The WFP2715HC pedestal is supposed to be a match for the Inglis IFW5900HW washer, according to the official Whirlpool parts list. But its footprint is two inches shorter in depth, as I disgustingly found out after buying one. I was so astounded that I went to a retail store that had them on display on the showroom floor, to confirm that yes, I'd installed it correctly, and yes, it's apparently not supposed to line up as one would expect with the back of the washer's cabinet. Please see my annotated pictures. The awkward rear cantilever is more than just an aesthetic/cosmetic problem. The weight of the washer is designed to be supported where its frame has recess points for the leveling feet. Arbitrarily shifting these point loads two inches and just squashing the pedestal's spacer pads onto the washer's sheet metal is going to cause warping and eventual vibration trouble. Shame on Whirlpool for such a sloppy fitting product!

These are a waste of money if the point is to save your back (they’re ok for storage). the old duet pedestals had platform inserts and the drawers fully extended so you could set laundry baskets on them to empty and transfer clothes between machines. So less bending, better height. I saved my old duet inserts and they fit a bit lower... but since the drawers no longer fully extend, a laundry basket won’t fit on them! Very disappointed.

Saved 60 bucks a piece going directly to whirlpool. Received the pedestals in two days. Unfortunately one was damaged. Dent on the top of one bout n the middle. Wasn't chipped or unable to use. And because I put the washer and dryer side by side, I decided to use it, hidden anyway. Just excited to hook up the new front loaders to em. Hoping to get many years use out of them. Thanks whirlpool. Another addition to my whirlpool family

I bought this 4 years ago and didn't realize that it was the problem that was causing my washer, until my washer broke down and the part was $500 ti fix. I decided to buy another washer, but still be able to use thus pedestal. Thats when I found out that this pedestal is shorter than the specifications that whirlpool says. It measures 26 inches and it says 27 5/16 so it leaves 2 inches the washer hanging, that causes vibration until after time it gets really bad and the washer eventually breaks down. I spoke to whirlpool and they just offer me 25%off to buy another one, instead of replacing it. They need to recall all the pedestals that dont meet specifications and replace them. Thats the right thing to do and they probably would save a lot of money in service calls do to the pedestals. They want to protect there name, but don't want to take responsibility for a product not manufactured at specifications.

Purchased 2 bases when i purchased new front loading washer and dryer. The washer has always had an issue with vibrating all over the laundry room. The installers didn't level the washer initially and had to come back to level it correctly, but this didn't solve the walking issue. I noticed a cou0le months later that the left side of the base was shorter and did not come to the front face of the washer like the left side did. It needs replaced, but was found outside the 48 hour period allowed by Home Depot.

We purchased this product after our 5 year old front end washer started having problems. The first thing we noticed was the amount of plastic that was being used along with the poor design of the dispenser unit. You can not open the door fully with the dispenser open or even close the door.

I bought two of these through Whirlpool Inside Pass for my new washer and dryer. We mounted them and put the washer and dryer in the laundry nook. The pedestals raised the washer and dryer so high, there’s only 6” to spare between the bottom of the ceiling mounted 30” cabinets and the washer and dryer. This is insufficient space to have the shelf my wife needs and the pedestals were removed before the washer and dryer were run. I called Inside Pass to return them and was told that, while I’m in the 30 day return period, the pedestals are considered used. When I explained that neither the washer or dryer were run, the representative said it didn’t mattered. I now have ~$600 worth of pedestals that I can’t use and I’m retired on a fixed income.

Pedestal for washer and dryer are same size. Our washer is 3 inches bigger than the pedestal. Moves a lot even when balanced correctly

Can't believe how lousy this pedestal us designed. Fits the dryer perfectly but does not fit the washer properly at all. Very cheap and flimy. Whirlpool should be ashamed. I had a fifteen year old set and those pedestals were ten times the quality. Checked with whirlpool and they confirmed it is the correct pedestal for my washer. Really causes the washer to dance around and because the drawer doesn't close properly it also creates a lot of extra noise L.

