problem is I have my confidence in Whirlpool refrigerators has taken a serious hit. Pretty sure I will be looking at a different brand next time if this one never gets fixed. Since this started I bought my third set of Whirlpool Washer and Dryer which I truly love.

  • I received this fridge at my home in May 2023, and since then, I have been facing multiple issues with it. I have already had SEVEN going on EIGHT technicians come to my house to identify the problem, but none of them have been able to provide a solution. The fridge keeps freezing my food and has excessive condensation on the seals. If I don't clean it every day, mold starts to grow, WHICH IS A SEVERE FOOD SAFETY ISSUE! My warranty expires in May, and I was informed that if the technicians are unable to diagnose the problem, I would have to pay out of pocket for any future visits. TELL ME HOW THAT MAKES SENSE!!!! I WAS SOLD A DEFECTIVE UNIT! IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX IT!! I regret purchasing this fridge, and I'm writing this review to caution others against making the same mistake. I advise you NOT TO BUY this fridge!

  • This was delivered two weeks ago. It came minus a shelf, Ice maker gasket flimsy, Top icemaker not working properly And freezer door gasket, not sealing. I have this same refrigerator in my other house and it did not arrive in this condition. Repair man was sent a week later and he had to order parts and will be back in another week. New item should not have these many issues. Quality control Is not what it used to be. I hope these are the only issues and this runs as good as my Other one that I have had for six years. When it works, it is a great refrigerator. Lots of storage space and dual Icemakers.

  • We are very, very happy with our new Whirlpool fridge so far. This is the first time we've had one with the french doors. I love the pull out party platter tray and the small beverage drawer as well. We have plenty of space for our groceries now. The best feature though I think is the 2 ice makers. We go thru alot of ice so having the 2 is helpful. The other wonderful feature is that I can put my RTIC mugs (30 and 40 oz) under the water/ice dispenser without having to tilt it at all. They fit in there perfectly!!!! And there's room in the freezer to put cookie sheets/pans when I make chocolates. I can lay them flat and close the drawer with no problem. The only downside so far is the occasional high pitched sound from the compressor. I was told it's due to the energy efficiency that it makes that noise. It's not horrible nor very loud it's just a new noise to us compared to our old fridge.

  • This36” refrigerator exceeded our expectations for the design. Our fresh vegetables are in the wide drawer. I can see everything, so I know what we need to use. The shelf above pulls out so we can access jars with ease. The door shelves are huge! We can keep bag cheeses upright snd have a separate drawer for meats and one for cheeses. It arrived for the busy holidays. I was amazed at the convenience of it all from the freezer ice drawer where we keep spare ice to the section in front of the freezer drawer where I don’t have to dig for things I need available. Even for entertaining volume, it was a jewel. We switched from a six foot commercial refrigerator that died. I love Whirlpool quality in all the appliances.

  • It works, but for the price tag it shouldn't fall apart like it has. Just feels cheap. The sliding tray drifts out and won't stay in place. The vegetable drawer's track wheel popped off and you can't just pop it back in. (Just falls out again) The handle on one side is loose and rattling, tried to tighten the screws but they're stripped and just spin freely. The button/lever you push for water and ice is very hit and miss, you have to push it in a very particular way. It works well and a nice design but these little issues every single day just drive me crazy when you spend over $2,500 on something.

  • Have had this frig approx 2 months now. Interior design utilizes space well. Exterior surface doesn't show finger prints as easily as our last frig. Top icemaker overfills spills water - ice on interior of icemaker. We have since learned the top icemaker being defective is a common problem and the part is way backordered. I cannot even remove it ice bin from the door. Not sure if it frozen in or something else. The bottom ice maker makes ice painfully slow. We were gone for 8 days, ice maker was on - we are empty nesters so no one was using ice - and the ice bin was only 2/3 full when we got home. Water trickles slowly out of the water dispenser and even removing the filter doesn't help. If they corrected these 3 problems, I would give it a 5 star rating.

  • Purchased this last month and absolutely love it. Previous refrigerator was also Whirlpool but a sid by side we purchased in ‘08 with our new house. One of the best features is the in the door ice maker that doesn’t take up space inside the refrigerator. The shelf and the pizza pocket in the freezer was also a great selling point and comes in very useful.

