I bought the fridge 2 weeks ago. The metal on the outside of the door is constantly wet. Water drops fall on the floor. The Whirlpool service has been a disaster, they only say that it is normal. Something I highly doubt, I have friends who have the same fridge and it doesn't happen to them. They haven't explained why the water is there, which goes beyond condensation or humidity. If it is because of the temperature, then perhaps adjusting the temperature would help control it, but the technician hasn't explained anything to me about it. Only that it is normal, that they regret the situation and that they have closed the case. If the water continues, corrosion will begin soon.

The wine cooler looks great and works well, however the LED display is failing after only three years of use. The display should last a lifetime, so clearly this is a defect in quality or manufacturing, however Whirlpool will not even warranty the part!

I have had this model for less than 3 years. It has never seemed like it held the correct temperature and seemed to hum alot. You could not reset the temperatures that it was set at. One day, it beeped non-stop until it changed to say Hi for both temperatures.A day or two later it completely shut down. I called for service and was told it was shot! That was about a year ago. Miraculously , we had a power surge in our house and it seemed to come life again. Tonight it went on a beeping fit again and is now back to saying Hi. I guess it is truly done!

I love this Wine Center. Drawers move easily in and out. Dual temperature for upper and lower. Plenty of room for all sorts of wine, etc. The ONLY thing that we were upset about and my husband wrote to complain was in the drawings that gave dimension specifications, it was not accurate!! You MUST give yourself more room on top and sides for easy insertion. Both my husband and contractor measured at least 5 times prior to building the hole where this cooler was going. When it came time to put in, it didn't fit. It was too big, even after taking the adjustable feet off. So...please give yourself a little extra room to get this in and you'll love it once installed.

I recently submitted a review on this wine cooler that was less than positive due to a failed display. Whirlpool responded by saying "we would like to look into this further" and then posted the same customer service number that I spent 2 hours on the phone with initially. Don't be fooled by their veiled attempts to make it sound like they mitigate problems or complaints. They have my email address, but I've received nothing from them directly. Still, very poor customer service.

I like the wine fridge's looks. Very clean and blends in nicely with my kitchen. The temperature and controls are no problem. For me, the door hinge is tricky. I need to open the door grester than 90 degreesto pull out the wine racks. As a result, the racks usually get hung up on the rubber gasket that seals the door. In addition, my previous wine fridge (LG) had a stationary bottom rack to hold open bottles; this one does not. Finally, you have to manually close the door and double check it stays closed. Several times the alarm has sounded due to an open door.

High quality appliance and love the look and capacity. This appliance holds double the amount of wine compared to another product I still own and integrates nicely with my other Whirlpool appliances. I did have trouble moving into the custom space under the counter top, but this falls on my builder and not the appliance. Also, you have to open the door completely in order to pull out the sliding racks as it sometimes catches on the rubber seal. It's really not a big deal and have gotten used to it after opening/closing it a bunch of times. So far, I'm very impressed and satisfied.

Bought this model. First one came dented, refused delivery. Second one gave out in less than 30 days. Service company couldn’t fix it, parts back ordered indefinitely. Whirlpool won’t replace or refund my money. Stay away!!!!!

When our existing Jenn-Air wine cooler died and no appliance group could fix due to parts issues, I did a lot of research on the replacement options. Whirlpool had a better quality product. Many others have racks that don't slide well and they just don't look good. Also, many were not quiet. We are very happy with our decision. But if you are adding this product to an existing 24" wide undercounter space, It's tight. We had to modify. The specs online don't match actual product. Look at the product owner's manual for more accurate dimensions.

paid $1,000 for a top quality wine cooler and right out of the box, it is horribly loud. When it shuts off it's like listening to airbrakes . After contacting support, here is the answer i received when asking about both items "Our certified technicians are best suited to diagnose the appliance failures and advise what part or parts are needed to be replaced on a unit." i asked if the cost is covered under warrantee and got no response. - very disappointed in what is traditionally know a top of the line product.

