• I bought the Kitchenaid under cabinet range hood for my kitchen from Custom Distributors in Columbus OH. I am quite happy with the range hood. It replaces an older model same design that failed because the switch became permanently damaged. 5 stars for Kitchenaid and 25 stars for Custom Distributors for making this happen. Replacing with a similar updated model range hood with same exact dimensions prevented tearing up the custom cabinets and designer wall tile.... yooo hooo thank you kitchenaid and Custom Distributors. :)

• I bought this in August of 2022, the hood fan has had to be repaired 4 times with the same problem when it stopped working. Now Whirlpool is refusing to repair or replace the fan the fourth time. The technician and customer service reported that I had broken the fan and they are unable to assist me. The best they could do is give me a 15% discount on a new one. I don’t recommend this product or the company. Poor quality product and poor customer service.

• Poor exhaust had always been problem for us due to daily cooking. Waited so long to get this product, finally very happy with this product. Now, no more greasy cabinet and smells.

• I like the product, but i don't like the near-impossible task of reaching a human at KitchenAid. If you want a better review, make sure you have support available as needed, without a convoluted hours-long wait to reach a human. pitiful! Also, for the survey originators, think about the fact that same user may have reviews of multiple appliances, so the message "user already exists" is a stupid error for someone who may have multiple appliance reviews.

• Purchased 3/30/22 and installed 5/7/22. During installation it was discovered the wrong size filters were included. Correct size filters ordered on 5/9/22, but was told on 5/28/22 they were unavailable and backordered. $1500 + install and can't use it. The light works, so it is not completely useless.

• The unit has 2 major design flaws. First it sticks out much further than other units, so you will smack your head if not very careful when tending pots on the stove. Also there is an automatic setting, that comes on for no reason and cannot be turned off.

• I bought this hood just over a year ago and don't have a problem with how the hood itself works although it is very loud when on it's highest fan level. My problem is that it is not possible to fully clean the unit. The filters are removable and washable but grease is also accumulating in the front of the unit where the lightbulbs are housed. There is no way to remove that part of the hood so I have grease dripping from the front corners onto my stove. When I called support to ask how to clean the front part, I was transferred to three teams and none of them had an answer. The only solution was that they could send a tech out but because I am two weeks over warranty, I would have to pay out of pocket. I don't think I should need a tech to come out to clean my appliance. I'm very disappointed that I spent this much money on a product that seems defective in it's design and that Kitchenaid support was completely unhelpful. I would not recommend this product.

• The electronic control panel was dangling on one plastic anchor ( ILO secure to 3 plastic anchor as intended design) the metal bracket holding the fuse was bent 90 degrees so it short out the fuse and electronic circuit board when the metal bracket touches the hood body. Very bad QC.

• The unit like all our other KitchenAid equipment is of good manufacturing, consistent appearance, and good service. The one issue we immediately noticed is when we use the power boost mode on the fan it trips the breaker every time.

• This hood very efficiently clears away cooking odors and steam/smoke. Provides great illumination to the Range Top, and has multiple settings to get the right light/ventilation.

• It's a quiet fan with decent finish. On ly complaint would be the light sometimes is flashing but I don't know if it's because of the electrical issues or the fan itself

• The KitchenAid badge which is at eye level is completely crooked. It looks slapped together and cheap. I called KitchenAid to resolve and they were incredibly rude, saying my complaint was over a “sticker” they then directed me to the parts department saying the new hood badge could be purchased. They would not send a technician as the item is “cosmetic”. Hard to believe KitchenAid doesn’t stand by their products.

• We replaced a consumer level hood with this prosumer monster. The look is great, the fan is powerful, and the lights are bright. The removable modules are easy to clean and way better to deal with than the standard screens. The dimming feature on the light could be a little better.

• My house burned to the ground and the rebuilding has permitted me to fill my entire kitchen with Kitchenaid appliances. The kitchen is stunning, a show stropper.

• The mounting holes on the unit are located alight the edges of the unit , good luck drilling into plywood cabinets and hoping it holds. Electrical is also located on the left side( most are located on the right ). Delivery was misleading , KitchenAid said 2 days when actual last mile delivery is 3 weeks out. I returned the item

• 1st one power on and blew... burnt hole in stainless due to 120 leg touching metal from motherboard. supplier said I had to get it serviced which took 2 weeks to find out it needed replacement. replacement came 1 week later with same issue; where is KitchenAid/Whirlpool quality check.

• I bought this a few months ago and it is pretty amazing. It is very strong and has a few settings for adjustment. It works very well. I do wish it had an even lower setting because sometimes you just don’t need too much!

• The control buttons for the fan and lights failed within one year of installation. Had the part replaced under warranty but the new part failed in exactly the same way, 1 year and 3 days after it was replaced so the warranty on the new part expired. We are now having to pay $500 to replace the repair part plus since it's a design or mfg defect, it's likely the new one will fail too. Do not buy this vent hood.
