We have had this just under 2 months, and we love it! It was the same height and width as our old fridge that we replaced, but it seems so much more spacious, I guess because of the door and drawer configuration. It takes advantage of every possible space, with various nooks and crannies to stick things: There is a pizza compartment in the front of the freezer drawer, and a little slaughter compartment at the front of the top fridge where we stick flat things like cheese and butter. Our old fridge was packed so full it was hard to find things; we transferred all the same stuff over into this fridge and have an excess of space. It is amazing.

Love this refrigerator. I saw it a couple of years ago and couldn't stop thinking about it because of the organizational features. You can see absolutely everything you have. The icemaker is in the door so it doesn't take up any space in the main compartment. I was able to shift a lot of frozen stuff from extra garage freezer because there's a ton of space in the freezer. I love the shallow slide out drawers because you don't pile stuff on top of each other. Fridge looks empty because it has so much space. I would buy it again. My husband wasn't sure about the two extra exterior drawers, but he loves the thing after using it for a few weeks

Mine is a disaster .. 2 technician came to my home.. replace parts.. and happened again and now I don't have warranty .. my issues: 1 - Ice maker stop making ice.. 2 - look the pictures.. they talk by themselves 3 - Rust in the stainless steel 4 - Ice every ware.. in the freezer.. 5 - Door Control.. Works and stop.. I desided disconnected... basically never used.. Who in the real mind put the controller under the water drain?.. if you have another door .. put in the other door... I brought kitchen aid because the reputation but in my case.. I will never buy this item again..

There is a defect causing the freezer to freeze up inside and out, can’t even open freezer door after a while. I have to spend hours chipping away and melting ice with hair dryer. We’ve had to throw away so much food from it thawing and refreezing. Kitchen aid won’t fix it even though the service technician deemed it a manufacturer defect. The water dispenser continues to dispense water after you remove the cup. It also says the door is open when it is not, so there is often an alarm going off for no reason. I have never been so disappointed in a 4000 dollar appliance. Of course this all happened right at the 5 year mark so no warranty. I expected better from kitchen aid.

At first we were excited about our new fridge until we returned home from a long weekend out of town to find that we couldn't open the freezer. There was a layer of frozen ice on the bottom under the drawer that was not allowing us to open the drawer. Per the repair man this was a known issue and he ordered the correct piece to fix the issue. However, this issue led to multiple other issues with the drawer which resulted in ordering other parts and having to come out to fix other issues. I wish this issue could have somehow been addressed to us sooner so we could have corrected or not used the freezer until it was corrected. Other than that issue we have enjoyed the fridge so far.

We purchased this amazing refrigerator about three weeks ago and so far we are in love with it! We chose this fridge for its sexy and sleek lines, the beautiful interior and its features.. We did remove on of the top shelves on one side to allow for taller items, but we do not even miss it being there. The two refrigerated drawers are awesome and convenient. We are storing deli items on one side and the other I have our cold drinks. The freezer space is awesome with the two extra pull out drawers and the pizza storage pocket. Water and ice is always fresh and ready when we want it.

Purchased in 2018. Refrigerator stopped cooling to lower than 50 degrees in October 2021. Had a tech out to diagnose and came back to do a major repair. A few months later the refrigerator would cool to the mid 20s freezing everything, this went on for over a week then again would only cool to the low 50s. Same tech came out again to repair. Major overhauls both times. KitchenAid wants nothing to do with helping. Will never shop the brand again. Horrible customer service.

I have had my refrigerator almost 2 years now. I absolutely LOVE it!!! The platinum inside plus the lighting makes it very easy to see what is in there. I love the drawers in the refrigerator plus the separate drawers out of the refrigerator for produce - one of which you can control the temperature separately. Probably my favorite feature is the freezer with 2 pull out shelves, a larger lower section and a small pocket in the door. It’s just my husband and me, so when I buy meats, fish or poultry, I package it in ziplocks with date. The top shelf I use for this. The second shelf I use for frozen vegetables, and the larger bottom section we use for frozen dinners and other items that are larger. In addition to all that, there is a front pocket in the door for pizza. Puff pastry boxes also fit in there great! LOVE LOVE LOVE the freezer! The temperature is also controlled very well in all sections.

