• I bought this microwave less than a year ago and the frame on the door is already falling off. I sent a message on the website a week ago and still no response. I'll be sure to stay clear of buying another one of this brand in the future.

• We needed to replace our old (20 years) microwave. This one is working perfectly! I love the look and it is quiet while cooking. The ending beep is loud but you are able to turn it off. It has a sticker on the inside of the microwave as a guide to tell you about the different features. This microwave is working as it should. It was reasonably priced and looks great in my kitchen. Hoping we will have it a long time!

• I bought it in November and Love how quiet the exhaust fan is ( it is vented outside) it has plenty of power. As far as its operation, I couldn't be happier, but my wife just noticed that the plastic across the bottom of the door is cracked in two places and I am going to have to make a warranty claim on it. Our last whirlpool microwave did the same thing, not sure if its a design flaw or what.If it wasn't for that I would rate the microwave at five stars.

• We bought this microwave a little over six months ago. About four months in the plastic piece across the bottom that holds the door in place Half broke Off . So now every time we go to open the door or close that we have to hold it so So the glass face doesn't fall off . It's upsetting that something that is should last years doesn't even last four months. I would not recommend this microwave to anyone

• I like the look, the size, the turn table, and the faster cooking speed that makes it more economical to use. It replaced a very old (20+ years) unit that was literally falling apart. The control panel isn't bright enough. It would be better if it each selection was a brighter color or would have a backlit panel. The dark gray inside makes it hard to see even though it has an internal light. I'd prefer the inside to have been a lighter color. I regret not going to our local Home Depot to look at each model prior to my purchase. I definitely do not agree with only being given a 48-hour return. That's barely enough time to make sure everything works. It's the same with the nearly $2000 we paid for the new washer and dryer. Home Depot is only concerned if there's any cosmetic damage, not whether the appliances they sell work properly. They should allow at least 30 days for returns. I won't purchase any appliances from Home Depot again because of this. The only reason we made the purchases was to use the interest-free payment plans and the great sale prices of over 50% less.

• My Whirlpool microwave was recommended by a trusted local appliance dealer. I was shown an older model and purchased this one sight unseen. It works beautifully, of course, but certain design elements are just annoying. First and foremost, the interior is dark charcoal gray. What were they thinking?? To make matters worse, there is one low-wattage bulb on the interior. So it is impossible to watch the item you're heating. I like that there is a mute button to avoid the beep every time a button is pushed. But at the end of each use, you must press "Cancel" to turn off the word "End" and return to the clock. Who thought that was a good idea? And finally, the clock. This probably wouldn’t bother most users, but my preference for precision demands that each of my kitchen clocks be in sync. But the auto-locking clock, five seconds after the time is entered, makes syncing unnecessarily tricky. Bottom line, I can't recommend this particular Whirlpool model.

• Needed to replace my old microwave that was made in 1995!!!. It was installed when our home was built. Had great results with the old one and wanted to use the same brand so it would fit in the same area as the old. It is a bit larger but it works and looks great...I had to order it but it was well worth it.

• We purchased this microwave to replace one in my father in-law’s home. He is 92 and has impaired eye sight. What we liked about the Whirlpool microwave is the simplicity of the controls. He can use the one touch buttons to perform several cooking operations without worrying he will over cook his meals.

• Decided to go with this Whirlpool to replace the GE that didn’t last 2 years. So far so good other than we don’t like the gray interior. Makes it hard to see what’s in it cause the lights not bright enough. Basic functions, but it does what we need!

• One word. Simplicity! Has all features in one package. Installation was easy. The template needed for drilling the mounting holes was printed on the shipping box. Simply cut the template from the box and you have a rigid template.

• I bought this unit to replace a 20 year old GE over-range microwave oven. An important feature for me is that the signal buzzer can be silenced with the press of one button. I usually wake up earlier than my wife, so we both appreciate this. So far I have tried manual time/power mode, sensor reheat, and popcorn modes -- all work well. The installation instructions and user manual are both clearly written. Warranty registration was easy. The only features I wish for that is lacking is setting a sequence of operation, for example "wait 10 minutes, 2 minutes on high power, 10 minutes on 20% power". I had this capability on a previous microwave oven and like it. Overall I am very pleased with this microwave oven.

