• I bought this in March 2020 and I loved it. Fast, efficient, and easy to clean. In March 2021, the large burner burned out. It was repaired under KitchenAid warranty. In March 2023, the large burner died again. Fortunately we had an extended warranty and it was fixed again. Now in July 2025, the same BURNER DIED AGAIN. And now the PARTS ARE UNAVAILABLE.. It's the only large burner on the cooktop rendering it basically useless. I am so angry that it can't be repaired and it's only 5 years old. And the reviews on the newer 30" induction cooktop aren't very good. Might need to replace with another manufacture. Very disappointed.

• Honestly, I really wish I could trade this out for a different model. I typically love the KitchenAid brand, but in our new house, we are not a fan of the cooktop or the refrigerator. This is our second induction cooktop. At our last house we bought Frigidaire. We thought we were stepping up in quality, but it was just more expensive for less user-friendly. The buttons are more finicky, the hot plates are so close together that it's tough having multiple pots/pans going at one time, and you can only use one larger pot, while the other four hot plates are quite small. So pots are often touching and having to partially slide off of their hot plates to make room. Overall, my family does not enjoy cooking on this cooktop. As soon as it's feasible, we will buy a different one.

• Purchased after my 3 year old cooktop had an unwarranted part break that was not replaceable. Whirlpool offered a small discount to purchase a new one. Purchased the new one and had to wait 1 month to have it installed and the old one removed. Why Whirlpool/ Kitchenaid would make a replacement that had different interior dimensions is beyond me. They installers couldn’t install as they weren’t prepared to cut 1”x 30” to fit the new one. The installers called Whirlpool and I was told I would be refunded the $140, but that never came. The new one is louder as it has an internal fan, and also makes noise on all burners when it is heating up a pot or pan.

• So far I love my new cooktop. It’s heats up fast. I am still learning on how hot each temperature setting is and that’s a learning curve. You cannot sit anything on top of the glass where the controls are or you will get a beeping sound. Took me a couple times to figure out where and why it was alarming. Mostly I was setting a pan on it and it beeped, but once I sat a damp kitchen towel on it and it alarmed as well. So I try and be aware to not set anything on that area of the cooktop which is a little annoying but I get why. A couple of times after turning on a second burner, the first burner that was already on and being used turned off. It beeps when this happens so you can quickly see that it’s turned off. Not sure what’s happening there. Overall I love it though. It’s beautiful and sleek and looks so much better than a slide in range.

• I have bought A LOT of Kitchen Aid appliances over the years - across four different homes, and have typically been happy. In our last home we had the induction cooking/oven combo and I loved it. So when we moved I immediately replaced the standard electric cooktop in this out with this induction cooktop. First off, the layout of the 'burners' is ridiculous. If you have a large pan on the center burner, you can't put anything on the smaller back burners, and can barely fit the smallest pan on the front burners. Super inconvenient. But worst of all is the middle large 'dual zone' burner is not dual zone. When you put a large pan on, only the center heats up. Fine for boiling water but when you are actually trying to cook eveything comes out uneven as you have to keep pushing whatever you are cooking to the middle - the real heat never gets to the outer part of the pan. Had service come out to look at it and they are telling me it is designed that way - that the outer part of the pan is not supposed to heat up? Seriously?? I will continue to pursue this but given the hassle I would say you should look elsewhere for an induction top.

• I bought this and love the technology. The controls need to be modified. I know we live in a world of touch screen, but these touch buttons coupled with the beautiful glass allow fingerprints to be left at every push, especially since you have to tap multiple times to raise the controls up or down. Locking the panel requires you to keep your finger on at least 3-5 seconds. So there's a lot of finger grease on the stove. This isn't a phone where your hands are relatively clean while using. You're cooking and many times have spooge all over your hands. Maybe I'm obsessive but I'm constantly wiping the fingerprints off the glass. Good old fashioned knobs or other controls not embedded in the glass would make this a superstar appliance.

• I accidently dropped a jar on my old electric cooktop and it cracked. I spent some time deciding if I should replace it with an electric or an induction cooktop. I decided to go with induction. I purchased this cooktop and had it installed about 3 weeks ago. i was asked by the installer to check if the cutout space was appropriate for the cooktop. This was a bit of a challenge since my old cooktop was still in place but with the help of a friend and comparing the old cooktop installation guide with the new cooktop it appeared to be adequate and thankfully the new cooktop fit perfectly. I am still get somewhat used to using induction cooking versus an electric cooktop. The enclosed instructions are not real clear as to what 5,6 7 mean when you turn on the burner. If any liquid is spilled on the cooktop whether you have a burner on or not, a pinging alarm goes off until the spill is wiped off at the area dries off. A good safety feature but not sure I read about that in the manual. Cooking wise, it appears to cook quickly. I have used it for canning and hot water baths and it workes fine. I also have used it for some frying and also cooking stews. I was aware that the cookware needed to be compatible. I checked all my cookware with a magnet. The lock feature is a nice addition as I can clean the stove top with a cleanser without the alarm going off for moisture. I haven't tried all the features yet-like simmer. It may take awhile for me to get used to all of the features but so far I am satisfied with my purchase

