• I bought my first and last GE washer today and it came with a poorly crafted and cheaply made drain hose that was 24 inches too short. This is my 4th washer I have had installed here and never had an issue before this. I believe the drain hole is on the wrong side and this makes it impossible for the cheaply made drain hose to work. I see GE has a place to buy an extension drain hose but from my experience with your product and the reviews on this product I will never be buying anything from GE again. I have plastic bags that are made from better quality plastic than these drain tubes. I paid for installation and was unable to get it properly done because of the poor construction of this product. You should make sure the retailers know that the drains are on the right not the left like every other American Brand of washer I have ever purchased. This would enable to retailers to sell me a universal drain tube that would fit. This would have saved me a lot of time, stress and money. I plan to review this poor quality product every chance I get and tell all my friends all about it. American Companies used to have pride it what they made. My mother had a Maytag washer made in Michigan that lasted 30 years now you make disposable washers and dryers that are made to last 5 years and are proud of it. You should be ashamed of yourselves and your products. As I mentioned earlier this is my first GE washer and will be my last. If I wasn’t desperate for a washer I would call Lowe’s and have them come get this piece of poorly designed and built junk. Don’t bother to contact me unless you want to refund my delivery and installation fee because I don’t want your subpar extension kit or your excuses. Just start doing things right the first time. Build a better washer and dryer and provide your paying customers with the right size drain hose.

• I purchase a brand new GE washing machine. And what does it come with? This cheap drain hose which failed to drain properly and flooded my entire laundry room. Now I have to search for a drain hose that works.

• The instructions are not adequate, and the hose does NOT fit onto the main drain hose for the washing machine. The sizes are wrong. However, when you read the web site, it does tell you that it will work. Ordered the first one, no clamps or bushings, the second one, does not fit per the instructions. Cut the hose per the one page "manal" and it leaks all over the place. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

• $33.00 for a plastic drain hose extension is a rip off. The drain hose with a $600 plus washer should be more than 4.5 feet, you shouldn't need to buy one. I only need another 12". Your plumbing and location has to be perfect for that to work. I will never buy another GE washer.
