• We decided to add a working kitchen in our media room as most time is spent there binge watching anyways. SInce it was a smaller setup so a 2 burner cooktop was needed. We are anyway a whirlpool / Kitchen Aid family so first choice anyway was to look at these brands. However i did extensive research on other options available and in the end a Kitchen aid product and a whirlpool product was finalized. Opted for whirlpool product due to better pricing and early availability. Our main fear was that what if its not hot enough and wont work well on our stir fry actions or steaks but its been a few weeks and every thing we did has worked out so well that it surpasses our gas cook top in main kitchen. Whirlpool and kitchen aid always have been our go to brands and they never disappoint.. we do have older built in electric oven an dmicrowave for 10 years. There was slight issue with built in oven and itw as out of warranty but whirlpool went out of the way to get it inspected for free and charged no labor for replacing the borken part in an out of warranty product. This is height of customer service which buys loyal customers to a brand. Included are stove pictures along with other whirlpool kitchenAid products we have and very satisfied with all.

• I bought this around 4 years ago and have had two major problems: 1. The knobs are cheap plastic ( for $750! ) and wore down completely in just a couple of years. We have to spray paint them regularly to keep them looking nice. 2. The rheostat on one of the burners just broke and must now be repaired.

• Bought this to replace a 25 year old cooktop. I redesigned my cooking area, I added a 16X21 commercial flat top griddle. Griddle is beside the new cooktop. I had to do some minor modifications and it looks great.

• I bought this cooktop for a rental 2/23 but didn’t start using until 8/23. Renter just told me…it never gets red, 20 minutes to boil water, then another 20 to cook pasta. A $700 waste of money.

• I bought this to use in my "mother-in-law suite." I didn't need anything big and this was the perfect size for my needs. Also, of course, the Whirlpool name carries a lot of clout with me.

• Cut out barely fits in our space so we’re going to turn it sideways and see if the cable is long enough to get to the box. THEN we can cut. Not for the faint of heart do it yourselfer

• Had this Cooktop less than a year. Never heats up enough to boil water. I put a pot with 5 quarts of water on high for 2 hours - never even got to point with bubbles.

• So far, the unit is functioning well, however the glass top leaves permanent scratch marks even when being very careful to not stir contents in pots.
