Fridge was installed 1.5 weeks ago. It's smaller than our old 90s Whirlpool fridge, but is the only one that fits in the available space. It looks nice a d we like have the French doors and freezer on the bottom. The freezer is decently smaller than we're used to, but it works well. The ice maker takes a few days to fill, but works. The interior water dispenser is incredibly low flow and will likely not be used. Plus it's in a weird spot and opening the fridge to get to it defeats the purpose. So we use a water filter pitcher. The refrigerator part is roomy and bright. The shelves are adjustable as are the ones on the doors. Overall, we're happy with the purchase so far.

We bought this fridge after our other Whirlpool 2009 fridge finally kicked the bucket. I'm surprised at how low the quality is of this one compared to the last one. The crisper drawers do not slide smoothly and the moisture adjustment tab gets caught sometimes, I'm sure that'll be broken within a year. The shelves have no trim at the back and there is a wide gap between the back of the shelf and the fridge...we actually had a small jar of jam tumble down to the next shelf, thankfully nothing broke. We ended up stuff pieces of white foam back there. There was also leakage of the spray insulation foam all across the bottom of both doors and a bit out of the top of one door. UNREAL. This is what you get for $2400 CAD? I wish I had played with the one in the store more but I figured it was a Whirlpool, must be good quality right? Ha! Our last fridge was a bottom freezer but not French doors, only 1 door, and I really notice the loss of door space. And that little piece on the left door that flips back and forth...I'm just counting the months before that's broken. So overall, not too impressed. I wish they had had the same model configuration of my last fridge in the store. Oh, and for those who are impressed with the no-fingerprint option? My daughter proved it wrong on the first day, so one more thing to be disappointed about.

After the repair technician came out to look at our LG refrigerator and told us the bad news on our 8 year old refrigerator, recommended whirlpool,we checked reviews, and talked to people we decided on whirlpool so far so good we really like it!

This unit is a replacement for one I purchased 1 year ago. This model has a design flaw that tears the upper right door seal flap on the door gasket. When closing the doors, if the RH door is closed, the pivot bar on the left door hits the RH door flap and pushes it into the cam opening that operates the pivot bar and distorts the seal flap. After a period of time, the flap tears breaking the door seal. I had to have my original unit RH gasket replaced 2x. There is no fix. The gaskets are $100+ ea. and over 10 years, i will have spent $2K (another refrigerator) on replacement gaskets. WP agreed to replace the unit but due to company policy, they replaced it with a new unit of the same model which has the same design flaw. I wanted the model with the single door as the door design is different and doesn't have this flaw The only way to maintain the integrity of the seal flap is to always open both doors and close the LH door before closing the RH door. Fortunately I am alone and am training myself to always close the LH door first. This may not be possible with families with children. Oddly, it seems that the 36" wide models do not have this design flaw. The pivot bar does not contact the seal flap and cause it to distort every time the doors are opened and closed. I would assume the gasket is not in any danger of tearing. I feel compelled to discourage anyone from buying the 33" wide refrigerator with French doors.

We have had the fridge for about a month, and are very happy, so far. Shelving is easily configurable to your needs and having the water dispenser inside the unit creates loads of space inside the doors. There is good storage space in the drawer style freezer and the ice maker (albeit a little slow) produces good sized cubes. Surfaces are definitely resistant to smudges, as claimed. We have two small bugaboos. The two crisper drawers are not smooth, and can stick as you open or close them. Also, there are the trace amounts of expanding foam insulation that have seeped out of the edges of the doors. We were a little surprised to see this, since the build quality appears top notch. Overall, these are minor issues and we are happy with our purchase.

I was debating between two different refrigerators and chose this one. I was not sure how the freezer would work for me. This is my first time having a freezer on the bottom. I am actually loving it! I have plenty of room for everything. I love the refrigerator too- I’ve never had such a nice refrigerator before. I am truly loving it!

Love the refrigerator so far. The only complaint I have is you have to be careful when opening just the left side door so that middle piece doesn’t get damaged as that would be a huge expense.Love the adjustable shelves and holders in doors. Love the filtered water option and flittered ice. Like how the baskets are arranged in the freezer. Absolutely love the finish which definitely does not show finger prints

This is a good model refrigerator that can accommodate 33 inch wide enclosures. Plenty of space in this fridge and the shelves are sturdy. Holds temperature and the ice maker is good. It is not stated anywhere, but the water dispenser has issues with aeration style whole home water filtration systems. That should be stated in the documentation because I would have chosen a different model due to the slow drip from the internal dispenser. Whirlpool support sent out authorized appliance repair team that replaced water intake valve and added a check valve, but ultimately gave up. Whirlpool support had no answer except 'is there anything else we can help you with', I would have liked additional warranty because I will probably have problems with the freezer door gasket from the dripping water.

We absolutely love our double door Whirlpool Refrigerator that we have had for 6 months now. Having had a side by side for 35 years we are enjoying opening the doors and seeing everything in the fridge without having to end to the floor to see what is on the bottom shelf .

Ordered first part of January. Delivered and set up on January 30th. Not working and froze all my food . Ice and water not working as well. Had to wait days for a call from repair department and on Tuesday, February 11th, repairman came and had to order three parts and I am still waiting for them to call me saying they got the parts and give me an appointment to repair it! Paid for a new fridge. Have a lemon one sitting here in my kitchen that doesn’t work and so unhappy! Worst experience ever!