We bought this refrigerator less than a year ago. Cost was about $1000.00 As of last night, it has malfunctioned twice. Fortunately it is still under warranty but I'm concerned it will break down again after the warranty expires. It was difficult finding the company that was going to service the cooler after the first malfunction. I called the number in the manual but was told they didn't do the service calls. It took several calls to different numbers until I finally hooked up with the right people. During one of my calls, the person on the phone tried to sell me an extended service plan. Unbelievable. The service tech came out, and after inspecting the cooler determined that two fans were not working. He had to order the parts and two weeks later returned to "fix" the problem. The cooler worked for two weeks and then last night malfunctioned again. It's real easy to know when there is a problem because the cooler makes a beeping noise that can only be resolved if you unplug it which means pulling it out from the custom cabinet made for it. A real pain. As I pulled it out, I noticed the side walls were extremely hot. I have noticed this same problem now on both break downs.I have a feeling this is due to a poor design and that the ventilation space under the cooler is insufficient to keep the the electronic parts cool and working. When the cooler IS working, I find the space between the shelves are not high enough to hold the wine bottles without scraping the labels. The shelves themselves are made to only hold narrow bottles. Not really designed to hold 46 bottles of various widths. Also, the upper compartment can only be set for 50 degrees or lower. Too cold to store expensive red wines. To say I am unhappy with this cooler is an understatement. I'm going to try and return it for a full refund,

New Wine cooler refrigerator that came with NEW house Failed after running for just 5 days. Tech was great in responding but said a less expensive LG compressor was installed but real issue was power supply board not working. Still waiting on part

I am somewhat disappointed in this wine center. First I can’t set the temperature I want, the lowest it will go is 41 degrees. Secondly it is SO loud. When it shuts off the whole thing shakes and the sound while it’s running is quite obnoxious.

It’s a nice looking wine fridge, but it is very noisy. I think the compressor is compromised. We’ll see how the warranty works.

Pros - Love the two temps for whites and reds. Does a great job cooling as expected. Cons - replaced a JennAir unit (also made by Whirlpool) and the dimensions for depth and height were different. You’d think with an under counter product that the company wouldn’t make these types of changes. We had to make cabinet modifications to get it to fit. Also, you need to be able to open the door further than 90* to get the shelf out past the gasket. Terrible design.

Bought it about 2 months ago. Good looking. Was a bit taller than the published measurements so I need to take the feet off to fit in the space. The shelves are a bit tight for the certain styles of wine bottles (Pinot Noir) and thus rub when pulling out the shelves. Double controls work well. Need to open the door 100% to pull out the shelves or it rubs against the rubber seal. Overall a very nice unit.

Torn the entire kitchen out, burned the cabinets in the back yard. Had custom cabinets built and ordered all matching color appliances from "Whirlpoolinsidepass.com" Saved a bunch of money and all delivered at once. Wife loves them. Only time will tell how they hold up. But w got the extended warranty as well and I have never had an issue with Whirlpool before

I bought this several months ago. It took a couple of months to come in. I had to switch the handle to a left opening position. The instructions explained the handle switch and without to much trouble o did it. It would be great if you could order cooler to open either way. I like the metal rack pull out shelves. It was a good purchase.

I was apprehensive to order this online, but I am completely happy with all aspects of this wine fridge! I put this in my finished basement that is very quiet, and I could not hear this run...almost silent! I'm comparing this to a Frigidaire unit I had that ran on Butane and had a terrible gurgling sound when the compressor was not running (issue with refrigerant system design). Excellent construction quality, shelf spacing (accommodates a good mix of bottle sizes - sparkling, whites, reds), dual temps zones, lighting, and simplistic controls make this a very nice appliance. As was mentioned in a previous review, it should be noted that the door needs to be opened more than 90 degrees to slide the shelf out without rubbing the door seal, so ensure you have a minimum of 12 inches of clearance to the hinged side of the door (door is reversible) for a distance of 2 feet from the face of the fridge. Maybe the seal could be moved to the frame instead of being on the door?

I bought the wine cellar on line and it is exactly what we wanted. Delivery was as promised and the appliance is a welcome addition. Some times I do hear the compressor run but it is quiet compared to other units I have researched and listened to. Well worth the money.

Bought this about 2 weeks ago to replace a very noisy off brand unit. I have been very pleased with this unit and love how quiet it is. The wine stays at a very nice temp and the design looks great in our kitchen.

This wine refrigerator is great. So quiet you do not even know that it is running. Delivery was seamless and they brought it to the location that I needed it and unpacked it.
SABB07/24/2024 12:30 AM
The cooler works as advertised and fit in the space available. Note: The door needs to be opened more than 90% in order for the trays not to hit the door rubber seal.
