  • After a five month delay due to a cabinet production snafu, we are finally using our new KitchenAid Range! Still getting acquainted with all the great features; has only been six days so still learning. Clever 3-size burner front/left allows use of different pots/pans close to the user. Large window in oven door provides an excellent view while cooking. Operating knobs have a substantial feel; smooth cooktop and robust oven door handle contribute to overall high-end appearance. Only minor complaint is a long oven pre-heat time, but after further reading the manual, I see there are ways to mitigate that. Overall, very happy with unit; looking forward to

  • I had this unit for only 3 MONTHS, when the day after Christmas it started to smell like melting plastic and the entire touch pad malfunction. Turns out the entire inside (wires) were faulty and hard burned through! The entire stove was a huge safety issue and could have caused a fire. Here we are months later and STILL NO REPLACEMENT OR FIX. we have had to feed a family of 6 using a newly purchased toaster over, hot plate and electric tea kettle. We have called numerous times and get the run around. They never call back when they say. This oven has NOT worked longer than it actually worked. DO NOT BUY THIS! go to another company!!

  • This is the 2nd appliance that was damaged upon arrival. Spent 10K for damaged goods. Looks like the range was dropped from a height of 10’ while in the box. Lower frame is bent on the left front corner. No way the repairman is fixing this on site. May have other unknown damage but doesn’t come with a plug, so haven’t tried to start it up yet. 5 door refrigerator had issues and delivery guys dented up the side also during delivery. I have 3 more appliances that are in storage still boxed. Hoping they weren’t dropped also!

  • I purchased the KitchenAid Slide in Electric Range with warning drawer. Cannot Sulaymaniyah enough how surprised I was (coming from a gas cooktop) at the speed of heating food, the great oven rack extensions (so I don’t have to put your head inside a hot oven), and the ease of the digital controls. This appliance deserves a “6 star” rating on a “5-star” scale

    MoMaz01/18/2020 01:18 AM

  • This is not a self-cleaning oven, so be prepared to get on your hands and knees to scrub it without the help of Easy Off If you cook with a lid on your pot and the evaporation spills under your pan, it will embed that water stain into the glass and you will be scrubbing with the weiman daily cleaner, granular cooktop max, scrubbing pads and a razor tool they provide, just to get the water stain up. Not to mention, spilled food, oil, etc that might occur. The heavy cleaning is also a daily routine. The baking drawer is a joke. 1-1/2 hours to cook a pie. It's more of a warmer. The locked position for the controls keeps shutting off by itself.

  • I bought this range last summer after having a Jenn Air for 35 years. Really spoiled with the features of the Jenn, so I was very critical when selecting a new range. The new range doesn't fit, sticks out too far from cabinet and the height is not tall enough for my 38" high cabinet including countertop. Apparently the legs don't adjust high enough, so I am forced to either get all new countertops or put the stove up on blocks, which looks very tacky. The frame because of the bottom warming drawer isn't strong enough to hold if we braced it with 2 X 4 blocks. I am very disappointed as I have spent a lot of time and money to try to resolve this problem. As for the stove itself, I don't like the Aqua clean. Doesn't seem to clean and then to have to sponge out the water is just another reason not to purchase again. The burners are hard to detect unless turned on as the white dots aren't that helpful, actually detract from the beauty as well as the black top. Always looks dirty and for heavens sake, don't boil over as its unpleasant to clean. I would have rather had a stainless top or possibly white glass.

  • I love the stove in many ways it heats quickly, gooks evenly, controls are a little too sensitive. I am a big kitchenaid fan everything in my old house was kitchen aid and the same when we moved. And this is the first time i feel I need to write a review. The aqua clean does not work I ran it 4 times and the dirt around the probe will not come off no matter how hard i try to clean it, it is awkward to see, because the lights are shining in my eyes. There are other areas that are the same. I do not want to use chemicals can you recommend another way to get this clean like the old days when it just got hot and when done perfectly clean?

    ellie10/20/2016 05:00 AM

  • It took a couple of weeks to learn the methods because it came with a very limited guide. I had to go online to get a real Manuel. It does heat up quickly, & cleans nicely, but I wish it had a thermometer probe. I haven’t tried the oven cleaner yet.

