Wish we had read the reviews before purchase. Similar to another review, we also had a 24" KitchenAid double wall oven. We loved it and when it died we replace it with KitchenAid again. Upon delivery/installation, we learned that this is two separate units and that the interior dimensions are drastically smaller. The interior space is compounded even more with the design of how the racks slide into the oven eating up another 1" to 1 1/2" on either side. We can not use our cookie sheets, our roasting pan, and some of our all clad pans. Very aggravating! We were so excited and now we really have a sour taste in our mouth. NOT a fan of the new design!
Size Matters11/04/2023 12:08 AM
Overall, we like the ovens. I say "ovens" because these are two identical ovens, not connected in any way. Two control panels, two clocks, etc. Our biggest complaint is that they are small. Smaller than the oven they replace. The way the ovens install, there is 5 inches of wasted space that could have been "oven". Our large cookie sheets don't fit. They cook beautifully, we like the WiFi feature and find it handy. To date I have found no way to calibrate the oven temperature but so far that hasn't been needed. Our house is an older home, so 24" is what fits. Only 4 available ovens in that size. I'm astounded at the price of these things.

this 2-section wall oven and it’s been nothing but trouble. The top oven can’t even connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and the bottom oven is worse—it constantly restarts the software. I’ve tried a full power-off reset, but it didn’t help at all. I opened a support ticket, but even after that, I haven’t been able to get any real help or resolution. For the price, I expected reliability and better customer service, but instead I’m stuck with a barely functional oven

The ovens themselves work fine. I am extremely disappointed with both our dealer and Whirlpool/Kitchenaid because of nonexistent follow up service. What the product in formation does not say is that this unit is really two single ovens connected with a center mounting bracket. We did not know this (how could we when nobody told us) so did not know to make sure it was delivered with the two ovens. We found out when the installer was putting it in. We haven't given up (and we won't) but so far nobody on either the dealer side or Kitchenaid side seem too interested in providing this part so the ovens can be properly installed.

I had this product installed in May 2023. It does not heat up to the designated temp. For example, the internal temp is only 275 when it says it's at the 350 set temp. It takes another 20-30 minutes to get to the designated temp. The oven is used infrequently. Disappointing that I have to pay for a service call and possibly parts, one month after the warranty expired.

I was happy with the oven installed in March but the top oven stopped working in June and I am still waiting for the needed parts ordered by the repairman. KitchenAid customer service was supposed to contact me last week, but no call and I am currently on hold trying to reach them on the phone. A very frustrated customer with multiple KitchenAid products!!

Very disappointed at this company and this appliance. The motor went bad after two months of use. It’s unsafe and scary to have it. And use it again. Instead of changing this oven all together They’re changing the motor. It’s bizarre and ridiculous to have to fix it after only two months. I’m actually afraid for my family to have this oven at home. Kitchen aid with such power and being a big company it’s even hard to believe that’s you’re thinking about fixing this. Rather just changing this wall oven. Only been used for two months. I should say. It’s a factory defect and you have to step up and do what you have to. It’s aggrevating to have to do this

Bought oven in December ,used for 4 weeks and food was not getting done. Called for service, three days later tech came out. Tech advised he needed parts, of course parts are on back order! Also asked tech to check bottom oven and he flat out refused to! Scheduled another service appointment to check bottom oven, appointment was set, two hours later I get an email / text cancelling appointment for checking the bottom oven because the parts ordered were not in yet! Spent $3700. On a double oven and two months after installation still no working oven! Frustrating!!

We replaced excellent 25-year-old Kitchenaid double wall oven with this one, constrained by location between door and window so couldn't go to 27 or 30 inch size. None of your specs or information reveal this is 2 separate units, a real pain to install, and interior is only 18 inches wide!!! So much smaller than old 24-inch unit our roasting pan and cookie sheets won't fit inside! Will a Thanksgiving turkey fit? We would never have bought this if we had known these two things. Big disappointment.

We bought this oven / ovens a year ago and had them installed October 2023. We have had problems with them regarding the fan which broke off after a few months, rendering us angle to use it until it was fixed. Exactly the same thing has happened a second time and we are obviously very frustrated. We had to wait over 2 weeks for a repair technician to come out and he was unable to fix it due to the part being on back order. It has been nearly 3 weeks since that visit and we have heard nothing - and are still unable to use the oven. Needless to say we do not recommend this product.

Excellent double oven overall! Many high end features such as WiFi operation, assisted cooking, cooking modes, touch screen, etc. The ovens look great and professional in our kitchen. This double oven is actually two separate ovens with separate electric wiring, two separate digital clocks. Set up of the WiFi features was relatively simple and uses Kitchenaid app that you can use remotely. The ovens look great is also easy to clean.

I cannot believe you produced an electric double wall oven without a duct system to vent hot air into the attic or outside wall instead of venting heat into the kitchen!! It’s awful. Anything you can do about the venting? Had I known this ahead of buying it, I wouldn’t have bought it. Also the interior space is so small because of the extended chrome pieces that hold the racks in place, we lose at least 2” from the interior. I had have to buy new pans. Heating….i have to set temp 100 degrees hotter to get correct cooking temp. pans to fit the ovens. is so small, I need to buy new roasting pans, cookie sheets, etc.

