• We absolutely love the Whirlpool 36" side-by-side refrigerator. It's a lil bit deeper than our previous model and therefore we have more space for food, which is awesome. This model comes with food storage containers which have their own spot in the door. I simply love it. The fridge and freezer temperature can be easily adjusted on the led display on the front. I also love that the space under the ice maker is tall enough to get a bottle or tumbler in it. The fridge runs really quiet too. The lights inside are LED lights, which gives the inside a nice look. It was easy to set up and install. 5 stars from us, that fridge is simply awesome.

• Quickly bought our new refrigerator in a pinch after 35 year old one failed. Size restraints limited our choices as well. Whirlpool has a reputable name & we have had success with other appliances by this manufacturer over the years. The knock in stars is related to the lack of climate controlled fruit & vegetable drawers. Do not recommend overlooking the lack of this feature! Produce MUST be used MUCH more quickly as a result. Love the appearance, counter-depth size & smaller ice cube size with this model! Integrated ice maker allows for more freezer storage, too. Lack of a covered butter shelf also disappointing. Extra spaces on door indicate one could be provided. Also disappointed by lack of information about "parts". Would love to order another shelf for freezer & refrigerator door. No idea how to do that. Finally, very pleased with water dispensing features and ice options. Overall happy with our purchase & would recommend! Good value for reasonable cost.

• Paid $1900. In door water and ice work good, but paddle button lever point is at the bottom, so you need to push at the top of the paddle. Freezer works great. Keeps ice frozen and ice cream nice on solid. Easy access to all items. It came with a shelf slot open in both the fridge and freezer, so bought 2 shelves on Amazon. Shelves are not adjustable but position seems just fine. Noise of water fill pump and ice maker a little high, and fridge noise was a little high at the first when it was cooling down to temperature, but once at temp, it is very quite. Silent in fact. No constant hum or fan noise.

• I’ve been using the Whirlpool WRSC5536RZ 36" 21 cu. ft. side-by-side refrigerator for a few months now, and overall, I’m very pleased with it. The stainless steel finish looks sleek and modern in my kitchen, and the counter-depth design gives it a built-in look without taking up too much space. This fridge is best suited for 1–2 people who don’t cook a lot or keep a ton of food on hand. The interior layout is similar to my previous Whirlpool 24 cu. ft. model — the shelf arrangement looks nearly identical and visually it appears just as spacious. However, the shelves in this 21 cu. ft. version are noticeably smaller and less roomy, which is something to keep in mind. That said, it cools evenly and runs very quietly. Even the ice maker is quieter than in my old fridge, and it fills the ice bin without the loud clunking I was used to. The LED lighting is bright and well-placed, making it easy to see everything inside. One downside: for some reason, this fridge arrived without the air filters, and I had to order those separately. Thankfully, at least a water filter was included in the box. Overall, it's a stylish and dependable option, especially for smaller households with lighter food storage needs.

• I love this refrigerator so much! It is so nice and elegant! I love the water and ice dispenser. It’s very spacious and keeps everything cool and frozen. The ice machine isn’t noisy at all.

• 4 months old and already needs service ! This refrigerator is a piece of junk. The interior temperature is uneven throughout and things freeze on the top & second shelf. It's set at 38 degrees which is warmer than I like and the top shelf temp is 33 and the bottom is 40. yes, I have 3 thermometers inside ! Getting prompt warranty service is another joke,'the website is no help duen to a program glitch preventing the selection of a date for repair. calling isn't much better, i was on hold for 40 minutes, have called 3 times and still have no service date.

• This is our first Counter Depth refrigerator. So far, so good! We made the move to a counter depth because we are empty nesters now. The interior lighting is super bright without being overpowering. The in door ice maker gives us extra shelf space in the freezer. The door shelves on the refrigerator side are moveable which gives us plenty of storage options.

• Tons of storage space for everything. Very very easy to install. Very quiet refrigerator too. Multiple different ice settings. Water and ice dispenser makes hot summer days very convenient. It has an alarm on the doors that sounds if it’s open for long periods of time.