I've searched for the past four weeks/weekends for a new fridge, which drove my BF crazy. He is literally worn down! I've had my current KitchenAid f refrigerator #KSRX25FSST01 since May 2007 (purchased at Sears Outlet as a scratch and dent for about $1000 back then). It is still working but after 11.5 years, without hesitation. The ice maker still produces ice, but it no longer dispenses from the in-door dispenser (just seems as if the screw has become stripped over the years from basic use - which should be expected). I'm getting worried it's time for a new one before it gives out and we have to make a "rush purchase". At first, when I wasn't even considering a new fridge ..... on an unexpected trip to BestBuy, I fell in love with the "knock knock light-up door" from LG that could open from either side (that also had the center chilling drawer) ..... but after reading the reviews, I couldn't run away fast enough! After all, it's the luck of the draw when purchasing electronics, and now appliances/fridges are basically all electronics/computers. From what I've read, their Customer Service, parts availability & repair service is extremely poor :( Even reviews for this fridge post that she got "a lemon" and her Mother In Law purchased the same fridge and it has NO problems. After many, many hours of searching, eliminating numerous brands, it all came down to the following: We were also considered the Samsung 4 door fridge (of course in stainless steel only, as we've read reports that the black stainless steel is only a film and peels off, which the gentleman at Best Buy had confirmed also - and is clear from all of the store models having scratches/scapes, no matter which retailer carried them) which has the flex section for the bottom right quadrant. But we weighed the lower price of the Samsung with the "already known quality" of the KitchenAid. Granted our purchase was around Thanksgiving/BlackFriday. Again, we've purchased a KitchenAid #KRMF706ESS01 (and the coordinating dishwasher - WOW!) because of my past purchase and excellent stability of the KitchenAid product. When in all actuality, looking for the above the above the range microwave, if you purchase a Whirlpool it's about $300, but once the KitchenAid name goes on it, it goes up to $600. Anyhow, I've gotten my dream machine today, and although I need to adjust from side-by-side space to french-door space (which has huge depth) I'm so very happy! Here are pics of the old and the new! #KitchenAid #ReplacingAClassicWithANew #IHateToSeeTheOldOneGo #WelcomeHomeNewKitchenAidFridge #WelcomeHomeNewKitchenAidDishwasher

We looked at other refrigerators but none of them had the beautiful led lighting or the rich look like the KitchenAid. We love the sliding snack drawer.

We love this refrigerator! With the incorporation of a few lazy susans, it is way more organized than any fridge we have ever owned! We always know what we have at all times. The only thing we've noticed, although it doesn't detract from our five-star rating, is that the water/ice maker makes a noise right before it fills up the ice tray or dumps the ice, and it sounds like there might be a mechanical issue. I think it is just normal on this model. Our old fridge died within 5 years, and although this was expensive and not something we expected to have to buy so soon, we are delighted we did! Buy, buy, BUY! :)

I bought this less than a month ago and it’s been a huge disappointment. As soon as it was plugged in it was making a knocking and humming noise. It was delivered on a Friday and over the weekend it only produced about 18 ice cubes. The fridge leaks water inside out of the ice maker. It drips down into the door shelf and also into the sliding herb compartment. Then to make things worse the freezer door doesn’t seal complete, you can literally see light coming through the seal in one corner of the door. Explains why our ice packs weren’t freezing and the fridge runs almost constantly. For the amount of money this fridge costs it’s extremely disappointing to see this kind of workmanship especially from a KitchenAid product.

Wish I Knew We bought this AMAZING LOOKING refrigerator after a complete kitchen renovation on July of last year. I wish I would have read all of this reviews, I just went with it because of the features and the looks...so dissapointed! After you spend almost $3000 for a fridge you would only believe and trust that it will work properly, well it didnt! We saw right away that the freezer drawer was having issues and freezing to the point we could not open the door, then the light wouldnt come up because it was frozen in between the drawer and switch to the light, well now is the ice maker, NO ICE, I guess is part of the design or all of them came that way... SO DISSAPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED!

