• This product is pretty to look at but beauty is only skin deep. Whirlpool has designed this product so that the face of the range hood is adhered to the appliance with DOUBLE SIDED TAPE! The appliance that is above a heat element. Heat and tape do not work together. Within 6 months of owning the range hood, the face fell off and shattered our glass top stove. Whirlpool failed to compensate use for their own mistake. Their support team did replace the face and stick it back to the appliance with double sided tape again. Again, this morning the face fell off again and luckily missed our stove. If you want something pretty but not functional, sure it works. But this product does not work in an everyday functioning kitchen.

• bought this product from reputable dealership in NE. They have since dropped this model. Should have been a warning for us. after the 3 month delay (probably due to Covid?) we installed to come home after several weeks to find the glass front on our kitchen floor. The sticky backed double tape didn't hold . The glass is also chipped. hoping our warranty will cover a replacement glass cover touch plate, with the free shipping.

• I have it installed for about 3 months. Giving me a an anxiety attack middle of the night. Thinking there is break in. Upon checking my kitchen the glass piece shattered all over stove and floor. Beautiful front piece aswell hood. Just the cheap tapes ruined it

• Fan controls unable to turn off boost function when selected, requires disconnecting power supply, as a technician myself, this is similar to a stuck relay, although this is located on a control board and part cost is more than the very premium price paid for the unit. As these models appear to be discontinued by whirlpool the big boxes still have inventory, so beware of this poorly electrically engineered expensive device where parts exceed the MSRP of the assembly, couldn’t give zero stars

• So I bought this a year ago and I've had a tech out 3 times to fix it, waiting for him to come back again because it's still not fixed

• I rent out multiple houses, one is a large single family that came with the old microwave over the range. The microwave didn't do enough for the tenants as when they would kick for larger families the vent on the microwave couldn't handle it. I had one of these installed and not only does it give more headroom over the range but also does a much better job cleaning the smoke and odor. I bought the charcoal filters you easily clip on back and works great. I use it to recirculate instead of venting to outside and works far superior to the microwave.

• I bought this on clearance at the local home depot. It was marked down to 75% of listed price. Upon further inspection, before install, the cause of the clearance was clear. The fan blade had broken at the motor shaft. I am a handy sort of guy and capable of tearing this thing down to the core and rebuilding it several times and not losing a screw in the process, so this doesn't particularly bother me. I however have not had the greatest of luck with finding the part to replace it. Similar appliances from GE have the parts diagram extremely accessible with basic internet searches. Its almost as if Whirlpool would prefer we NOT work on them. Could you send me the parts diagram for this? That way I can order my fan blade and get this thing spinning.

• Bought this for a kitchen remodel. The bottom is canted up at an angle so when you look at it, you see the entire bottom. Why would I want to look at the bottom of the exhaust fan? To top it off, the edge of the filters is blue. Huh? I pick out countertop colors, tile colors, and cabinet colors only to have a fairly bright blue introduced? Also, each of the two filters look different - the do not match. Oh, by the way, our guy hooked it up and it does not turn on! We confirmed there is power going to the unit. Ugh.

• Do not buy. It was good for just 1 year. I need to replace this now. I am so disappointed in product quality.Boost function runs from time to time. It is very unstable and makes you upset many times. Don’t know what to do. Terrible!!!

• Glass front held on with two way tape! Fell off in the middle of Thanksgiving and shattered in all of our food and across 6 feet out along the entire kitchen!

• Purchased a few months ago. Have no issues with the functionality - it works as expected. But as the previous reviewer stated, the design is not at all adequate - it’s an under cabinet unit that tilts upwards and every part of the underside is visible. It’s currently clean because it’s new but as it starts showing it’s age with normal wear and usage, it’s going to look horrible.

• Worst vent to buy, I've had it a little over a year and we've had a repair company out 4 time's replacing parts trying to fix it, now it's out of warranty and it still doesn't work right. You touch the light button and the fan comes on, then you can't do anything with it unless you wait a while then maybe you can get it to shut off.

• I want to retract my earlier review, as it turns out the issue was with the installation, not the unit. Should not have written it while upset. The blue was a very tight fitting tape that we were able to remove, and the fan works. Still not happy with the underside being canted upward so it is easily visible.

• Not impressed with the look once installed. You can see under the unit from an angle. Once the hood was installed, there is a slight angle where you can see under the unit when standing in front a few feet away.
