• This was given to me by the energy save program here in Canada. I'm happy with the fridge and I intend to upgrade my dryer with whirlpool if possible. I am satisfied with everyone involved

• I am appalled at the condition of this Fridge as it was installed. It came with scratches which you are replacing the doors. The biggest disappointment is the plastic protection covering. There is no way to remove it completely. How are you supposed to get it out from underneath the handles, rubber seals, etc. even the install couldn’t remove it. I’m an elderly disabled person with crippled hands, so I’m left with the plastic sticking out under handles, etc. if a razor blade is used it’s going to scratch the surface. I bought all Whirlpool appliances because of the name brand was superior quality I thought. Pleased with dishwasher and microwave. But the refrigerator is cheap and can you imagine plastic sticking out??? I feel you should give me some kind of compensation, since it’s too late to get refund from Home Depot.

• I have a Whirlpool fridge with what must be a very common design flaw that apparently no one can help me with. The 2 top glass shelves are too short and are constantly falling down anytime they shift. They are adjustable and only long enough to hang on the tracks about a 1/8" on either end. They need to be at least 1/2" longer in order to fit snugly and not fall so easily. I spent over 30 minutes explaining the "simple problem" to 2 different people online and then also called their customer service line as well. They had no solutions other than suggest I pay for a service call for someone to come and tell me what I already know.

• I have had this fridge and it is just over 5 years old. I am disappointed as the fridge is freezing the food and 2 service people have been in and unable to diagnose the issue. They quoted me $390/hr to further diagnose. I am purchasing a new fridge, but I very disappointed by the warranty by whirlpool and the workmanship.

• I bought this new refrigerator about 3 weeks to replaced my older one, which was not very efficient. The new one is probably more efficient, but seems to run more than I would expect. The only other downside for me is that the bottom drawers are not deep enough to store much for fresh vegetables and fruit. Also, because my house is 130 years old and the doors are not as wide as newer homes, we had to take a lot of things (doors and other connecting items) off the unit in order to get it into the house (that's just a note for those with older home and narrow doors)

• I have had this Fridge twice and BOTH WENT OUT. The second one (the replacement went out after 2 MONTHS). The first one I had for about 15 months. It went out and I lost hundreds of dollars in food. Called support in which the lady mentioned that they had been having issues with this model. It took a little over two months to receive the replacement. The replacement was the same model. I had it 2 months, and the same exact thing happened again!!!!! Lost hundreds of dollars in food, once again. Cant wait to waste hours of my time going through this process yet another time. And, cheers throwing away hundreds of dollars worth of food for a second time.

• This fridge was provided in the new apartment for seniors that we moved into 2 months ago. The layout of our apartment is such that we required a left-handed fridge rather than right-handed. This puts the light switch on the opposite side of the door so you often turn out the light when reaching in because your arm hits the switch. Unfortunately, the worst part is that the switch is sharp and took a chunk of skin off my arm when I was extracting an item from the fridge. I am still nursing this injury after almost 2 weeks. I will have a lasting scar from this injury. So if purchasing this fridge, do not change the door orientation as it may cause injuries

• The screws at the bottom of the freezer door do not come out and therefore we cannot install the freezer door handle. I have issued a claim to the extended warranty company but they will not honour this defect.

• This fridge has nothing but good shelves.the bottom trays are easy to open and close.no struggling to get them close.Lots of space with the lighting that makes it easier to see.The lights are a very pretty colour but yet strong enough to light everything up to see everything. The side shelves couldn’t ask for anything better. The freezer has different shelves that are both big and spacious to have different items in. The temperature gage is easy to use with digital buttons as well.

• we got this in nov 21 , and have had nothing but trouble with it freezeing our food in the fridge and the freezer leaving our ice cream soft 'had the repair people out twice so far replaced temp sensor still is messed up. so they orderfreezer condesor and the wrong part was sent and was told it would be weeks before it would come.been 4 weeks so far and still nothing in the mean time the fridge runs between 28 and 41 , the only good point is that a whirlpool rep sent us a 50 gift card to help replace the food we have been throwing out . not a happy camper

• This is the second time the freezer has broken and this item is brand new. The service technician already told me that I should pay for extension of warranty because this model is known to break. Freezer melts and freezes things over and over which spoils all the food. So, I get to throw away all my freezer foods, again.