Internal ice maker works, water dispenser doesn’t, replaced filter twice and still doesn’t work. What steps do I take now ? If Whirlpool stands behind thei products they should fix it or completely replace the fridge. Have barely had it more than three months.

We bought this about a month ago to replace a freezer on the top refrigerator. We absolutely love this refrigerator!!! My husband has had spinal fusions and cannot bend over very well so the fact that he can see everything in the fridge and freezer is great.. This also fit into our very small opening perfectly. I would recommend this highly!!

It's a nice refrigerator and doing what a new refrigerator should do. The old L G for 10 years old and two compressors later laid down and died. The factory trained techs on the last compressor repair installed the wrong compressor and it would not bolt down in the factor mounting brackets so now I know why there was a rattle when it was running. Which bring up today's appliances are NOT to be repaired only replaced. So back to my brand new Whirlpool refrigerator. Upper double doors standing in front of the fridge the left side door has to close first then the right side door. The kids open the left side door to get cold filtered water and the left side door won't won't close all the way unless you open the right side door close the left first then the right side. I come home from work the fridge is running, food inside getting warm condensation running down the front. Yes, the new fridge sucks. The two floor modles at Home Depot the doors do the same thing. Please don't try and fix it is am sure you'll only make it worse. I plan on moving it out the garage and buying another brand. Just wish me luck.

It took me about 3 weeks to check out all brands of refrigerators but finally decided on Whirlpool. This model is a stainless steel and it’s flawless and it’s a beautiful color!

Bought and had delivered about a month ago, so no longevity tests here but the fridge has been pretty good. We replaced a 21 year old Kenmore top freezer and I don't expect this one to last as long but I hope it does. The fridge was kind of loud when we first got it, not scary loud but worried loud (if that makes sense) but it was just the compressor settling in and the ice maker going non-stop. The internal water dispenser works great, it has a good pressure but it doesn't spray out or anything. You can use it with only one door open but it's kinda awkward. This was the single most important feature to us as I didn't want want an exterior dispenser and it's great. The ice maker makes great cubed ice but makes slightly too much. It's not that big of issue, sometimes as you open the freezer and pull the top tray out a piece or two of ice will fall out the backside and shoot out the front of the fridge. It's easy to shut the maker off as it has a lever switch on the side of it, so when it fills the bowl we'll just shut it off. The shelves are nice and kind of adjustable, adjustable enough for me anyways. The fridge is also bright and you should have no issues finding anything. All in all it's a great fridge so far and I hope it stays that way.

Best option for a 33-inch wide refrigerator to fit our 35-inch space (which is less than the standard 36-inch space). French doors and handles are very nice, and the interior is well designed with three nice drawers and movable glass shelves. Note: The French door width is unequal, with the left door 3 inches less than the right door, but that has worked out fine, maybe even better, as we use the wider right door more often.

I bought this new refrigerator last month and it’s the best large appliance purchase I ever made!

I’m very happy with this refrigerator. We want the side side of the freezer below for quite some time and this seems to have a lot of capacity and still fits in our our small kitchen area. We had a hard time finding something. It was under 69 inches to fit in the area that we have we only thing that we don’t particularly care for is the left door is difficult to close. It’s open just by itself because it has the divider that folds over under the other door but other than that, it’s been a really good refrigerator so far.

We bought refrigerator a month ago, called your service department to ask a few questions about the loudness of it when compressor turns on. Told to wait and monitor. We did and the loud “Clump” sound is unbelievably loud still. Do not think that is normal, as have been around other fridges and have never heard this sound.
Very Loud09/13/2024 02:49 AM
I bought this refrigerator a few weeks ago because I wanted and needed the larger bottom freezer. The side by side we have had for several years has a narrow useless freezer. I gave four stars because of the awkward and inconvenient location to access the filtered water on the left having to open both doors. Otherwise, the large bottom freezer is great except for a permanent partition next to the ice tray that creates a useless space and makes the adjacent space smaller! The French door refrigerator is roomy and well planned.

Not a lot of options in 33" width. Interior design and storage space is not great for the form factor of the unit. Shelves are suuuper basic; no slides. Everything feels cheaper and lighter than a model from 10 years ago. I hate how much space the water filter takes up, for the non-optional, non-removable internal water dispenser. Factory spray foam overfill at some joints, leaving small patches of trimmed foam behind.

we bought this 3 weeks ago and it is a good fridge with a couple of notes. 1. water pump on the fridge dispenser was noisy at first (8 days worth of noise) but it is ok now. I believe it had some air in the line. 2. Regarding the Ice Maker, this one is noisy and hasn't quieted down yet. Will have to call for service if it doesn't fix itself. Other than these issues it seems to be working good. Lots of room for this size fridge, keeps things very cold and makes plenty of Ice. One improvement would be the Water dispenser in fridge is designed poorly, you have to use two hands to get water, should be able to press a glass against it to get water.

Store delivered floor model as there was a wait for one in stock. My mistake agreeing to that. Door and freezer drawer front need to be replaced due to noticeable dings. Shelves scratch easily. There are other scuff marks inside making it feel used. The vegetable drawers jerk not slide. Ice maker so loud had to install a mat to buff noise when cubes fall into bin. Bar on ice maker drops so low you cannot open freezer drawer. The plastic arch above water dispenser falls off. The large frig doors are uneven. This is just in the first month. Its a Big investment to have these multiple issues. Would like to return it. Would not buy again.