  • Bought this refrigerator after the failure of an LG French Door Model. Our initial review is that this is a great refrigerator! The bins in the door are amazingly spacious. Dual ice makers were a surprise. There are a lot of thoughtful design elements with various shelves and bins. Sadly one of the crisper bins front drawers broke - the small plastic piece that held it on broke - seems like a poor design choice to use a small plastic piece at such a critical point as the drawer handle. Every time we open the doors though we are pleased with our purchase! The process to break in a new water filter is a bit involved and could be improved - but the ice/water in the door is very convenient. The finish on this model is an improvement as there is very little to wipe off compared to other refrigerators we have had in the past. Ratings are based on just a few weeks of use. Make sure your installer tidies up the ice maker supply line and power cord - ours did not and when I got them settled the refrigerator was able to be moved a few more inches closer to the wall.

  • Arrived with a dent in the door & crack filler inside on the track/shelf holder that screws into the back of the fridge. This is commonly used to fill cracks in homes...why in a refrigerator is beyond me. Was a nightmare to remove it all. Finally got the door levels & the handles aligned only to then have 2 door that didn't lay flush above the handles. Water dispenser doesnt accommodate large water bottles & spout sits way out from the press pad....no catch try for overflows so it runs all down the front of your freezer drawer. Whirlpools reputation in the appliance arena is the best & would buy again- think we got a lemon which is now more hassles/time as it will need to be replaced. I called Whirlpool who offered to send a technician out- she could not tell me whether there'd be a charge or not!!!

  • My husband and I purchased this refrigerator because he swears by Whirlpool for all of appliances. We had the refrigerator delivered and set up and a few months later all the lights went out. Called and a service fella came out and replaced, I believe he said a mother board. We have now had the refrigerator for about 2.5 yrs and and again, the lights are going out. This time it’s just the top lights and the lights in the bottom freezer. Come on guys. I love my refrigerator. I went and bought all the matching kitchen appliances to match because I love my refrigerator. Please tell me there is something that is simple that I can do to fix the light issue. Please...

  • We purchased this fridge because our last one, a Samsung, died suddenly. It has a nice size and layout inside, although I find I miss the middle drawer that my previous fridge had.i do like the deep shelves in the right door a lot. I like the in door and freezer drawer ice access. The adjustable shelves could use a little more height availability. Our unit came missing a left door shelf, but the store gave us a credit for the error. The biggest issue is that every time you open and shut the door, it makes a sound like an old landline phone ringing softly. That is pretty annoying. Still, it’s off to a good start, and we have trust in the brand.

  • I’ve had my refrigerator for about a week now and I’m in love. Not only is it pretty on the inside and out it’s completely functional. I personally don’t like having the ice maker set into the refrigerator taking up valuable space, so the fact that it is in the door tickles me lol. Additionally, the refrigerator temp is set to the manufacturer recommendations and it’s perfect. Food/drinks are ice cold in both the fridge and freezer. Two of my favorite features about this fridge is the dual ice maker and the pizza storage. It has an ice maker in the door and one in the freezer which is perfect for a large family like mine who loves using ice, & it comes with an ice scoop. The pizza storage is vertical set into the door of the freezer so clunky boxes of pizza aren’t in the way and you don’t have to keep them in the deep freezer way in the garage. Love love love this fridge. Another functional feature I love is the adjustable shelving in the top fridge. Can configure it to fit almost everything. Totally worth what we paid for it and we got it on sale, probably would have paid full price if I had to.

  • We got this a couple of months ago. Works great. In-door features (water, ice, etc.) work very well. Interior is easy to adjust as needed. Love the freezer on the bottom.

  • We bought this at Lowes. It was delivered shortly thereafter. Great service & set up. In door water dispenser leaked. Tried all suggestions, still leaked. Called Lowes and they set up replacement within a week. Replacement had dents in door (could have dealt with that), but also the largest drawer was almost impossible to pull out/slide in. (Kind of suspicious this was someone else’s “reject”?) We tried everything to make it work. Called Lowes. Since it’s under 28 days old, will not fix, only replace AGAIN. Scheduled replacement again within a week. This one is AWESOME! I love this fridge. It is an inch or 2 bigger than our other fridge, but has SO much more space! I love the finish and love the fridge. Drawers slide so easily. I was so apprehensive about making the right decision. We’ve only had #3 about a week, but so far love it. 2 icemakers awesome and having the ice maker inside the left door instead of in the main part of fridge is great. That one is small, but makes plenty of ice, and the main ice maker in freezer makes plenty. In fact, I think you can turn the freezer icemaker off and use that space if you want, then turn on when you need it.