• I would give it ZERO if I could. Lasted 3 days and died. Purchased on 13th. delivered 14th by Lowes. A couple days later it died. I called Lowes, they said after 48 hours I have to go through whirlpool. Since then it has been hours on the phone with their service department. Being told lies, put off and complete indifference. I had company coming for the holidays. No place to put any food. IT IS NOW DECMEBER 26TH. OVER 10 DAYS AND STILL NO FRIDGE - NO FOOD!!! NO IDEA WHEN THEY WILL REPLACE. I have spend hours and hours on the phone (mostly on hold and being transferred to only be put on hold again). Only being told their POLICY is three business days - then 9 business days - STILL NO RESOLUTION. Whirlpool and Lowes have completely ruined Christmas for myself and my out of town guests. My family and their guests who came from out of town, are stating at my home, and I can't even offer a cold beverage or food!!!! And none of them care. This fridge was over $2,000 and a piece of junk. UPDATE JAN 5,2026 - STILL NO FRIDGE!! COMPLETE RUN AROUND BETWEEN LOWES AND WHIRLPOOL

• First refrigerator delivered - it never got cool at all, it ran for 20 hours . Second refrigerator delivered and exchanged week later . This one freezer door is dented near the seal. I called in and so far nobody has contacted me. One would think this whole process would be simple and easy ?? Paid near $2000. We need to do better here people.

• I bought this a few weeks ago. I love this refrigerator -- especially the large water and ice maker. The fit was perfect with similar storage as our old refrigerator. My spouse did not like the open wheel on the bottom left and right and it should have been covered to give a perfect appearance. I called Whirlpool and got a great reason (water hose on left) however I realize this was a cost issue and should be fixed in a future model. Also there was NO egg tray holder (we saved one from our old refrigerator), NO pull out tray for soda cans and NO horizontal holder for wine bottles. These are minor inconveniences and somehow I will make it.

• After 2 days I noticed excessive frost build-up in freezer. Cleaned the frost out but it continued build-up. Called warranty department and they setup service for me. Service technician determined the freezer door was warped and not sealing properly. A new door was ordered but will take upwards to six weeks to arrive. This refrigerator is a little more noisy than expected but I can live with it. I removed the bins in refrigerator section and found things I don't understand. Behind top bin is a flimsy plastic shield with jagged edges. Not sure what is behind it. Would be nice if the manual had pictures explaining the interior parts of the refrigerator.

• It’s noisier than our previous refrigerator, but it’s fine. We bought this one because it’s white on the three sides that show. I do wish it was the pebble finish like the old ones used to have since it shows puppy nose prints and fingerprints just like stainless, maybe even more. Home Depot’s delivery and install was great. We bought the extended warranty through them since refrigerators don’t last like the old ones. Our beer fridge is 30+ years old and still works great (wrong color). The counter depth looks great and space is well designed.

• The first refrig delivered had a faulty water pump and was replaced by a second refrig that had a dent in the freezer side door. A leveling leg was found under the refrig causing it to not be level and the refrig door seal was split and damaged thus not allowing the door to automatically close and seal. Finally the third replacement seem to be working well. Those delivering the first two refrigs seemed to be in a great hurry and not paying much attention to the installing process. Overall this experience was very disturbing and inconvient.

• This new fridge was a replacement due to a nonrepairable issue that sometimes happens. Whirlpool was very accommodating under warranty protection. Although, my fridge was discontinued they supplied me with new one which I love! The counter depth side by side fits perfectly in my smaller kitchen in my new townhouse. A beautiful stainless steel with plenty of room for a older, single divorced woman starting a new chapter in her life. It is almost perfect! Just wish I could dispense ice and fill water with a 2nd cup at the same time as my other model; going to have to get the manual out to check it that is a possibility!!!

• This refrigerator was easy to set up and adjust the temperature. It is on the smaller side but does fit a lot in it. The ice maker is quiet and works well. It also can with storage bowls that have there own shelf on the door which is absolutely wonderful. I would buy this over and over again

• The water dispenser plate is to high so you have to use your hand to push against the plate and it still stops abruptly. I do wish the whole box was bigger as I can't get a 10 inch tall cup to fit in it. I think the on/ off switch for ice should be somewhere else than behind the ice bucket.
