I'm incredibly disappointed in this brand. I've been buying a lot of their products for years but honestly don't know how I could buy another at this point. I bought this microwave/oven combo and had it installed on Friday, 4/26/24. The oven isn't heating up. I've tried it on multiple cycles. The highest it has gotten is 298 after 40 minutes. I'm trying navigate their customer service / service department / customer care departments with no success. As of right now (Monday, 4/29/24) I've spent 56 minutes on the phone, mostly listening to hold music, making it even more frustrating.

Have had this unit for only a little over a week now, and am very pleased with both how it looks and how it functions. The oven heats up in half the time as my old one, and that is not counting the rapid heat feature! I do not feel the manual is basic enough, in that it took me a week to figure out how to immediately turn the oven/microwave off. (So easy, now.) Was also surprised by the oven going into a cool down mode. Now, if I can only figure out how to make the alarm louder and the time light dimmer... I should have stuck with Whirlpool products; replaced a 12-year-old different manufacturer oven/microwave unit, while my 32-year-old Whirlpool dishwasher is still working fine.

This unit replaced a ten year-old Whirlpool Gold wall unit that came with our home. We love our new oven/microwave. The only negative was the non-caring customer “service” rep who was of minimal assistance when setting up our app/wi-fi. Not customer focused at all. Not what I’ve come to expect as a loyal Whirlpool customer since 2002.

I purchased the model in the photo... but mine does not look like that. Much to my disappointment. The unit itself is nice.... but I am so disappointed in the look. The handles are white on black glass. Mine has handles that contrast with its backing. Looks less sleek. Not Happy....

Yes it took a month to get this because it was a special order item. Then was installed about a month age and we love it. This unit is so simple to use and cooks food faster than what the package states! Our old unit was a champ, it last us 22 years. We are hopeful.

I think we are happy with it. However we are 88 and 89 years old and struggle to understand oppressional procedures. In the past we word refer to the instructions manual for help.not included. Our current technology is minimal. Can you help us. Thanks

I bought this unit over two months ago. Overall, it is an okay unit. What I don't like is that when the microwave is operating it vents steam out the bottom of the microwave door and it steams the inside of the lower oven door between the glass panes. There is no way to wipe the moisture because it is on the inside of the glass panes. The only way to get to clean it is to take the lower oven door apart. I called Whirlpool and told them about the issue and they sent a repair service out to assess it. When the repair service arrived, the repair person looked at the microware, called Whirlpool and was told that was the way it was supposed to function. The repair person told me that the microwave vented out of the upper slots in the lower oven and left without doing anything other than calling Whirlpool. After he left, I spent some time determining that the microwave does not vent through the slots in the top of the oven as I was told, but the air seems to flow out of the bottom of the microwave door. It seems to me that is a major design flaw. I am beginning to see a slight buildup of residue on the inside of the oven glass panes.

I purchased this expensive oven combo and naively assumed it would come with an operating manual. It did not. When I went online to attempt to get one, I was in a loop where I was prompted to purchase extended warranties which I had earlier declined. When I called "customer CARE", I was asked if I had purchased it directly from Whirlpool. When I replied I had purchased from a distributor I was told to contact them and hung up on. What an expensive lesson in poor customer service which certainly leads me to concerns about the quality of this expensive purchase!

Although it came with an owners manual it doesn’t go through how to use all the features it has. You kind of have to stumble through pushing buttons to discover the features. I’d like to have a users guide that walks you through the features.

Its beautiful although I'm not a fan of the drop down door on the microwave portion...I'm 5'4' and its aggravating to use. I have not found a way to cut off the oven while its working. The preheat for oven takes too long.

I was very surprised with this particular Unit. We are not able to use the Oven and the Microwave simultaneously. Hard to believe this is not possible. If we have something baking in the Oven and quickly need to use the Microwave to reheat, boil some water, etc., it appears it is not possible with this unit. Are we doing something wrong? If I knew this was not possible, I would have purchased a different unit or brand. The Seller (Sargents Appliance) did not advise us on this issue.

