• I bought this complete line of appliances from Kitchenaid. I was lucky enough to get the oven on time ( the refrigerator took 1year !!) But...... Since day 1 this oven had issues, at first with it's 'smart' attachments which sometimes worked and the more often didn't. After two visits from technical services they decided to replace the unit because the smart part wasn't so smart! 1 out of 3 times I use the oven I have to reset it. And this means going to my main electrical panel to do so. I've been like this for more than a year now. And Kitchenaid can't seem to let me know when the replacement unit will be available.

• Not quite fair that I'm reviewing this right now, and I'll have to come back and review at a later date, if this oven ever gets fixed. I ordered this oven 2/12/22. Over a year later, it was finally delivered 2/17/23. Upon unpacking and opening it up, the inner glass of the oven door was broken/shattered and a piece of trim was terribly bent. The company I purchased from attempted to make it right and shipped out replacement parts. They were the wrong parts. I'm still waiting on the right parts from Whirlpool/KitchenAid. This experience has been a complete nightmare.

• We bought this Oven-Microwave combo during Black Friday sale along with a Warming Drawer. Both products were installed couple of weeks ago due to backorder on the Warmer Drawer. The oven is very inefficient. Brownies, pizzas and other foods are taking us 30-40% more time to cook and are turning dry due to the additional time in the oven. We splurged a little more on this product though wish we had just gone with the base model. Our 20 year old Kitchenaid double oven was more efficient than this newer model. We have notified Kitchenaid about this issue and they are sending a repair technician next week.

• I've been using this very beautiful, very expensive oven for the last 6 months and I'm positive now it wasn't a good choice. - The attachments only bring more work and don't perform as expected. For example, the pizza stone won't let you get the oven over 450 F when ideal temperature for a good pizza is 500. So instead of getting a crunchy pizza in 5min. you get a regular pizza in 10 / 15min which is very annoying when you are hosting a pizza party at home. - The app is useless and lots of times you get notifications when you are not even using the oven. - One very simple thing I can't do with this oven: add time to current cooking.

• Within the first six months of using this oven, the fan began making this horrible noise! We've contacted KitchenAid and have had repair techs in our home four times now to try to resolve this issue... Nearly every part has been replaced, yet it continues to make the same hideous noise. We are now out of warranty and the oven still is not fixed. Even though we contacted KitchenAid well within our warranty window, and we are still having the same problems, they will no longer service the oven under warranty. We were offered a discount on parts, but I don't feel that's sufficient. We reported this issue within the warranty period. It should be fixed at KitchenAid's expense, not mine. Avoid this oven at all costs!

• I probably would've given this a higher rating but I was very disappointed in their customer services. I was excited to try the red baking stone that came with the oven and started preheating it according to the instructions provided. Before it completed the preheat I heard a terrible noise, walked into the kitchen and found the stone broken in three pieces. I sent a note to customer service regarding this and received a note back that they couldn't do anything about it. So, no explanation, no replacement, nothing. I also sent a picture of it so they could see exactly what happened and how I had it situated in the oven and everything. I'm disappointed in KitchenAid's customer service and I really hope that nothing goes wrong with the appliance itself because I don't have much faith they will do anything about it. I tried to attach a picture to this review but was unable to get it to attach.

• Kitchenaid has lost their way. The oven failed at 18 month mark. It required both circuit boards and the temp probe to be replaced by my home warranty policy. Just before this - my new Kitchen dishwasher was found as failed as a Manufacturer's defect. It was out of Whirlpool warranty. Home warranty would not cover a mfg defect. They left the freaking bolts out of the top rack mounts. It leaked for 12 months silently ruining my new wood floor. Total loss. This is no longer premium product.

• After waiting 4 months for being back ordered, we finally got our oven. This oven having great tech features lacks “ease of use design”. Specifically the touch panel buttons are hard to identify unless you have a well lit kitchen. The font used by the color touchscreen are small. This oven replaced model KOCE500ESS. Wife was able to operate previous oven without a step stool. The screen harder to read she had to use a step stool. It would be helpful if the Smart Oven iPhone app would operate the microwave. Suggestion, have the oven installed where the touch panel is at eye height.

• We've only had the new combo over a few weeks but we absolutely love it. We replaced GE units that were seperate....the GE products were absolutely aweful from day one.

• Bought this appliance directly from KitchenAid - installed and was working as expected for about less than 6 months and now the control panel is going crazy... does not work consistently... works one day and next time around none of the touch buttons work. Called the company and they are sending an authorized repair guy over in three week just to look at it! then a further 2-3 weeks till the part is ordered and they come in again to install. What does one do without a microwave and oven for over a month, I wonder? No plausible response from KitchenAid whatsoever... their attitude when called, is this is the best we have got, take it or leave it! Absolutely deplorable customer service on a product that is way too expensive but does not work as expected. LESS THAN A YEAR!!!!! Wonder if I was sent a defective product in the first place????????

• We bought this for our kitchen addition/remodel and like the appliance…or as much as we can. THERE IS NO MANUAL OR INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE!! Telling me to go on line is useless as your process is not direct or explanatory. I have attachments I don’t know how to use because of this. Totally frustrating. I prefer a paper copy explaining attachments. If that is possible, please send immediately.

• We bought this appliance and had it installed in July 2024. It worked fine until the end of October 2024. This has one control panel for both the microwave and the oven. The control panel keeps losing power even though when I open the microwave the light still turns on. The oven light however doesn't turn on. Sometimes resetting the breaker works but sometimes it doesn't. We spent well over 6000$ on this product and am so disappointed. Not to mention the is lower powered compared with microwaves from other brands. We have a lot of KitchenAid products and haven't had problems with them, but this is just so terrible. I think their poor quality explains why they only offer a 6 month warranty on this appliance. I just feel like I've been scammed by this product.

