  • I live in an apartment complex and these are the "New" so called washers that they are using now. When i received my washer it worked okay for about 1 week and 1/2 and then just stopped working altogether. I can still turn on the washer but the only thing that happens is a time of 2:20 for a wash cycle and it won't fill up it won't run it won't even let me select different options. I called the apartment maint. and of course no help they are clueless. Called Whirlpool and they claim they have never heard of the issue i'm experiencing. I have unplugged it, cleaned the filter, held buttons, detached and reattached hoses and nothing happens. Worst washer ever!!!

  • We bought this washer for our park model. We have had it about two years but because it is seasonal used it less than nine months and less than 25 times. Motor board went out and we were told it would cost over $1000. I totally understand the one year LIMITED warranty but you would think a product would last for more than a few washes.

  • Our RV washer suddenly turned on by itself. We had just turned on the battery to the coach and it started running. We tried to turn it off, but it would not reset. It sounds like a water pump is running, so we connected the water line to it in hopes that the cycle would complete itself, but to no avail. We had to finally shut off the circuit breaker to stop the machine. I saw a similar post from another RV owner having the exact same problem. Seems like a circuit board is faulty with this unit and that it is a manufacturing problem. The unit is only 3 years old and used not more than a few dozen times since it is in a motorhome.

  • This unit came in our new RV that we picked up on July 9, 2020. In Aug. went for week long trip washer worked like a champ, fast forward to Sept went again for a week, threw a load of laundry in and den code showed on display did the trouble shoot and found out it had gone into demo mode, followed instructions, got out of demo mode reload laundry, press the appropriate cycle and machine does nothing. try calling support ,can't ever get thru, so try live chat and they tell me to try and schedule repair online, won't give me a date for over a month, get on chat again then get excuse that their system is down. Sounds like a load of crap to me. VERY DISSAPPOINTED!

  • this collection is terrible! washer and dryer always shows problem. After got this new machine(only use few times ), first is the door can't open, and the machine can't work well. we are waiting too long to have a local technician fix it(parts exchanged) and after about half year, the washer and dryer stop working again!! and we have to pay a lot to fix it or purchase again the extend insurance. how I can imagine to buy a combo insurance every year, we have to pay hundreds dollar and I am worried about next year we need to fix those stupid machines again! no more cover, unless we pay the customer service person is nice, very patience.

    Elina07/17/2023 08:51 AM

  • I moved into a brand new condo and this washer/dryer combo came in the suite. Within a few months the washer randomly went into demo mode. Every time I turned it on the water pump would make noise, none of the programing would work and the door would stay locked. I tried everything I could find online to fix it but had to call a technician. He had to replace the motherboard. Now, not more than two months later it's doing something similar, the water pump is going, the programing doesn't work and the door is locked. I've been doing laundry for 35 years and have never come across this so I know it's not something I'm doing. I think it's just a cheaply made washer unfortunately.

  • We purchased this washer about two months ago. It washes clothes fine, but the timer is the problem. In the middle of the cycle the timer will jump 10, 12, 60... minutes. You never know how long a load is going to take. Several times the washer ended with the timer at 12 minutes. It is very frustrating. My husband has contacted both the store we purchased from and Whirlpool and they say this is just how it works. That is ridiculous! Why does a washer timer stop on anything but 0??!!! I have a small area for the washer to fit. If I had another option, I would return this washer.

    RVtraveler06/04/2019 12:55 PM

  • We got this washer with a 2022 Fleetwood RV. The first time we went to use it the washer failed. Called a local technician and even though it passed all the tests, it still would wash clothes on a normal cycle. Tech said it needs a new controller board which is backordered “weeks”. Now I have to try to work with Whirlpool to find and install the part on a brand new washer while on the road. Waste of time!

