Oven overheated, top left burner stop heating, with error warnings . . . Err, E1. F6. Had a repairman and he informed me that a heating element was needed with a cost close to $460 !! I’m a Senior Citizen and only source of income is Social Security Disability and I can’t afford to have it repaired. Only has it for almost 3 years and the cost to repair is almost the amount I paid for the range. Very unfair !!

After a week of use, the stove functions well and easily meets our needs and expectations, but the minor cosmetic flaws and slight defects in assembly take away from our overall satisfaction.

I was lied to about whether the oven light cones on automatically when the door is opened. It doesn't. Also, i had to replace all four burners. The stove cones with the "safety" burners with that little button in the middle. The heat kept going OFF in (I suppose) an effort to keep me safe. I've been cooking for 65 years; I don't need some upstart messing with my stove design!

So glad that we were finally able to arrange delivery of our Whirlpool electric range. Our old range was down to nearly ZERO functionality by the time our Whirlpool delivery arrived. We LOVE the storage drawer in the bottom, and are getting used to the "nipple" activator in the middle of the burners. Had to get a new tea kettle to accommodate the burner activator and burner size. We are also getting used to the difference in knobs, and cooking time required. We are absolutely thrilled about the bright and visible clock and settings window, plus the size of the range, which fit perfectly into the space between our counters. We are cooking now! 💖

This range was purchased to replace a decades old appliance that had served my elderly mother so well. Her initial reaction to this new unit has been less than positive. Aside from the expected learning curve to understand how to use it, she is very frustrated with the tiny size of the print used for the controls. With her impaired vision, this becomes a huge burden, especially as she is unfamiliar with how it works. I see no reason why Whirlpool couldn't have used a larger typeface for controls for the burners and the oven. So far, very frustrating, to the point she is unable to even attempt to use the range without assistance from someone else.

I recently purchased an electric range, and it hasn’t even been a month since I bought it, but already the front coil isn't functioning correctly. I reached out to the manufacturer for assistance. Whirlpool informed me that they would send someone to examine my electric range for a fee of $150. I find it difficult to comprehend why I’m being charged for this service, considering I received a defective appliance. Whirlpool should either repair it at no cost or provide a replacement. Appliances are meant to have a long lifespan. This experience has left me extremely dissatisfied with the customer service, and I’m unhappy with the product overall.

I've had the range for about a month now, and for the most part I like it, however I've discover a quirk that i wasn't aware of before. when I'm heating up oil to fry wings or french fries, the coils all of a sudden cool down about half way through the cooking process. Is this a safety feature ? Is there a way around it, like turning off a sensor ? It is just annoying to have oil cool off and then come back up to temp before continuing the cooking process, especially with wings. Thank you

I'm a little disappointed in this electric range. First of all, it doesn't come with an Owner's Manual, so you're on your own figuring out how everything works. The oven racks are very difficult to slide. It took a while to figure out how the timer works, but when we finally did, we could barely hear the buzzer. We were baking something at 425 degrees and when we touched the top oven surface, it was really, really hot. This never occurred with previous electric ranges. It seems like it might be a manufacturing error. I would never recommend this range to anyone, and regret buying it.

I love my new range. The features are amazing! It makes cooking so much easier. The price was more than reasonable. It’s a comfort to have an appliance from a reliable brand. I look forward to making many memories with my family for years to come.

So glad I bought this model Definitely amazed how quickly my pans Heat up on the stove top burners It used to take a lot longer with my last range but literally it's almost like cooking with gas now for how quickly it heats up I'm finding I have to relearn where to cook at as far as temperature setting now Only thing I could just for future models it's not a major complaint but the reminder / alarm When the timer goes off it could definitely be louder as it sounds like a soft chime to me other than that definitely love this range

I bought the range about 6 weeks ago. Second choice, first choice did not appeal to me once it was installed. No Problem! Made an appointment to look at a different model. A basic, no-frills, do what it has to do range. Other reviews made me pay attention to how pots sat on the new safety designed elements. No big deal! Finally used oven to bake fish. Baked at higher temp, took out at usual cooking time, fish done but not browned as I had hoped. Will get an oven thermometer to check temp calibration! No big deal. Wife likes the warm up feature and buzzer that alerts you to set temp. All in all, I am pleased with this purchase

Worst stove i have ever owned. Heat is not consistent. I had appliances technicians come. He said all these ranges are the same. I can't keep water boiling consistent, making pancakes is a nightmare. Oven takes forever to cook biscuits, its ridiculous 25 min to bake biscuits.

