• We bought this cooktop after hearing great things about induction. Our prior cooktop was also a Kitchenaid, but was a standard electric model. Induction does work great and heats quickly and evenly. Our issue is with the general quality of this product, especially given the price. Within two days of installation the cooktop is scratched from normal use; we didn't have issues like this with our last cooktop. The quality of the ceramic is poor and I'm concerned that within a year it's going to look terrible. The user interface is also poorly designed. The touch interface doesn't come close to the ease of use of modern technology. When you touch it doesn't always register, and the layout is not great. My wife and I both work in tech and expect better for such. high priced appliance (I work in software engineering, she's on the design side). This cooktop has ensured that our next stove will be gas with knobs and not Kitcheaid.

• The cooktop is a striking addition to my kitchen. The flat black glass with the infinity look grid is magnificent. A great addition to my kitchen. And…it works perfectly. I have total control over the temperature and the amount of suction. Even at full speed, the fan is quiet.

• I love that because induction heats up incredibly fast boils water just seconds and cooks evenly. The integrated ventilation works well to remove smoke. Offers a clean modern so classy look to kitchen. The fan is generally noted as being quiet yet effective. My coconut oil perfect the flame burns evenly without burning the food, prevent preventing scorching around the edges of the pot.

• I’m so excited to try this new cooktop!! All I can say now is the glass is very shiny, looks beautiful couldn’t do the installation by myself but once it’s done it instantly upgraded my kitchen super modern. Easy to clean, temperature control is precise, it heats up fast! So far that’s the only thing I can say I will use more and come back if any changes to keep you guys updated!!

• This unit replaced our 25 yr old 36” beautiful but cracked black glass JennAir downdraft cooktop. I won’t get into the worst delivery and poor installation but once installed was only left with hard to decipher instructions and ended up watching very limited YouTube videos. Then the correct information started to trickle in, like most of our cookware needed replaced. Imagine my wife looking at directions, pans won’t heat and only has limited time for cooking something important…and hungry. There was a literal meltdown in the kitchen. Went to Amazon and ordered the very nice 5-layer kitchen aid cookware set. So we have slowly started learning how to cook on this cooktop. The electric cooking wattage seems lower than our previous one and was told the JennAir had a more wattage (made by the same manufacturer) for more money than we could afford…$6k. (Same price as a Nord Stage 4 88 keyboard…I purchased the Roland $4k). All in all, it’s nice and the learning curve is working. KA needs a good YouTube video showing this unit’s capabilities and limitations to cookware spelled out upfront.
