• First and foremost , this new cooktop was a direct replacement for an original 18 year old GE Profile cooktop and it fit the original granite opening perfectly. The new cook top was plug and play, including the power hookup. The old cooktops control legends were ink printed on the top of the glass. With time and use they had worn away. The new control legends are imbedded below the glass and can never wear away providing a much better cooktop. Hope this cooktop will out last me.

• I love this cook top. Its easy to use including the cleaning. Fast boils, has different size heating elements and even a warmer feature. Nice sleek look. I love it

• We Love using our GE glass cooktop with so many sizes of burners to use! Easy clean up, the glass tops stay unscathed If you use the proper cookware. Must have all smooth bottoms on your pans. ITS A PRETTY UNIT ... CLEAN AND MODERN LOOK.

• This cooktop is wonderful. We had another GE Cooktop (older) but the newer ones have the great feature of larger knobs that are attractive and beautiful chrome edges.

• I previously had a similar cooktop in white, I only replaced it because I needed to update to stainless in my kitchen. The only thing I miss in this one is the bridge feature that was on my previous GE Profile white cooktop where you can connect 2 elements for an oblong shaped element. I did not want the cooktop without knobs which, I believe is what I would have had to purchase in order to get the bridge. I love the adjustable sizes of the elements.

• Love to place ment of burners and option of rapid boil. Hubby dislikes knobs placement because I f cleaning - I do not mind at all.

• Great product but unfortunately within 2 years I watched the flattop as began to crack across the burners. All I did was, turn on a burner. Nothing was ever dropped on it. Warrenty didn't last long at all and so I have yet to replace this item

• The stovetop works very well. It's great in many ways. I did have to hire an electrician to wire it to a 220 line so bear that in mind before purchasing. And, there is a huge design flaw - - - it does not clean well. After a day or two it looks old, some stains from spills are impossible to clean as they bake in. If it wasn't so difficult to clean, I would rate it 5 stars.

• I just moved in on my brand new property with Van Metre on 03/24 and the next day we tried to cook scrambled eggs. I was shocked it took about 25 minutes. I tried all five different bays and all are the same. At the highest power, the heat goes on and off and the eggs was never hot. My neighbor has exactly the same model of GE stove JEP5036STSS and only took him 3-4 minutes to cook scrambled eggs and didn't experience my issue. It does appear a defective product. I called Van Metre warranty team and they said I had to call directly with GE which really upsets me. This is a brand new home and I will have to deal with this issue on my second day move in. I will update this review when issue is resolved
