• Mostly due to complexity to work with a smart thermostat, hard to find the right aux setting, data to ensure proper working with smart thermostat. Also, seems the fan must be used first to start heating, instead of being furnace activated, so some extra energy seems wasted.

• This is our 3rd ge zoneline and totally disappointed with the efficiency of this model. It fan will kick on and off on its own after the room is heated which makes no sense because it's blowing out cold air which then cools the room back down and makes it turn in heat mode again. Supposed to be more energy efficient but I don't buy it and am very disappointed that this is how the unit was designed. Do not buy unless you want to keep turning it off and on constantly so it doesn't blow fan air. I have it in the cycle mode and that's what I want it to do, cylce heat or cool only, not fan air cycling on and off. I wouldn't have bought this until if I had known that beforehand.

• The unit installed recently is defective, making noises and didn’t generate enough heat. I called Bodewell who takes care of the warranty service in NJ. Technician diagnosed it was the compressor issue but won’t be able to fix it. It was supposed to file a report but he did not. Therefore, I requested a second time service which the technician did not show up at all while charging for service. This is the worst experience I had ever. The authorized dealer cannot exchange my unit even I reported the issue the next day after installation,, while the warranty service providers keeps me waiting and not rectifying the problem.