• I received this fridge as part of the winter proofing program through Enbridge Gas. Overall it’s a good product except that it’s somewhat smaller than my old one and the inconvenience of a manufacturer’s defect. We weren’t able to reverse the door assembly to open the other way. I had a professional technician come out and even they couldn’t reverse the doors due to this defect.

• Fridge is less than 3 years old and already had to call a tech out to come look as our fridge is freezing everything. Said there’s a leak in the system that will cost us $900 to repair. Disgusted to learn that this is a major issue that is happening to this fridge and Whirpool seems to think they can get away with this… can’t even get proof of purchase as it was in my new build.

• This fridge came with a condo purchase and upon using, it FREEZES everything in the fridge portion -- so I can never enjoy a salad, as it freezes all my veggies. Followed all the setting instructions and now operating at the "warmest" setting and it still freezes my eggs, veggies, and my canned drinks continue to explode. I reached out to Whirlpool and they said, they can only send someone to look at it to first assess and proceeded to tell me the assessment will cost me and then another cost if they are to fix it. This is unacceptable, especially seeing all the reviews with the same issues, they want to charge me and not rectify a poorly constructed product. Please please please I urge you not to by this product.

• Our fridge is only 2 years old and already seems to be completely broken. Was working fine up until a couple weeks ago when the fridge started freezing all of our food. When we lowered the temp and airflow settings to remedy the situation, then our freezer started not getting cold enough to freeze our food. We then changed the settings back to remedy the freezer and low and behold the fridge keeps NOTHING cold anymore. What an absolute piece of trash! Adding to that, hundreds of $$$ worth of food completely spoiled. Do yourself a favour and steer clear of this model.

• Fridge broke down 4months old. Waiting on parts to be replaced. Parts on back order. This caused me problems with my tenant. I am still waiting for parts. Whirlpool will not replace the fridge. I am still waiting for parts. Not happy with the outcome

• We bought this fridge 2 1/2 years ago. Initially it froze everything so I followed instructions to lower the temperature. It worked well for about 2 years then basically stopped refrigerating. We don't generally buy extended warranties but our small town retailer suggested we purchase one this time - fortunately! Comerco sent an appliance repairman out twice and he replaced a couple of parts to no avail. Luckily we have a 45 year old dinosaur fridge in our basement so have been able to function. We have now received a credit for the original sale price with our retailer. We were well served by the Extended Warranty company but hate the thought of an almost new fridge going to the landfill to join many other poorly engineered and constructed appliances.

• After two years fridge started to freeze everything in the fridge section. I called service. Technician came and told us that dryer pipe has clogged and has to be replaced. I paid $146.88 for inspection. He quoted $400+Tax to fix it. Because warranty passed I accepted to pay (For two years old fridge). Three weeks passed and nobody showed up or called me regarding my repair. This is not acceptable not getting service in three weeks and paying $400 for two years old fridge. It is a very bad repetition for Whirlpool.

• I've been in my home since Feb. of this year & my refrigerator have been out for two months now! At first had a problem getting in touch with them & when I did, they came our a claim it's the compressor & waiting on the part! It's been two weeks since they have ordered the part! Can't get anybody on the phone again! This don't make any since! Somebody needs to call me ASAP to let me know that somebody will be out here to fix it or it needs to be replaced! Here we're about to go into Novenber now & I still don't have a darn refrigerator working! Somebody better do something!

• This fridge came with our new house provided by the builder. After two years it started to freeze everything in the fridge section. Since August 18th 2021 Whirlpool technicians have made 5 service visits, they replaced dryer/filter and refilled the system with new refrigerant it didn't help they replaced electronic temperature control unit and temperature sensor and it did not solve the problem. Yesterday they put a temperature recorder in the fridge to understand the reason. We are still waiting with hope that Whirlpool will fix the fridge. It is almost 3 months and we don't know how long will it take.

• We received this refrigerator through an energy saving program and I would like to commend this program. The fridge that we had was a Whirlpool 33" bottom freezer that we were told replacement was identical. The replacement is what we are reviewing. The freezer appears to create frostbite and the fresh vegetable in the fridge containers barely last a week. The door seal had to be replaced and still not sure that seal is sufficient. There is no light in the freezer and very little room in main fridge. All in I would say that we are very disappointed in this particular model and would love to be able to trade in for something similar to what we had before