• Please, please avoid buying this microwave/oven at all costs. It was delivered in August 2024 and it started to fail within months, the touchpad just would stop working so it became unusable. We had to constantly reset the breaker for it to reset and start working again, they replaced it around December (they wouldn't even install it for us, we had to hire someone to do it) and it broke down again in March. When we contacted KitchenAid again today, they said that they can't offer a return and they'll just send a technician, so I'm stuck with an appliance that doesn't work and will likely stop working again within a few months, when the warranty will probably be expired. Avoid!

• This is a replacement for one i purchased last year. KitchenAid stayed true to its commitment by replacing the entire oven when the previous one had issues. Love the microwave and smart oven. We are dedicated pizza makers and the pizza stone works beautifully.

• So I purchased this oven Oct. 2020. After a weeks worth of use, we found that the microwave oven did not work after using the convention oven feature. The cavity was too warm and we had to wait over an hour for the microwave to work. KitchenAid sent out a service person and he had never seen this issue and after calling his company, they decided to order a control panel. Today is Jan. 29, 2021 and it is still not fixed. Okay, are you ready for more. The reason we bought this so called SmartOven, was for the Steamer and Baking stone attachment. They were supposed to be sent after we registered the oven upon delivery, which we did. As of today, no attachements. Called KitchenAid and they said it will arrive sometime in February. Everytime I called Kitchenaid for any related issues with this oven, I had to wait for more than 1/2 hour to speak with anyone. So, I would heartfully NOT recommend this oven. BTW, Kitchenaid responded to my poor review on the Home Depot site, but the link was not good. And KitchenAid never got in tough with me to resolve this issue. I hope this gets posted.

• Both the oven and microwave are excellently built. The user interface is easy to use and the microwave’s preset algorithms work amazing well. We replaced a 20 year old black KitchenAid built in combination oven with this stainless steel unit. The big outage in my opinion with KitchenAid/Whirlpool is their bad customer service. Every time I contact them I’m left scratching my head wondering how they can be that large a company and have such lousy customer service.

• My wife and decided to spend extra on kitchenaid appliances as they were supposed to be the pinnacle. Unfortunately we had the unit installed for less than 18 months when it started requiring infrequent reset of the breaker because the touch screen wouldn't work. Fast forward 6 months and now every other day we need to reset the breaker to get the touch screen to work. 12 month warranty and kitchenaid has multiple similar reviews stating the touchscreen control boards are going bad within the first 2 years. This sounds like a known issue that should be part of a recall. Not sure who to contact for formal complaints but I find the costs ridiculous for a service call without even the repair or parts. So disappointed and about to start posting reviews everywhere given the commonality of my issues.

• We bought this oven nearly a year ago, registered it when it was installed, yet never received the attachments. It came with the grill, but the steamer and pizza stone were supposed to be mailed to us once registered. I went through all of the necessary steps on the KitchenAid app. Obviously, this is a big reason to buy this particular oven, hence, the one star. As far as the functionality, I find that it heats slowly, but otherwise is fine. The software, though, needs work. I do appreciate the ability to fine tune the microwave/speed oven, but you have to poke too many menu buttons to get what you need. And the timer is way way too soft, even when turned up to highest volume, and it beeps a few times and shuts off on its own. Also, the microwave menu pops up when I open the top door which is super helpful, but the bottom oven doesn't do the same - I have to go in and choose oven, then make my selections. Be careful, too, of the oven glass. The guys installing our's broke it and it is quite expensive to replace. The repair company came out to give us a new door and told us it is particularly fragile. I haven't had any further issues with it, though, under normal use.

• We purchased this unit from HD with the extended warranty on 10/06/17.It worked good up to now when the microwave failed about a month ago. It's a good thing we got extended warranty because after a month of trying to fix it the 4th attempt with the 3rd new part is scheduled for Dec. It seems to be very difficult for the repair people to get technical support from Kitchen Aid. Their hours are very limited. Without the extended warranty this unit would very expensive to repair and it will probably need repairs.

• After waiting several months the oven finally arrived. Scheduled the delivery and installation for Tuesday, August 24, 2021. Turned it one and received a major ERROR. We now have a beautiful oven/microwave installed in our house that does not work! The soonest they could schedule service to our house to look at this is September 3, 2021. No happy with this product! Couldn't really rate product as I have not been able to use it!

• I should have a perfect looking oven and functioning accurately. The main oven isn’t lined up appropriately and I wonder if this inhibits the cooking effectively. I am most dissatisfied with not lining up / closing appropriately. It’s not flush. I had service people look at it twice and say it may correct in time. There was nothing else they could do. For $5,000.00, I should have a perfect oven. This is not. Not happy and I had a KA before with no issues. Can’t believe you are selling something like this. You must be aware that this is an issue.

• The ovens were installed professionally. I immediately realized that there was a problem with the user control interface. The only thing that worked was the "add 30" for the microwave. Fortunately, a local appliance repair shop was able to obtain and replace a new control panel. So far, so good. But I am VERY disappointed and concerned about the reliability of this appliance.

• It looks amazing but doesn't work. I have had it installed 28 days and still haven't cooked in it. It sent and error code and locked me out on the first cook attempt and hasn't been fixed yet. Seriously, it didn't work out of the box. It was flawed from the factory. I have had techs out 2 times with no solution and am finding it difficult to understand how Kitchen Aid is not sending me a replacement ASAP. I own multiple Kitchen Aid products and this experience has me doubting the entire brand. I delayed this review to see how they treat their customers because every brand has a lemon or 2, but now I know. If you buy this unit, hope it works because if it doesn't you spend wasted days having repair people coming to your house and when that doesn't fix it, arguing with them instead of them taking care of you like a high-end brand should.