I received my wall microwave oven combination two weeks ago. Overall, I am satisfied with the functionality of this product. However, I have two major issues, first the unit arrived without a printed feature/ user guide. I found a 68 page book online and I called Whirlpool to request a printed copy. I was told that it would take 10-15 days to arrive. Yesterday, I received a 11 page “Feature Guide”, this document is not nearly as useful and as the 68 page document that is online. I know that we are trying to save trees, but when the customer makes a request, the community should provide such material. Also, we had to have a cabinet maker put crown around the oven to adjust for the gap that was left because Whirlpool no longer makes the width 28.5” that we had 15 years ago when we built our home.

I bought a new built-in oven and microwave combo. I am an older customer (76 years old) and am very disappointed in the lack on a printed manual for my new appliance. I am used to having a manual to can return to over and over when I have a question. The first thing I tried to do turned out terribly. I put lemon bars into the oven and set the timer. I then heated a cup of water in the microwave for a cup of tea. The lemon bar timer never went off. I tried to call to ask what I did wrong. i COULD NOT GET TO A LIVE PERSON. I even got into such a tizzy that I called corp. headquarters in Maine -TWICE. Both operators just said they woudl connect me to customer service whom I had been trying to call for at least half an hour just to be frustrated even more. All I got was offers to buy an extended warranty. If your product is so bad that I need an extended warranty I don't want it. NOW i will admit that the next day when I tried to bake and microwave at the same time it did work. So now I am happy again, but having a decent manual could have helped avoid all this trouble. I did look on line to see about ordering a manual, but it looked exactly what I was sent with the oven/microwave. It had 3 pages of instructions and almost 50 pages on how to install. I could still use a manual and cookbook for the microwave. This microwave has a lot of settings I've never heard of.

Product and installation service excellent. Product functions as advertised. Would appreciate an actual paper owner's operating manual instead of on-line instructions that are difficult to access and follow. It took us over four months to get the product after first attempting to repair our old model and then repeated mistakes and failures by the Lowes sales team to properly order and transfer the product to the installation team.

We have had this for just over 2 months and in time for both big thanksgiving and Christmas meals. Wonderful to have a new micro/oven with great functionality to handle big complex meals. A couple of observations/recommendations 1) Touch Screen is sometimes hard to register. Should have sensitivity adjustment. 2) Musical tones signaling complete operations should be selectable so users can use tones that meet their auditory needs

I had this oven installed 2 weeks ago and I'm still getting used to it. The microwave works well but I haven't found an easy way to just touch the control once. I have to go through several options to set a manual time. Same with the oven. The oven takes a bit long to preheat and the microwave is a bit too deep because of the way it opens. I've used the air fry option and really like that feature.

I received my new combo unit on the 27th, and it looks great, and so far baking works well. The only thing I don’t like is the pull-down microwave door. I’m 5’3”, due to height loss from compression fractures in my spine due to an accident. Even if I were still 5’5”, it would be hard to reach in over the door to get out something hot! Or even to wipe it out.

We bought this product about a month ago and I can’t be happier with both the microwave and the oven. So many great features and have found it easy to learn and operate. We especially love the air fryer capabilities of the oven. We don’t have a lot of counter space so not only can we now cook larger portions, but we gained space back. Highly recommend!

I bought this to replace a double oven that had stopped operating (twice). One of the problems with the old oven is that the OFF button didn't work. The new oven is a handsome replacement. However, I was disappointed that the touchscreen interface did not have an obvious OFF button! Hopefully a software update will supply an OFF button.

After only two weeks, the microwave stopped working. A technician came out and fixed it by turning off the breaker and after a few minutes, turning it on again. It happened again today, a week after it had been fixed. We were able to start it again using the breaker method. Are we going to constantly have to do this on a new appliance?