    Alan03/07/2022 02:32 PM

  • I bought this unit for my rental condo property and within the first year of purchase, there was a faulty timer and latch issue. Under warranty, we were able to fix it for free. Then a few month after the 1 year manufacture warranty ran out, the control board was at fault and I had to scramble to find a technician who would diagnose it, but the part, and fix it. Mind you, I paid out of pocket to fix this. One month after that, the control board needed to be replaced so I got the technician to come out again and replace the part after consulting with a whirlpool technician. Again, I paid for this repair. Then after few cycles the washer stopped working and issue was related to control panel AGAIN so a SECOND control board was replaced to fix the SAME issue. Issue did not resolve after a few cycles of wash and the issue occurred AGAIN and for the THIRD time and the control panel board was replaced. The washer is STILL not working. I reached out to the whirlpool to complain about this unit to which they said that there has been no reported issue/recall with this model and they can’t do anything because it was out of 1 year manufacture warranty. I told them this was not common for a product to breakdown this quickly and asked for compensation. They offered me to buy a monthly warranty and have their technician come and diagnose the issue or give me a loyalty discount to get another product. Urm. NO! I am not going to spend MORE money trying to fix an issue that seem to be an inherent problem with this model. Looking at the reviews I say that whirlpool was just dodging the issue and not taking accountability for this product. A good company will stand by their product and do what it takes to acknowledge the issue and help resolve it. This has been a VERY disappointing and expensive experience and I will be replacing the entire washer with another brand that is more reliable. And oh - I just noticed that they are closing out this product ! Great !

  • Works great for our apartment! Having a touchscreen panel makes me nervous as sometimes the power is finicky, but usually turns on after a few tries. If a load is too light, the machine might not drain well and the clothes come out sopping wet. Otherwise, the compact machine does very very well!

    Momster11/03/2023 04:04 AM

  • This washer is beyond terrible. I have a washer from the late 90s that still works and this one puked out in 2 years. Planned obsolescence at it’s peak. America used to be great. But with every other manufacturer in every other industry making more crappy products that are more expensive, it’s clear the technology is being used to exploit the American population rather support it. Washer gets stinky all the time too, by the way. Cycles wouldn’t start. Sometimes I’d often have to run multiple spin cycles to keep clothes from being soaking wet before popping them in the dryer . This is a malicious product.

    AhmedMuhammad06/07/2024 11:49 PM

  • This washer was a replacement for our existing (broken) washer. I did not have a choice which model I purchased as the other offerings did not pair with my existing dryer. There is no longer hot and cold water inlets on this machine. It makes its own hot water....hhmmm the power on button is strange...you press and hold (lightly) but for awhile while the machine turns on and if you don’t pay attention when turning on the machine your just simply set the delay button. I am NOT a fan of this machine and would not recommend it...and every time I go to use this machine I question if it is actually going to work.

  • Bought Whirlpool washer, dryer, dishwasher, and Refrigerator-freezer a little more than a year ago. That was stupid. Bought the extended warranties. Thinking that was smart. No problems so far with dishwasher or fridge (crossed fingers) but washer does marginal job of cleaning clothes (cannot use bleach) and dryer takes forever to dry clothes. Six months ago dryer stopped working and control components needed replacing. Took weeks to get parts and fixed. Last month washer stopped working and control components on it needed replacing. Again, weeks for parts and repair. All this for controls that are difficult to use. Thinking of saving laundromat expense and aggravation by pitching these in the ditch and replacing (not Whirlpool).

    Jrmrph05/12/2019 02:33 AM

  • We bought this machine 4-years ago. The supplier, Bray and Scarf, would not give us a warranty unless we also purchased a matching dryer. They said this was Whirlpool policy. Regardless, after 4-year it just stopped working. The diagnostic performed by a whirlpool certified technician showed that the control board probably needs replacing. As this isn't made anymore all parts are hard to come by. Apparently the cost of finding, buying and replacing the board will be as much as a new machine. It seems that this is way it is these days. Any machine is good for 3 -5 years, then you throw it away and get another.

    Big Arthur04/30/2023 09:09 AM

  • The machine had a board problem, I paid ~$300 for the board to be replaced (30% of the price). Luckily it was only the labour and the board was covered by the warranty. Now again the board is acting up, the CS cycle works completely with no error code but the machine doesn't start to spin. The board is $500-$600 and the labour again $300. This is more than the price of the machine ($789 on the website Jan 19 2024). Someone in my city is selling this machine for $250 on Kijiji for the same reason. So I feel I am not alone. This "Italian" machine should last more than this..

    saeed01/19/2024 10:31 AM

  • This washer is the biggest piece of junk. The quality is horrible! We had it in our vacation condo and it hasn't been used much and already it needs a new computer. Reddit has pages of reviews and discussions with the same issue. I am surprised this washer hasn't been recalled because clearly it is defective. The positive reviews on here use it in an RV so I'm sure after a second camping season and a few uses they will have the same issue.

    Mikeysgal7706/05/2024 12:58 PM

  • The washer came with the purchase of a new RV. Its performance has been spotty, inconsistent and unreliable. It finally gave up after a month in-service. Now the challenge is the coordination of having the RV dealer remove the unit, schedule the Whirlpool service and then reinstall the unit. I live in the RV for the winter months and this repair could take weeks or more. This is so impractical it probably won't happen. After spending RV dealer pricing for the washer / dryer, I am resigned to using the campsite laundromats for the duration of this initial trip. I couldn't be more disappointed.