I absolutely love this fridge! There's a lot more room than a side by side. The freezer space is awesome! It has 3 drawers, so finding things are so much easier! the platinum interior is gorgeous and has great lighting! its a little pricey but you can definitely see the quality difference! The handles are all metal, you definitely get what you pay for!

I bought this for a new house in 10/2018, to match the rest of the appliances. We also purchased the extended warranty through Best Buy . The trouble started in the spring of 2019 and hasn’t stopped since. The drip pan under the cooler drawers freezes up causing water to pool and eventually start leaking out whenever the drawer is opened. This causes me to have to pull the cooler drawers out and sop up all the ice and water from the pan with bath towels. I called Best Buy and was informed that during the first year of my warranty I would need to contact Whirlpool, which I did. I had 2 different repairmen out to my house. One in 5/2019 and again 10/2019. Neither of them could tell me what was wrong or how to fix it. Then we all know COVID happened next. So when I called Best Buy I was informed they were not doing house calls due to covid. So I continued to sop up water every few months and watch my hardwood floor being destroyed. I call Best Buy again in spring of 2021 and was informed that I would have to have 3 claims within the warranty period to have the appliance considered for replacement. Wait I had already had 2, but no that first year didn’t count because it was under Whirlpool warranty. Ok, but I bought a 3 year warranty from Best Buy so I should have another year right, since that first year was through the manufacturer. But no, that first year counts against my time, but I can’t use the claims made during that time. So Best Buy scheduled a repairman, who came from the exact same repair company that Whirlpool used, for the claims I can’t use. Repairman again says there’s nothing for them to fix, except I am still, to this day, tearing apart the drawers and sopping up water. So now I need a new refrigerator and a new floor.

We debated a few weeks prior to purchasing this unit given the price point. However, decided to pull the trigger given it was KitchAid and the reputation that KItchenAid carries. We've owned the unit for 5 months now. Shortly after the unit was delivered we noticed the ice maker was get hung up and not dispense the ice. Called in to get help, was provided several items to attempt......didn't work. After a few months of frustration we finally called in for a service call.

I bought this refrigerator along with 6 OTHER KITCHEN AIDE APPLIANCES at the same time I also purchased 3 Maytag appliances. I am BEYOND DISAPPOINTED, not only in the refrigerator but also THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE !!! Our whole house was under renovation and to make a long story short we had purchased our appliances April 25, 2018 and We were in the process of suing our contractor . I called the appliance place to see if they could hold them because we found out we wouldn’t be able to install until the beginning to mid summer. I did a lot of researching before buying - I love that the refrigerator is platinum Inside - I like the way it looks and so far no issues with the ice maker - I love the look of the refrigerator So far I haven’t had any problems with the other kitchen aide appliances HOWEVER THEY ARE. NOT SMUDGE FREE- which is a pain , especially the dishwasher -the shelves aren’t as tall as others and can be challenging but we make it work - I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER KITCHEN AIDE APPLIANCE AGAIN!!! AND HERE IS WHY About 10 months after my purchase day I noticed a few little brown spots on the bottom by the kitchen aide logo. I honestly thought it was a minor defect and was like it’s at the bottom, no big deal . We had only moved back in 5 months after I noticed. A few weeks went by and more spots appeared at the bottom. I called kitchen aide and they told me well ur warranty ended last month. I took out the 5 year warranty which was an additional &1,200. Kitchen aid sent me some polish to use and it doesn’t work. I HAVE A BRAND NEW HOUSE- beautiful kitchen and a refrigerator with brown spots popping up all over. I have sent them emails after emails and no response. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER Service. I’m actually looking for a washing machine and dryer right now I will not purchase another product made by Kitchen Aide. SO BUYER BEWARE BROWN SPOTS CAN START COMING THROUGH. I Was told it could have something to do with the stainless steel - I CANT EVEN GET KITCHEN AIDE TO RESPOND TO AN EMAIL!!!

