• ❌❌❌❌❌ A Problem from Day One This refrigerator was delivered with a broken freezer vent and fragile plastic clips — we had to prop it up with a waffle box just to get cold water and ice. I reported the issue immediately even when I talked about the cooling in the fridge. However, they refused to take it back after placing food inside, despite it being less than 24 hours old, and they have a 15-day return policy that they did not uphold. Since delivery, the experience has been nothing but frustrating: I spent over two hours on the phone today, 9/3, and was transferred six times. No one was willing to listen to my request to return the fridge from day one. I placed a service order in July, and it’s now September with no technician dispatched, despite having an email from KitchenAid confirming the order. The freezer has been frosting over for months due to a faulty seal, necessitating regular cleaning of the bins and ice maker box. The fridge cools unevenly, freezing food in certain spots (top left two shelves). Eggs, freeze, Gatorade, containers of food, and dips. The build quality feels cheap and flimsy, with thin plastic parts instead of the solid construction expected from a premium brand. Customer service has been slow, dismissive, and unhelpful. They refuse to escalate, won’t take my contact information for follow-up, and only communicate via social media. Following a Facebook conversation about giving them the option to call me for faster information, they haven't replied. Even today, I was told again that the fridge “can’t be taken back” and that I would need to work through service, with no resolution offered, except that it would continue to get repaired if there were any problems. This is crazy after getting a brand new refrigerator. 💸 Save your money, choose another brand. I had fewer problems with my Samsung over 14 years than I’ve had with this KitchenAid in less than 90 days. I regret trusting Whirlpool/KitchenAid as a “high-quality” appliance company — don’t make the same mistake.

• The KitchenAid Side by Side Fridge with Panoramic LED lights is very impressive. This replaced our GE monogram that was 20 years old. The motor is very quiet. The fridge cooled up in about 1 hr. I like how you can control the temps with a push of a button. The inside is very sleek! Though it was the same size as our previous fridge, it seems smaller inside. The shelving is small and I’m not sure how to rearrange them, if they are able to. The pull out wood tray is very handy! My only gripe is the panel that you control the temp on feels like cheap plastic when I’m pressing it for water.

• This fridge is so stylish, and looks amazing in our garage - perfect for entertaining! It’s much larger than a standard fridge which allows for a lot more storage. The LED lights are a nice touch, and the chic “wooden” details are my favorite part. There are also stainless details on the front of each shelf which really creates a modern look. The installation was seamless and the water/ice machine work perfectly with no issues. Absolutely in love with this upgrade!

• We were in need of getting a fridge down the line, so when it came time to test out this KitchenAid we were excited! We previously owned a Samsung and it was a basic fridge compared to this one. This one has great temperature control and the delivery set up altogether took about an hour. The water filter and ice dispenser is a nice perk. You get cubed or crushed ice although the ledge that you push the ice and filtered water for has a high placement so you have to aim your cup a little higher. The right door is a little snug against our wall so we kind of wished the handlebars weren’t so aggressively huge, but we’ll manage! We aren’t able to open the door all the way and pull out all the trays because of the wall next to the door but it still works. The face plate panel on the ice cube and water filter seems a lil cheap with the plastic but the inside it looks pretty nice. The shelves are all glass and the trays are also moveable on the door which we like. So far we like it for what it is, just think some things could’ve been enhanced better.

• This fridge is attractive and gives a high-end first impression mostly due to the soft LED lighting on the interior and stylish wooden slide out tray. The exterior stainless steel is magnetic and fingerprint resistant, while the handles have a grooved design that also helps to hide any fingerprints. Inside the fridge there are 4 non height adjustable flat glass shelves, the wooden slide tray, and 3 lower bins, one with humidity control. The door has 5 bins which are height adjustable. The freezer side has 5 adjustable height shelves and 1 bottom bin, along with an in door ice maker bin and 3 non adjustable bottom bins on the door. Overall, they provide ample storage and I find that the spacing is well done such that everything feels organized. Some issues I encountered were related to packaging of the fridge. Though the delivery team was excellent and carefully handled it, the unit arrived with a dent in the top of one of the door. A more minor inconvenience was that the tape used inside the fridge to hold the Styrofoam packing left a lot of sticky residue that gave the appearance of scratches. These can be removed with orange oil glue solvent, but it takes some time and elbow grease. Lastly, one drawback in the design of the fridge is that the doors do not open a full 180 degrees, making it a bit difficult to insert and remove the drawer bins for cleaning, and causing some scratches to the inside of the door due to the tight fit. Overall, I'm pleased with the large storage capacity and layout of the interior shelves and bins. The cherry on top is the elegant lighting. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a stylish update to their fridge.