  • So far it’s been great and I love the details of the handle

    Willows05/02/2024 10:32 AM

  • I received this range in October 2017. It was replaced by my dealer the repairman could not fix the heating problems with my oven. Mother board was even replace. the replaced is fine, but the Aqualift system is horrible. Does not matter how many times I run it the oven is never clean. Even with some elbow grease it does not come clean. For the price of this oven it should clean itself. I am 67 years old and it is very hard for me to get on my knees due to knee replacements. I have always been a Kitchenaid supporter but no more. Also the oven takes to long to come to temperature. Not very efficient.

  • I bought a kitchenaid stove it cost $2699.00 it was delivered 6.11.22 the front panel gets extremely hot my 5 year old granddaughter and I was making cookies her arm touched the front up by where the knobs are it left a 2 inch red mark I called kitchenaid they said thats not right.they sent out Fred's Appliance the man said this does not seem right. He called his boss as said that is normal I called kitchenaid there answer we have to go by what the tech said case closed. I will be calling bbb, my local news station and any media I can think of. I am not happy with kitchenaid or Fred's

  • I bought this thinking that it would be a reliable range, but can't really recommend it to others if it's going to require service multiple times within 6 months. It cooks great, looks great but when an error code flashes, the range shuts down and instructs you to call for service. Customer service is great, apologetic- but still you have to wait a week for service, the repairman has to order the part then make a second trip to repair the problem- which is no fault on the repairman since specialized parts are required. The fact is the range should function properly, especially within the first 6 months of use. Expensive purchase that has proven to be a frustrating purchase.

    Nash02/10/2016 06:00 AM

  • We remodeled our kitchen and bought Kitchenaide appliances. A couple of months after installation, I turned the oven on and got an error code that the fan speed was too slow and we should call service. We called and they came promptly and adjusted the fan. A month later, same thing happened :( The dealer ordered a new fan for which we had to wait at least a week so we were without an oven for that time. Since installing the new fan, it's been working great. One thing I don't like is that because the knobs and handle stick out kind of far, if I'm cooking something on the back burners, I'm leaning and it bothers my lower back.

    susuziggy04/02/2016 05:00 AM

  • I bought this 3 weeks ago and cook every day including baking cakes and a full roast dinner with chicken, roast potatoes and parsnips and Yorkshire puddings. It does take up to 15 mins to reach temperature, I am still confused with the convection roast and bake and the option to auto or manual convert temperature and or time and how to increase the oven temp from 350 to 425 without switching it off and restarting. I did call customer service but that was about the timer, it only gives one beep at the end so I am having to put another timer on the counter top so that I don’t miss my cook time. I love the second oven for large roasts!

    LindaJC03/15/2021 09:22 PM

  • Bought this new model of Kitchenaid after previous model lasted 15 years. Beautiful, functional and love the secret extra oven in what is usually just a warming drawer. Can't compare quality built items...worth every penny.

    Piba Shari09/13/2018 05:08 AM

  • We bought this a few months ago, no problems and everything works fine. I have a couple of "annoyances". I order the metal trim package for it so I have no gaps with my countertop. The trim is curved interface so unless your cabinet height is PERFECT it will not align properly. The triple burner are very difficult to find the sweet spot for the desired temperature because you can only rotate the know 1/3 the rotation for each setting, seems you cannot simmer on this burner !! I like the rollout rack and the steam attachment. I do not like to control on the top surface, my older KA was front mounted and it seems I am always accidently hitting the keyboard.

    GregSL01/12/2021 02:33 AM

  • I love this range, has all the features I wanted and enjoyed using it for 2 weeks before the inside glass on the door exploded. Thankfully it was contained within the oven and didn’t harm anyone but when I discovered this has been happening for a couple of years, hello? - this issue hasn’t yet been fixed? The door is being replaced but I have been ovenless for 2 weeks while the door is ordered. This means I have been waiting to have my range fixed for longer than I have used it. Also, the control panel is very sensitive and positioned so it is easy to bump when cooking, so I would suggest the manufacturer offer a double tap control option or a removable/flippable shield for owners who want an added safety feature.