• I took delivery and installation in December 2025 with no issues. The cooktop developed a 4 inch hairline crack in March 2026. The KitchenAid repair technician verified the defect and secured a replacement ceramic top. The technician damaged the electronic components during the replacement and the cooktop has been unserviceable now for 14 days. With additional parts being identified as defective yesterday the cooktop will likely be out of service about 4 weeks.

• I was not informed that kitchenaid pans were required for assist features on cooktop. I also received a link for a bonus offer for 3 pans when I registered my cooktop and signed up for extended warranty. When I called I was told I had to go through Spencer’s, where I purchased. They had no information on the offer even though I sent them a copy of the link. I feel it is false advertising. My model qualified and was registered within the dates required

• It was the only induction I could fine with the five burners. I would have preferred to have a large burner in the front , at least one. It seems strange that both of them are on the back side of the cooktop. Other than that, I love it. OH darn it all, they know have one with a double use side for a grill and the other side has a large one in front and small one in the back and still the big pot in the middle. It’s exactly what I couldn’t find.

• This is the second Kitchenaid Induction cooktop that we have purchased. The last one started to fail and the cooktop and parts were not longer available. The new cooktop has 5 burners instead of 4. This makes it difficult to use several pans at the same time. It has 1 large burner, 2 small, and 2 slightly larger burners. I much preferred the 4 burners - 1 large, 2 medium, and 1 small. But I do like induction.

• I chose an induction cooktop for environmental reasons, but I have to say i really miss cooking on a gas cooktop. Although I like the clean look and ease of cleaning, I am finding fault with this technology. I have tried several times but cannot get a pot to boil on the large center spot. The other burners take long to cook items as well. I have the appropriate cookware so can't figure out the issue.

• DO NOT BUY from KitchenAid. I have a 3 year induction cooktop that the control module went out and am told I can have 20% off to purchase a new one. The parts to repair are no longer available therefore the cooktop after 3 years is not functional. KitchenAid does not stand behind their products. Do NOT BUY from them. $2,000 basically lit on fire.

• We moved into a new unit in a new development and have this cooktop. Two of the burners did not work. Don’t you think the technician would have check the unit to make sure it was fully operational before he left? Then it took 3 weeks for another technician to come and fix it. Do yourselves a favor and don’t buy KitchenAid products.

• New unit and one burner already went out and trips gfci breaker, replaced 2 modules and still doesn’t work. The new parts will take several weeks to get, considering we are a family of 7 and depend on this unit and I am certainly not happy with the customer service or the quality of the unit. I would not recommend buying.

• Seams to work ok. It was a replacement for a defective kitchen cook top. Forgive me for my sourness but between cooktop, fridge, and microwave all kitchen aide all purchased at same time all has had issues. My biggest complaint is Kitchen aide hasn’t completed what they said they would do or what was promised

• Bought this to replace old Kitchenaid that cracked. Couldn’t get it to turn on at first. Found out none of my pans worked on it. Had to buy complete set of new ones. Added express I hadn’t planned on. Seams to work fine now. Whole kitchen is all Kitchen aid appliances.

• Working well so far. One thing which I recognized is the heat control at low output setting. The heat control looked on-off control, not continuous output. This is unexpected thing. However regarding the performance for cooking, this would be no problem.

• I bought this to replace a 12 year old Kitchenaid 4-element Sensor Induction Cooktop that still worked like new but was broken when a drinking glass fell on it. This new cooktop fit into my countertop, was easy to wire in, and works great!

• Bought it a month ago and it took forever to get installed. The processes were overcomplicated and contradicting. Not to mention once it finally was able to be installed, the installers punctured the side of my cabinet with a couple screws.

• I installed this about a month ago. The best feature for us is the capacitive controls that make cleanup orders of magnitude easier. The ability to automatically set zones for simmer or boil or warm is most convenient.

• Have this induction cooktop is the closest thing to Gas. Being able to regulate the temperature so quickly is great. If you can have Gas get Induction.

• The cooktop heats really fast. The auto feature doesn't always seem to work right though as far as keeping a simmer. Its easy to clean and looks great.