• This fridge is very spacious. The stainless steel handles feel very sturdy and give it a lux freel. We have had it for a month and so far it has been working perfectly. It does not make any noise outside of the occasional ice cube dropping. One thing to note is that the freezer has glass shelves, which are lovely but we have had an ice tray get frozen to one so be careful if you are putting anything wet in the freezer.

• Installed two weeks ago. Cooling is good. Spacious. Water dispenser is hard. Left side door rubs against the switch on the top that makes constant rubbing noise when operate the door. It is causing wear on the top of the door. Right side door comes in the way when we try to get the wooden serving tray. So the tray does not come out without us having to lift one side at an angle. So it defeats the purpose of having food to serve on the tray. Water dispenser is hard. You have to press hard to get water out. Service personnel from ABT(store) said that it is not fixable and we have to live with it. On the freezer side, you can see seperation of the inside panels. I suspect it is manufacturing defect. When I called for registration, I was offered a service contract at $3 a month but did not get confirmation for couple of days. So called again and I was quoted totally different monthly rate for extended warranty. I asked for confirmation, and learned that the quoted price was good for only two months and it would double after that. Why are they not honest the upfront? I am concerned that the freezer side inside panel is going to come apart in future. There should be better quality control/inspection.

• Purchased on holiday sale. Not bad for the price I paid, but KitchenAid used to be the best. I noticed quite a bit of cost cutting now being done. First the big handles used to be knurled but now are grooved. My other KitchenAids have the older style and no longer match the new handles. Second, the old brand badge on the door is now just an engraved name. The badge was nicer and really stood out. It cools great, but I hear the internal fan running most of the time. Water flow is cold but slow compared to previous fridge. Wish I could adjust that. Platinum interior is nice, but other model types with the same color interior feel more solid and heavyweight. This one feels very lightweight.

• This 28.7 cubic foot KitchenAid full depth side by side refrigerator is a major improvement over my old side by side. This refrigerator is quite appealing to look at. The handles are a premium look and have a nice feel and the wooden drawer is a premium touch. The interior space looks nice and is well lit with the LEDs. It fits a ton of food and provides easy access for my family to grab snacks and drinks, but the drawers don’t go past the door which is unfortunate. It seems to hold temps well and the compressor is quiet and runs infrequently. The selectable water dispenser is nice, but the controls feel a bit cheap. Overall, a solid product that could use some tweaks to make it much better.

• We have only had it for a month, but we are very pleased with our refrigerator choice. It has loads of room. The ice maker is fairly quiet, and being completely in the door, provides additional storage space in the freezer. It is vey well lit on the inside. It matches perfectly with our KitchenAid microwave and dishwasher. I really like the KitchenAid stainless steel; it looks like real stainless instead of a painted on imitation stainless finish.

• They came and set it up and then it was making a terrible noise and the drawers don’t roll as easy and there are no lights where the drawers are at the bottom which was very disappointed, but I’m more concerned about the noise they’re supposed to come out and check it. I had a KitchenAid refrigerator that I bought in 2004 and was very happy with it and I miss the old refrigerator. Love the baskets in the freezer. Love the butter dish compartment that I don’t have in the new one and it has no lights for the bottom drawers in the refrigerator

• This refrigerator is really awesome! It holds so much more than my old fridge. I also really like how the shelves and bins are set up so items are easy to find and stay organized. It is very quiet. It also got cold r8’ only a few hours when it was initially installed. I am not sure how energy efficient it is. The filtered water and ice are very convenient. It was really easy to set up the delivery and the delivery people were super nice..