    Deebee1231209/14/2018 05:47 AM

  • We replaced a slide-in electric stove with this product. It fit perfectly into the space of the prior appliance. It looks great and I especially like the pro handles which give it a more commercial look. The oven works well and the cooktop heats up fast. There are multiple options for heating the cooking surface. The bottom drawer can be a warming area or used to proof dough for backing. The only drawback for me is that the cooktop is easily marred by pots. No matter how careful you are, pots will leave a ring around the heating area that cannot be removed by gentle scraping or cleaning. I also don't feel that the cooktop surface cleans well. There are always streaks no matter how many times I wipe and buff the surface. But I like the product in general.

    Joe787802/28/2023 04:05 AM

  • This new oven was installed in our renovated kitchen in March, and despite the fact that the delivery guys connected it incorrectly and the circuit box "blew up" and the stove was ruined, we are now searching for a new range. I am not sure I'd get this one again, as the controls being in the front of the range as they are were super sensitive. Everytime we walked by it seemed, something beeped or a burner would turn on or the oven would start to preheat. This was a bit unsettling to think we may not realize these things and it would be left on. Kitchen Aid has made this suite of cool looking appliance; I'll admit I was a sucker for the cool handles, but there isn't much going on for them behind the cover. Very diappointed in a name I thought I can trust.

    LynnetteB05/15/2019 01:48 AM

  • I have had the range for a month. The oven is absolutely great. The smaller oven is for keeping warm it's not for baking at all. The glass top scratched easily. The top is also hard to clean the edge has a dip all around the edges that collect everything. Would give 5 stars if the top was made better.

    Michaeltx03/29/2024 03:22 PM

  • Purchased 8/20/17. The oven completely stopped working on 11/24/17. Called Kitchenaid for warranty repairs and it took the repair company, Field Appliances a week to come look at it. The repair man said he didn't know what was wrong and just ordered a bunch of parts. He never even looked at the oven. Said they would be back out in another week, 12/7 to repair. 12/6 I do not hear from them so I have to call them and was told no parts, it will be another week 12/15. Again I call them and they said the parts are not in, it will be another week. We went down to Appliance Direct and complained and suddenly Fields Appliance Repair is out to our house the next day 12/16. Repair man looks at oven says he has the wrong parts and it will be another week to fix, next apt 12/22, They call us on 12/21 and tell us the part is not in and it will be another week. This means AFTER CHRISTMAS and 5 weeks without a stove top or oven. We are a family of 4. How do I feed my children? How do you leave a family of 4 without a range for over a month and ruin their Christmas! Absolutely disgusting service plan!!! I have a beautiful range that I can't use!!

  • I have owned this range for two years. It has a very large cavity which is great for very few things. Otherwise it takes a long time to heat up. My cooling fan starting going bad in late 2020, then failed outright in Feb of 2021. I have been waiting since Dec of 2020 for anyone in North America to get the part. To add, we got a suite of appliances. The microwave light switch quit working but we deal with that. my first refrigerator, which we loved the design, and everything about it, was such a lemon they stopped making it and my replacement has a broken drawer and faulty lighting in the freezer. My dishwasher leaked out of the bottom gasket and destroyed my kitchen floor and more. Bottom line, in two years everything kitchenaid broke. I have a kitchenaid toaster that works fine.

    Disappointed cook05/03/2021 11:39 PM

  • I purchased this 5 years ago as a set of 4 appliances. So far the dishwasher from the set is gone, leaked everywhere after the 2nd year and destroyed the wall behind it in my kitchen. Now the oven has been rendered useless by a faulty cooling fan. Five years and two of the four appliances are inoperable???? The glass cooktop is susceptible to burn-on stains and scratching, the cooking elements head to ungodly temperatures unless kept on simmer, and now this. So disappointed in this range.

    MAVenditto03/10/2021 01:54 AM

  • I have had this range for about a year now. I would never buy it again. Above each burner knob are the usual painted-on dots that indicate which burner is controlled by which knob. With just normal cleaning, the dots are long gone, so there is no way to know which knob controls which burner. After countless emails to Kitchenaid's help desk, I gave up because a tree full of monkeys could have written more helpful responses. Also, after you use the oven and turn it off, the convection fan will keep going for an hour or more, in order "to cool" the controls and components. I've never seen another oven that was so delicate that the interior components needed to be cooled. While the convection fan is running for that additional hour (or more), how much is it running up my power bill? Do yourself a favor and buy another brand.