KitchenAid contract carrier JB Hunt delivered our products with damage to the freezer drawer stainless steel. Also a bent piece at the bottom back of the refrigerator Photos were taken by Hunt and myself. Today is 06/05 10am and we are still waiting for Kitchenaid to contact us to resolve the issues.

This refrigerator is a little over 6 years old (purchased December 2019). Shortly after the warranty expired the drawer on the left side of the refrigerator would automatically change selection. We would have it set on meat but it would keep randomly change to the other options, it then stopped lighting up. Within the past year we noticed a puddle on the floor and the meat drawer was difficult to open and when we pulled a little harder it did open. After that we removed the meat drawer and found a grey cable with broken wires and ice and water build up, there was even more water and ice under the produce drawer on the right side. We turned off the water line for the icemaker, assuming that was the problem. We recently schedule a repair call for the icemaker and completely emptied the refrigerator and found huge puddles of water and ice under the drawers. The repair man informed us there have been numerous issues with the design of this type of refrigerator. He pointed that way in the back there are steel fins that are grey but should be white with frost which means the drain could be clogged and the compressor may have an issue and is very expensive to replace. The wires under the meat draw cannot be fixed and if the icemaker has a leak, it is accessed from inside on top and there are numerous wires. Bottom line it would be very costly to even try make any repairs and if he was able to access and unclog the drain assuming that was the issue there was no guarantee all problems would be solved. As far as the freezer section, sometime the ice cream will get very soft and the top drawer is constantly falling off the track and is extremely difficult to reattach due to its cheap plastic.

Bought this fridge in 2021 and had issues with it from the beginning while under warranty. The ice will begin to melt and leak on to a control panel on the drawer below the ice maker. Eventually the control panel shorts out and causes issues with the rest of unit. Whirlpool/Kitchenaid never fixed the issue properly after several visits and lots of parts. Now that I am out of warranty they won’t honor the warranty despite never resolving the original issue. The conversation I had with them today (6/18/2024) was very disappointing.

We’ve just had our refrigerator a little over a month and I am so in love with it! When I open the doors of my refrigerator I can see everything in there without moving anything. There’s a sliding compartment that allows me to put top bottles of wine or juice easily. The lettuce and veggie compartments are awesome and they have filters so that my vegetables last longer. The freezer compartment below has three separate areas for frozen foods which is so much more space than I’ve ever had in a freezer. It’s got a special compartment for pizzas and anything else you need to freeze. I love my KitchenAid refrigerator.

Kitchenaid's KRMF706ESS can be awarded worst refrigerator of the decade. It's ice maker stops making ice or starts leaking water or their compressor goes bad in less than a year of purchase. Same issues with replacement as well. Had to do more than 5 service appointments and still same issue. Once the warranty expires, each service appointment is 200+ dollar. In recent times, market has moved to make money using 100s subscriptions like Netflix etc., similar to that, Kitcheaid subscription service is their service warranty request that you ll need to do regularly as this fridge is prone to failure! Do not buy!

We bought this refrigerator along with a KitchenAid microwave and dishwasher about 5 years ago. The ice-make doesn't make ice. That's been going on for a few years. Now the freezer is not cooling properly. One compartment's cooling feature also does not work. The microwave's clock & timer are partially lit. Incredibly frustrating after paying a lot for what we thought were quality appliances! How long should a KitchenAid refrigerator last??
KMG123409/16/2024 08:26 AM
I punched this refrigerator 09/ 2015 when it first came on the market. Now the plastic around the doors and drawers are falling off and major hairline cracks all in the plastic. Which for the money I've paid this should never be an issue. I tried several times to contact kitchenaid and no response. I don not normally do reviews but when you can't get in contact with the company what should you do. I'm just not happy I had a very good GE refrigerator only bought this one because I wanted all my appliances to match. Darn this is VERY, VERY, SAD.