• I recently bought this to replace an existing fridge that was here when we moved in. It was a whirlpool but not anything like my new Kitchen Aid! Even though it’s only a little deeper in size, the way it’s so thoughtfully set up gives me so much more room in both the fridge part and freezer. I am thrilled to be able to now see everything that’s in side with room to spare! Having the ice maker in the door allows for more shelves and that helps me with organizing. Highly recommend

• We purchased this refrigerator because we were told KitchenAid was top of the line for Whirlpool and we had made previous purchases of a range and microwave, which had issues after our purchase of the refrigerator. For the refrigerator, I do not like that there is not a specific covered "box" for eggs. And I do not like that the shelves do not adjust. Shame on us that we did not check that out when we were shopping. I don't like putting large food jars on the top shelf, but have no other choice; and I can't put my bottle of wine on the top shelf. and the rest of the shelves are small in height. Lastly, the lever that you need to push to get ice is very stiff. I almost feel like I'm going to break it and my husband really does not like how difficult it is to push. But, it looks lovely, it chills well and overall, we are glad we made the purchase.

• Our previous Kitchenaid fridge was 20yo. It was doing just fine but started making very weird noises off and on. Mostly like the compressor fan. Given its age, we decided to just go with a new fridge. Since our old kitchenaid lasted so long, we decided to get another. This one is such an huge upgrade for us! Both compartments are considerably larger than our old one but especially the freezer. We do a lot of bulk buying, so I was so happy to see the freezer full of food from our old freezer with plenty of room left to add more. I love the lighting and the large adjustable fridge door bins. Oooh and the front of the door are magnetic! Our last one wasn’t so now I can hang more kid art on the front! The only minor complaints are that the main shelves are not adjustable, so our quart sized yogurt tubs won’t fit anywhere except the top shelf. Our old kitchenaid fridge had highly adjustable shelves so I was surprised these are all fixed. The autofill water feature is also a bit clunky to get to with the number of button presses it requires. This unit was also hard to find and our delivery date got pushed out by a month after our original delivery date being about one month after purchase. So I took close to 8 weeks for it to arrive. I guess there’s a shortage? Overall, super happy with this purchase! Hoping it serves us as well as our last kitchenaid fridge.

• Overall spacious refrigerator. Bottom drawer does not cool low enough to keep perishables. We were told to keep at least a 1" edge away from wall for all shelves in order for the cooling to reach the bottom drawer. This has not helped. Happy with other Kitchenaid appliances but this fridge has had problems, for both deliveries. First one had a sprayed substance in the freezer that was not washable. Second delivered, a dent inside the fridge. A several week saga to finalized, decided to live with the dent but would not purchase this fridge again.

• I got this last week and it is so beautiful with the stee, glass and wood interior, the lighting is beautiful and the outside is much nicer than I remember in the store. Once I saw this style I was hooked no more white interiors for me!! I was also happy with the fact that I didn't need to deal with a lot of features that could break and no Wi-Fi, I was looking for simple but this look takes simple to another level. The interior is so much bigger but just a bit bigger on the outside than my old one.

• We bought this to replace our 21 year-old Jennair side-by-side fridge. I hope we get as much use out of this KitchenAid as we did from our Jennair. I’ve only had it a month but so far I like it. A big difference is that the shelves are fixed and not movable but I’m finding that’s OK because the bins in the door are plenty large to accommodate the tall bottles. I particularly like that the icemaker is in the door and not in the freezer part and this creates more space in the freezer. So far, everything is working well. I am having trouble however trying to figure out what kind of filter this refrigerator takes. I’d like to have one on hand when it’s time to replace. Can anyone help me?

• I selected this model to replace my 21.5 year old whirlpool that died. Sadly I know they do not build them like before and so I will be lucky to see over 10 years use. Have had it for 3 weeks. Very happy with it so far, and mindful to keep objects away from airflow/sensor areas. Ice maker is wonderful, shelving good. Lots of bells and whistles.

• The engineers that designed the refrigerator side were asleep at the wheel. When you open the door to the widest point, you CAN NOT SLIDE OUT THE DRAWERS OR SHELVES EASILY. YOU NEED TO WIGGLE THEM UP AND DOWN TO PULL THEM OUT TO REACH THE FOOD IN THE BACK OR REMOVE OR JUST TO CLEAN THE BACK PART OF THE SHELVES.