Because I am only 5'1", the pedestals raise the washer and dryer to the exact height so I don't have to bend over to access laundry in them. I had another set from about 27 years ago and the sturdiness of the them isn't as good as before or I would have given them a 5 star rating. By that I mean that the "handle" used to pull the drawer open is plastic and the older ones are just a formed sheet of metal that are much better quality.

We very much appreciate using the pedistal to raise the washer and dryer off the floor. It makes it easier to get the laudry out of the appliance. The drawers work well to hold laundry detergent and other items. The downside is the pedistal is not stiff enough to damp the high speed spin cycles dynamics. The pedistal is level, and the washer is level. However, the pedistal twists as the washer spins and causes excess vibration. Either the pedistal should be shorter, or it needs additional cross members to stiffen the sides.

I recently purchased this pedestal for both washer and dryer, it fits perfect for dryer, but not washer, the screw holes at front don't line up between washer and pedestal, the installer cannot put screw in at front. And I called customer service and was told their technician does not fix issue for pedestal. Very disappointed.

MY WASHER MOVES ALL OVER THE PLACE. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT THE AMOUNT OF CLOTHES LOAD. IT NEEDS PEDESTAL PADS. I HAVE BEEN ON THE PHONE WITH WHIRLPOOL 3 HRS TRYING TO GET ASSISTANCE. NOT RIGHT

Raising the new Washer and Dryer up to waist level is fantastic. No more backache bending down, makes it easy to see what is in the machine. I am curious as we have two dogs and we have had "accidents" infrequently but now I can take the drawers out and clean under the washer and dryer without moving them around. My washer is also perfectly stable throughout every cycle, not rocking or banging into the dryer during high speed spin. Employee purchased and proud of what we make! .

These are expensive in my opinion for what it really is, however if your not stacking the set it places the washer and dryer at a height that is much more ergonomically easier to use.

Quality seems a little bit lacking, the drawers don't slide well and don't slide all the way in. Unless you have the pedestals installed at the time of purchasing the washer or dryer, these are very difficult to install on your own. I would not buy these again unless I had a huge laundry room as I lost a lot of space in our already cramped laundry room.

The last set of laundry owned was KitchenAid front loaders. They were still going strong after 13 years. Left in home we sold. These Wpl units are replacements and couldn't be happier. The height of these pedestals elevates exactly where needed plus provides great storage. Only drawback is you can overload with heavy bottles that cause drag.

I bought this because we were moving into a new home and wanted to get a front-loading washer and dryer. However, as you all may know, they are uncomfortably low and require a lot of bending. These pedestals saved my back and make doing laundry much more comfortable for anyone! The extra storage is an added bonus!!!

Very pleased, overall. However, I had to have a service call after the first use. The installers failed to remove the shipping bolts from the washer--it shook VIOLENTLY (like a bad comedy movie) during the first spin cycle. Hope it didn't do any harm to the machine.

We purchased front load Whirlpool washer and dryer a few months ago and we're very impressed for a number of reasons: quality, quiet, ease of use, and they look great. We've tried most of the other brands out there over the years but Whirlpool has them all beat!

We purchased the pedestal and washer and dryer, absolutely love. Really didn't want at first my husband picked them out and so thankful we have them now. We trust the Whirlpool brand and all of our appliances have always been Whirlpool love the reliability.

I purchased the pedestals with my washer and dryer purchase. I'm always dismayed that they don't have room for anything but small bottles of detergent. They store other items though. Not much you can say about a drawer.

I bought this item about a month ago and have really enjoyed it thus far. No problems or issues. Love the color and the look of it but it’s functional as well. Would recommend to any and all for family laundry needs.
JKthePA04/16/2020 03:32 AM
Raises the washer to the perfect height so no bending required. Deep drawers but the build quality seems much cheaper than the one it is replacing. All of the manufacturers are cutting corners the same way.
