  • I bought the double oven 4 element induction cooktop. Bigger oven is a good convection oven but too low to the ground. I have ruined many a dinner when when the raw food slips off the pan as i get on my hands and knees to either put in or take out food. As for the induction top , yes it is fastt method of cooking but why does the stove have to always complain when a little boiling water splashes out of tge pot. But say not one beep when a roasting pan is placed on the stove and unknowingly the element is turned on. The empty Pot gets so hot the glass top begins to melt. I tryvto take the pot off thecstove. The glass behaves like Tacoma Bridge . Some glass adheres permanently to bottom of pan. And the "off switch" is as hot as Death Valley and won't register my finger. to the induction. Luckily the fuse box is the kitchen.

  • The touch buttons are not very responsive. Sometimes I have to push a button several times just to get it to turn it on or to change the temperature. The top is very sensitive to water. Even if the cooktop is locked, when I wipe it with a wet cloth to clean it, it starts beeping and I can’t stop it and have to wait for it to stop on its own before I am able to use it. It shuts down for a while when a pan boils over and gets the top wet, then I have to dry it and wait for it to reset so I can turn the burner on again. I like how fast the power booster is to heat. Unfortunately, this thing irritates the heck out of me.

  • I bought this oven opened the box and was surprised that the burner specifications on the website are inaccurate. It lists the right rear burner as 8". There are two 6" burners in the back. Whirlpool should really ensure this critical feature of the cooktop is accurately described.

  • I’ve had this induction cooktop for a month now and love it. Pots/pans heat quickly and the temperature precision is awesome. Before, I would have to account for the amount of time the glass cooktop would take to heat or cool, but the control now is much more accurate. I love using my enameled cast iron here - it works SO much better. I also enjoy the safety features (will turn off automatically if the pot is removed for a significant period of time, won’t fully turn on if the pot doesn’t support induction, etc). I’m super happy with this purchase.

  • We are always very careful with our pots and pans, but we are finding that the glass top scratches too easily. We are disappointed with that. We also found that when water comes to a boil and you turn it down, the burner cycles on and off every couple of seconds. It doesn't just simmer at a lower temperature like a conventional burner, otherwise we are happy with the cooktop. If I had to choose another induction cooktop, I would have picked one that doesn't scratch so easily.

  • i like the cooktop but looks like the glass scratches very easily i already have a couple os scracthes and i barely use it

    carmelo10/06/2021 01:30 AM

  • Have been cooking with induction for years. But now I have this wonderful four pot cook top to use. However it did not have a manual on how to operate the many features it has. I'm hoping a product use manual can be provided soon.

    Chef03/30/2025 08:39 AM

  • The stove looks good but in low light it’s hard to see the controls there is no back light for the controls just red number levels after u find them. Also audible alarms are hard to hear. The stove cooks good

    Phil11/10/2022 04:38 AM

  • Two months since purchase, no major problems. Had to discard a few pots due to lack of induction compatability.

    Doug01/06/2022 09:16 AM

  • I like the induction and it heats well. No complaints there. I find the controls to not be intuitive and they feel “sluggish” — slow to respond. In an attempt to make it feel high tech all they succeeded in doing was making it feel slow. I’m also pretty sure it’ll be the first part to break. Gimme dials and real inputs. But it’s what came with the house, so I’ll ride it till it dies. Without an overhead light I’m not sure how anyone would be able to “read” the stovetop. The circles indicating the induction zones are nearly invisible. I do have one such light in my hood, fortunately. I also lament the lack of two burners next to each other of equal diameter, as someone who makes pancakes and uses a griddle.

    Sdshaver11/21/2024 03:20 AM

  • I had to buy this because 10 year old Whirlpool induction cooktop, which still works just fine, cracked its glass top during cleaning. I prefer the older one for several reasons: the controls are easier to read and operate, displayed in a much larger font; the small burners are in front; and i had to have the hole in countertop enlarged to fit the new. Reading from an EMF meter show higher readings in the new. I will be getting a lead shield to protect myself.

  • Get the extended warranty, you'll probably need it! Mine errored out after only a couple years and no help! It also stops cooking everytime a little liquid boils over! So frustrated! It heats up super fast when it works!

    Julesc5608104/06/2024 08:17 AM

  • mostly happy with the induction cooktop, but wish I had selected one with separate, contrasting knob controls . The gray on black is hard to see, and pressure sensitive hard to control, especially for my male parter!

    roxrb07/29/2024 03:22 AM

  • Love how fast this heats liquid and food!! But the touch buttons are very sensitive and just wiping it clean is tough!

    Jenny08/19/2021 12:34 AM

  • Bought to replace my older electric cook top that came with the house I bought. Gas was my first choice but not available. I love to cook and studied all apparent choices. Induction seemed my only alternative. And this Whirlpool looked like the best available choice. However, after using for a few months a few things bother me about this cooktop 1. The layout if the burners is kind of wacky and should be re-designed. 2. the burners are hard to center on as the center mark is covered by the pot or pan using it. 3. The heating elements appear to be about half the size of what's indicated on the glass top. (I think this causes the pan warping on the special cookware I had to buy for this cooktop.) 4. Uneven heat from the elements. It's easy to see if you simply boil water. 5. I'm having trouble when sautéing and searing. The upper end of the heating range needs more precise control. Instead of just 7,8,9 there should be 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5. (Kind of would like to see the heat control analog rather than digital.) 6.The special options on the control panel are rather confusing. The two page user guide doesn't help much and should be expanded. Also a YouTube video using those features would be very helpful.

  • Complicated controls with poor operations manual and quite noisy.

    Wdog01/18/2025 04:33 PM

  • I replaced my electric cooktop for the whirlpool induction based on research as well as the recommendation from a friend. It has changed cooking for me. No more waiting for a pan to heat or pasta water to boil. Had to adjust some of my cooking habits, but we’ll worth it.

    marilynfree08/19/2021 10:24 AM

  • I have been working with it for about 1 week. I am still learning how fast it heats, which settings to use. I have not mastered all of it. It seems to do fine. I was worried about how to clean it, but it is really easy and looks so good!

    Barbara10/11/2023 09:14 AM

  • I purchased this stove top in January 2023. So far it has NEVER worked properly. We have repair technicians at our house at least 4 times already and we are waiting for parts to come in to repair the stove again!! Terrible experience

    Retired11/09/2023 08:19 AM

  • I bought this stovetop about 5 months ago. It works well but the controls on the top are a bit difficult to use. Sometimes pressing them does not activate them or sometimes it spins through the numbers very quickly.

    Randy2005/13/2023 12:13 PM

  • I bought this in February and I am just getting used to it. I love that it heats up so quickly and so far has been a great stove. The only drawback is how close the back burners are to each other.

    Cynthia03/15/2025 06:30 AM

  • I expected the induction elements to heat up faster than they do and the elements to cool down faster. The cooktop is nice and easy to clean even with spills. I find the touch buttons too sensitive and they activate when I am wiping the unit down. I don't think I would go the induction route again. Overall-it does what it is supposed to do and gave us an excuse to buy new induction compatible pans.

    Big Rog08/29/2024 11:25 PM

  • We have had a whirlpool induction cooktop in the past and enjoy this type of cooking. The lines showing where to place pans is very faint and difficult to see to center pans.

    Nonexistent12/18/2021 07:45 AM

  • Bought for 8 moths and broke the glass top accidently. Report to Customer Service and then technicians came to replace it with warranty