• Very disappointing. The microwave stopped heating in less than four weeks after install. It’s almost 10 weeks and we are still waiting to get it repaired. Several calls to whirlpool on hold for a long time. Several delays, including part was not ordered. Part was out of stock in arrived damage.. We have to pay out-of-pocket and get reimbursed would not recommend. They even tried to sell us an extended warranty after discussing our problem with them

• I bought this microwave several weeks ago and am getting used to using it. It is a little different then last one in that it takes longer to do what you want it to do cause you need to press more buttons to get what you need done and still doesn't defrost etc with numbers differing then what I am thinking I punched in. It is also very loud as opposed to last one which is kind of annoying and also since the inside is now grey instead of white, it is harder to see where any food may have splattered and needs to be cleaned up. Also don't like that I can't see through the dark glass how things are cooking inside and the bell that rings when things are done is very loud and annoying.

• I was not all happy with this product. I had for less then 30 days when I died. We purchased from Douglass on 7/22/2025 a Whirlpool WMMS3130RW Microwave invoice # 30152. Tonight my Wife was going to warm up some gravy and when she started the Microwave we heard what sounded like a loud "spark" sound. The Microwave continued to work, but when she took the gravey out of the Microwave it was still cold - so we tried to warm it again and it seemed like the Microwave was working until we took the gravey out and it was still cold. Scott installed the Microwave about a week after we purchased it. So we are only talking about a month.

• I purchased the unit about a month ago and so far, all is working as advertised. Installation was much easier than I expected. I replaced an old LG unit, which of course, had different mounting holes than the new unit. However, the template that was included with the new unit was exactly what was needed to accurately plot-out the new hole locations and successfully secure the new unit in place. I am still learning how to use the new unit, as its operation (key sequences) are a bit different from the old unit, but change is good. Am not a big fan of the large Whirlpool name on the front of the unit. I understand branding, but perhaps a less-in-your-face logo in the lower corner of the unit would be more appealing for me at least.

• We purchased this microwave for its good price & similar features & button arrangement to the model we were replacing. The instructions on how to use the various features were minimal & I couldn't get the power feature to work. I had to call the store to see if I was missing something or if it was a lemon. It turns out you have to put the power in by percentage, ie. 70 for what we used to put in as just 7. Nowhere in the instructions was that mentioned. Now that I know how to do it, everything seems to work fine except that power option doesn't always come up. The same button is used for "cook time" AND "power." You just press the key a 2nd time to enter the power...but it doesn't always register. So I think that is not a good design.

• I have only owned this microwave (WMMS3130RZ) and so far it works well and looks great. My only complaints are that (1) the interior lighting could be much brighter. The dark interior color and black glass face make it difficult to see the inside while it is cooking. (2) The underneath lighting could also be much brighter, especially since the lamp is mounted well to the rear of the underside. And finally, (3) the keypad should be illuminated. It is very difficult to read in a dark kitchen. Otherwise, for the money I paid for it on sale, it is well worth it and it is great modern looking microwave that so far functions very well.

• I bought this days ago and had it installed. Now I find that it's physically impossible to remove the vent grille to replace the charcoal filter, despite 2 resident engineers working at it for over an hour. I ordered a technician visit, but he called to say that it's true; one may eventually wrangle the grille off, but then you'll have even more trouble getting it back on. If I had him come out, I would then be charged for the visit. He said to just leave it there forever and never change it. There's no way to contact Whirlpool except another 25 minutes on hold; and the first time, they didn't acknowledge the design problem. So why would another call help?

• I purchase this mountable microwave 3/2025. The microwave is absolutely gorgeous, pleasant to look at. I love the mini settings offered for cooking, I use them all. The light underneath the microwave helps when cooking on top of the range and as a night light during the evening. The microwave is very spacious to hold large size dishes for cooking for large families.

• Just got it today so too early to tell about the product and how it is working. The JB Hunt delivery team for today was excellent and they ensured I was happy before leaving. NO dents this time, that makes me happy. Future orders I will ask for the same guys. I will review the appliance in a few weeks after I know everything is good. It looks great and I like the counter depth look in my small kitchen. I also like the fact that the ice maker is in the freezer which has a large capacity. Great for filling coolers with ice for the beach. The door is clean looking with the water dispenser inside the refrigerator. No more slopped up stainless from a door dispenser.