    DougS01/27/2022 02:20 AM

  • Don't be fooled by whirlpool's responses under people's reviews. They don't really try to remedy the situation. All that they do is tell you that there's no warranty beyond one year and then give you a discount code for 15%. Ironically, there's a 10% discount code for everyone on the whirlpool website so this 'generous' offer doesn't really give you that much. And as if anyone would want to buy this machine again.

    NadiaK02/02/2024 06:18 AM

  • This unit came with the condo I purchased so I had no choice. It quit working after 6 months of use due to a faulty water level sensor. 6 months after it gets fixed, it breaks AGAIN, same problem. Then it proceeds to break 3 times in the span of 3 MONTHS. Main control board had to be replaced twice already. Now the machine is out of warranty and will cost nearly $300 to fix. Don't waste your money on this unit. I will be getting rid of this unit and purchasing a new (not from Whirlpool) washing machine which is a bummer since this unit only a year and a half old.

    Emily06/27/2022 02:40 AM

  • Ordered new motorhome in 2022. It came with this washer in it. We have never used the washer or dryer. Last week when walking by the motorhome we herd something running inside. It was the washer It had turned on by itself. Tried shouting it off but would start back up. Had to turn off with the breaker to stop it. Called Whirlpool they sent out a tech. and found a bad control board. He ordered and replaced board. Whirlpool then said it is out of warranty. and I owe for the repair. This is a safety hazard. I call Whirlpool again and explained this has never been used or turned on. They said there is nothing they can do because it is out of warranty. This should not happen it could of started a fire and burnt down everything.

    BBJ164312/19/2024 07:57 AM

  • Unit came with a new construction condo so there was no choice. After 1 year the control board failed and parts are 6-8 weeks away. Customer service practically never picked up the phone after being on hold for 45 min. Run away form this Machine and everything Whirlpool. I gave them a chance and they failed miserably. Now I need to buy a brand new unit after only 1 year of service (a few months after warranty expired)

    Kimzy07/17/2021 12:26 PM

  • Bought a new Motorhome with this unit in it in 2020, wouldn't work at all. Dealer put a new printed board in it. Soon it wouldn't work unless we tripped the breaker on and off with each use. Traveled America for a year, and half the time did laundry mats. Finally landed in Georgia for the winter and the local repair center got three codes out of it. After two fixes it exceeded it's worth. Can't get Whirlpool to answer the phone, but they're quick to sell you some parts. 99% failure rate with this boat anchor, and no support. DO NOT BUY A MOTOR HOME WITH THIS PRODUCT IN IT! Fleetwood is the absolute worst! Run! Don't walk away!

    P.O'd.12/10/2021 07:03 AM

  • We bought a motorhome with this unit in it. After a few weeks, we found we had a water flow issue, but by the time we resolved it, the washer errored showing the heater relay was not functioning. According to the manual, it is either troubleshoot the heater or get a new Appliance Control Unit (ACU). I ordered a new ACU at $300+ and got it swapped out from the older discontinued part number. Only problem is that the connector for the door relay on the original harness is not what the new board has. There appears to be a terminal for the old harness, however there are no electrical contacts, so you have to use the new connector. At first, I thought this was a defective ACU, so I went through the process of ordering another ACU and returning the first one. This one also has no electrical contacts, therefore, it is a design change. I then contacted the Technician Hotline number and waited for 30 minutes only to be told that they have no information on the connectors and that I will most likely have to order a brand new wiring harness (also $300+) and rewire the insides. So, I am very frustrated with what could have been a simple fix mainly due to the awful, AWFUL general phone and chat support and the less-than-helpful Technician Hotline (I get the response, but not very satisfied with it). I am considering looking into whether a Miele or other quality brand will fit in its spot.

  • Hi. We are a property management company and purchased this appliance for our rental unit. It was purchased in 2021 since the beginning we had problems. It was reported that the washer was not working and we were able to catch the problem on 11/8/2022 the warranty expired on 12/21/2022. The warranty techs reported the control board needed to be fixed which we thought they did on 2/15/2023. The tenants reported a problem that the washer door hinge wasn't opening 8/6/2023. We sent our own repair man and he stated that the control board needed to be changed which we thought it was. We called whirlpool and they said that the machine is no longer under warranty despite the techs giving us a non working control board. Can someone contact either by contacting us or emailing us . Thank you