First let me be clear: I have no issue with PC Richard. They have always treated us well and this purchase was no exception. Unfortunately, like us consumers, PC Richard is stuck having to accept whatever appliances the manufacturers decide to produce. Frankly, KitchenAid should be ashamed to sell this oven, especially at the price that was charged. We needed to replace our 28-year-old KitchenAid 24-inch double oven (Model # KEBS247DBL). Its control board failed and was no longer available. In order to avoid a costly kitchen remodel to fit a 30-inch double oven we decided to purchase this model. We were not able to see it in person; we had to rely on pictures from the internet. They hid this ovens flaws quite well. Our previous KEBS247DBL oven was a scaled down version of KitchenAid’s 30-inch model. That meant it did lack some features. Only the upper oven had convection cooking but both ovens were self-cleaning. And the oven was very robust with heavy gauge racks that when extended could support a 25-pound turkey in a roaster without any strain. And the doors were able to handle the load as well. We expected similar performance from this model. We were very disappointed. The racks are half the gauge of the older model and sag under even a modest load. The doors are flimsy, and I am certain that a large turkey in a roaster would break them. The sidewalls are of thinner metal construction leading to the impression of a very fragile cabinet. And where the older model had the support rails for the rack’s integral to the heavy gauge steel sidewalls this model KODC504PPS has thin gauge rails screwed into the thin sidewalls, making the racks even less sturdy. Any load on an extended rack causes the support rails to flex, making things even less stable and I believe quite dangerous as it would be easy to overload the rack and rail and dump a very hot dish onto the front of the person using the oven. To add to this, the interior volume of this model KODC504PPS is less than that of the older model KEBS247DBL. This means that the internal width is about ¾ inch less, which means that most our roasting pans will not fit in this oven. And I doubt it could fit a 25-pound turkey even if we had a pan that will fit. I think that size turkey would hit the upper heating element. We would be lucky to fit a 15-pound bird. Along with this, only the upper oven has a self-cleaning option whereas the older model self-cleaned both ovens. Another issue is that this so-called double oven really is two separate ovens. Yes, two independent ovens each with their own control panel. This means that the controls for the lower oven are located about 1 inch below the height of the kitchen counter. Due to this design in order to use the lower oven one must crouch down the access the panel. I’m sure this saved KitchenAid money, but makes using the lower oven very difficult, especially if you have bad knees due to arthritis. Seems that no thought was given to ease of use by less than limber consumers. Finally, KitchenAid charges almost as much for this oven as they do for the much better designed and more robust 30-inch models. It is not worth the price. It seems the goal is to drive consumers to the 30-inch models. We are reluctantly going to investigate modifying our kitchen to accept a 30-inch model oven. We did not want the expense just now, but the poor design of this oven has given us incentive to make the changes. Given that model KODC504PPS is both impractical and possibly dangerous, we have little choice. Our hope is to sell this model to a used appliance store and make back a small portion of the far too large purchase price. Do not buy this product. Rework your kitchen instead.

I bought this almost a month ago and the top oven doesn’t work. Customer Service giving us the run around. Spent almost 4k for a oven that doesn't work.

Had Appliance Dr come out to fix bottom oven, looked at oven said need electrician and left even though we told him that electrician already looked at oven and it is hooked up correctly! But he still left without doing anything! Called KitchenAid sending out another company 9-29

Due to cut out size, I had to replace our Thermador 24" Dbl ovens with Kitchenaid. The oven cavity space is significantly less than the Thermador the Kitchenaid replaced. And now, after only six (6) weeks of use, a food particle is lodged BETWEEN the glass oven window panes marring the visual appearance of the Kitchenaid.
Irked08/07/2023 09:55 PM
I noticed a month or so, after the oven was installed, that neither door closed completely on one side. Kitchenaid sent a repairman, who replaced the hinges, but it made no difference, We then noticed that each door was slightly warped. Really these doors should be replaced. It is a new oven and I don't know if the doors are affecting anything, but I would think Kitchenaid wants their new products to be perfect. this one isn't.

We have had nothing but trouble with these ovens. We have only had them for just over a year and they have broken several times. One broke again yesterday. So a little update, the tech came round and we have to spend another $600 to have the oven fixed. Close to $4,000 and these ovens have been a disaster. Also worth mentioning is for everyone to have a look at the KitchenAid response to all these negative reviews. Their couldn't care at all response...please contact us on Facebook or Instagram is a great example of a company that just wants you to go away. I have reached out to them on Instagram let's see their response, please contact us on Facebook is my guess. Past behavior indicates future behavior, their product's are bad and their customers service is non existent.

Why would any manufacture ship a product that doesn't work. First it was the fan making noise and then it fell off when the repair person opened the cover. Second the bake cycle temperature would not operate correctly. Preheat was lower than registered and the back temperature was lower than indicated. Service call indicated it was a printed circuit board which is ON BACKORDER. How could you run a manufacturing business and not know when you are getting parts. Service calls are weeks of waiting.