We bought this range about 2 years ago along with an extended warranty from Lowe’s. Calling the toll-free number for the extended warranty just leads to hours of being on hold. Is there any wonder that I don’t want to do business with them or Whirlpool again?

The Whirlpool stove was standard in my new mobile home. I love the fact that the coil burners heat up very fast. I don’t like the icons for the burner positions under the knobs as it’s confusing.

Reason I purchased this make and model was because of brand reputation as well as ease of functions, you don't have to be an IT genius to figure it out. Elements heat up really fast and evenly. Would have gotten 5 stars except for 2 things. The rear wall of the bottom drawer could be higher. If I forget and put the wrong pans on top of the others, they fall off and go behind the draw on the floor. The second thing is the center spring loaded sensor on the elements don't clean off if something splashes on them . However these 2 items really don't affect the functionality of the stove. I really enjoy it.

I’ve had my new range for a few weeks, it’s very pretty and I love cooking on it

I bought this in January and while it cooks well, be aware if a pot of pasta water boils over, the drip pans and burner box cover will be damaged. I had this happen to me. A pot of macaroni noodles boiled over. Down into the drip pan and below onto the burner box cover sheet. The drip pan was ruined to the point of no return. It was like the water ate right into the drip pan. Couldn't get the damage off and couldn't get it back to the chrome color. The same thing happened with the burner box cover sheet. I tried a scraper, scrape pad and nothing would get the outline off where the water laid onto the burner box cover sheet. And then when I got hold of customer service to do a service call while under warranty, they wanted to charge me $139 for a service call. Sorry, but warranty means warranty or at least it used to. I decided to buy new drip pans for way less than Whirlpool had them listed which were Whirlpool replacements and decided to wait on the burner box sheet as it's almost half of what a new range would cost. Customer service wasn't any help either on the $139 charge for a service call. Whatever happened to having a technician come out to fix problems. I believe that the drip pans and burner box sheet wasn't coated the way it should have been.

Only had for a week and due to government regulations I can’t boil a pot of gumbo!! Cooktop will only stay on high for 5 min and shuts off!! Ridiculous. Can’t fry crap on this stove. Just boil small pots and pans. That’s it. Horrible. Plus whirlpool doesn’t disclose this information when purchasing. Basically bought this under false pretenses.

After 2 trips by the technician, the oven temp is close (but still not always on point). First time the tech tried to place the oven drawer in correctly while it was empty-easy enough. But every time I try to open and close, it is a hassle!!!!! It is like it is not on the runners but it is, just very very cheaply made and a huge mistake on my part to purchase this range. I wanted to exchange for a more expensive model, but Lowes would not because it was past the "48 hour return" policy-did not matter that I couldn't even use until electrician was able to come out and plug it in (because the Lowes delivery driver could not plug in for some reason). Just an unhappy customer!!

If I knew these new stoves have the overheating sensor mechanism, I would have kept my older one. How do you expect people to cook properly when we have no control over heat that shuts off every few minutes. Bad design.

The range had a wiring issue from the factory and shorted out the same day it was delivered. I pushed the oven light button to turn on the oven light and it sparked. After a month and two visits by a repair technician the range was still not working and a third visit to repair the range was being scheduled. Once I pleaded and made my case to Whirlpool for the third time that a new replacement oven should be sent out since we bought four major kitchen appliances and the range/oven was never even used they finally agreed. It took another couple weeks to receive the new replacement so now after almost two months we have a new working electric stove/range.

The coils on the range have a very irritating bell that rings every time they experience any vibration - like setting on a pot, stirring food in a pot, or just walking by. Ring ring ring. Apparently it is a safety feature that keeps a pot from over heating. Not sure why it has to ring. Even worse, it's brand new and the oven does not work. Temperature is low by at least 50 degrees and won't stay at any temperature - keeps falling after I put food in and I have to keep turning it up. This is brand new and now I have to waste my time calling for repair.

This range has not worked since the day I bought it and plugged it in. Called Whirlpool more than once, they won't send a service person out because I live an hour from the nearest service place that does warranty work. That shouldn't matter, they should honor the warranty and pay a local appliance individual to fix it for me. 3 burners work, but I don't even know if the oven works because the display controls are blank and won't turn on. Whirlpool used to have great service 20+ years ago. If I buy a new control board for this thing (not even knowing if that's what it needs, just a guess), it will cost nearly as much as what I just paid for this thing.