Purchased the KitchenAid 24" Smart Double Wall Oven with True Convection from a respected local family-owned "store front" appliance business. This product replaced a 24" double Thermador wall oven that had been in use for 63 years. Yes, 63 years. Less than two months ago, the product was carefully installed in the existing cabinetry and looks great. But the looks are deceiving. This product (both ovens) has not heated properly since first calibrated at installation, nor following the local technical support staff's two subsequent determined efforts, even in consultation with KitchenAid's own support staff. It is well known that when there are multiple part failures "out of the box"; especially as here, where dependent upon electronic computerized control boards; replacement of the product is preferable to replacement of several of its component parts. Since we experienced electronic parts failure out of the box; we requested that KitchenAid replace the product. However, KitchenAid Customer Support insists to our local retailer that it will send replacement parts consisting of control boards, heating elements, and a sensor rather than to replace the ovens. We have paid the retail dealer for the product who would very willingly replace it and leave us out of adjustments with the manufacturer; but it is not an inventory product. Their recourse is through a hierarchy of distributor representative, distributor contact with Manufacturer's Representative and on up the ladder to the manufacturer's customer service complaint resolution team. We further note that at first, moisture condensed on the inside glass during baking. Now, bursts of steam hit your face when the oven doors are open to remove anything. This is obviously a venting malfunction but "team support" offered no calibrations to prevent scalding from a steam burst when an oven door is opened. Customer online support protocol is very difficult to navigate. The chat feature is AI based, and after three hours I was unable to set up case with a robot or a live person. While the product looks great, and we were very impressed with the enhanced features for this new model; it does not hold up to the Kitchen Aid brand expectations of quality, quality control, and customer service.

Bought oven 18 months ago. Oven has never worked correctly; take more than 10 minutes to reach 350 degrees even after replacing Controller. Original oven out of box was out of alignment; had to wait 2 months for replacement. Very unhappy & dissatisfied after paying $4000.

I've never spent this much money on an appliance to be disappointed with the install experience and lack of thought by the manufacturer...I wanted to have a product for which I could give 5 stars! You need to download the install instructions to understand this is 2 SEPARATE ovens because the pictures on the website will make you believe this is one appliance. That is probably good for future maintenance/replacement if 1 fails but made the install very tricky. I needed 2 separate crews (which were Kitchen Aid vendors) and needed to participate and have a supervisor come out subsequently because of the confusion of the instructions. The first crew left because they said the junction box needed to be in the center of the opening (it did not--I paid to have it installed it per the spec on the instructions which I downloaded in advance from the website). They also stated I needed TWO outlet boxes of 110v even though I paid an electrician to I install the specified 220 on the website and instructions! I called my electrician back to check what they said and he stated the appliance was indeed 220 and that the procedure was to put the upper oven in first and connect it and then the lower over (The instructions said this but the Kitchen Aid crews were each clueless). The first crew also stated the opening needed a 1"x4" cleat for the provided metal bracket to hold the oven...this later turned out to be wrong as well. I had to have my cabinet maker measure the supplied screws to prove they were fine and no other modification was needed I requested another install and stated I needed a seasoned crew. The crew came out and told me the same as the first. They also stated this was their first time installing it. I had them call a supervisor to explain my problems as well as the order of sequences (put in the first lower oven, mount the metal bracket for the second one, take out the lower oven, mount the top oven and connect the power, and then connect power to lower oven). The crew said they understood and then started doing it the wrong way. The instructions also stated it was required to remove the oven door of the lower oven. The crew did not know how to do this...I suggested youTube and they looked at me like an alien. I went on youTube and found a video to show them...crazy. Too long of a story but I watched/directed/assisted for over 2 hours to get both put in and connected. They did not wipe down, clean or set up the appliance. The final 'kick' was the mounting screws in the oven which secure the appliance(s) to the cabinet were put in and the guys left...I should have checked that the ovens were secure. I opened the door when i was setting up the wifi and realized neither screw was drilled into the wood! The cabinet cut out width per the Kitchen Aid guide states 22 5/8"....the space between the screw holes which are supposed to secure this is 22 5/8" so the screws will not bit into the wood.....a major mistake with the instructions. A supervisor came out the next day to go over all of this and apologize but could not figure a workaround for the set screws. I called Kitchen Aid to state this and have a case number but am doubtful I will be contacted regarding these issues as I really don't want someone else to experience this frustration which should be addressed at the vendor level as well as in the product/install guides. Be forewarned about this process :) I purchased it as it was the only 24" double which required the least modification by my cabinet maker to an existing install (it replaced a 30 year old Jennair and no other models fit the opening)

I bought this about a month and a half ago and I expected better quality from a name like kithenaid. The fan is very loud and the metal racks inside the oven vibrating. The surface in the front and sides of the unit is not even

Just purchased & preheat buzzes in about 5 minutes to say it’s preheated & it’s no where near preheated. Timer buzzer isn’t loud enough nor long enough to be of help. AND temp does not reach desired temp—-about 25 to 50 degrees lower than set at.
