This oven set performed very well. Cooks thoroughly and quickly. The microwave works as designed. The design is pleasing and should be easy to maintain, the control panel is efficient and easy to manage. My only issue was that this set didn’t come with a user operating manual. I had to download one from the company website. For the price we paid one would think that 50 cents worth of paper would be included. Without it you don’t know what the codes are and how to cook with it.

SAFETY IS NOT A PRIORITY WITH WHIRLPOOL. DO NOT purchase this combo microwave/oven. Buy a manufacturer that will stand behind their products. I used to think Whirlpool was a reputable company, but that has changed. I will never buy another Whirlpool or one of their other brands again. The porcelain is flaking off in shards inside the oven cavity in less than a year, and Whirlpool says it's "cosmetic" and will not warranty it. Once the porcelain is completely off, it becomes a safety hazard, and Whirlpool would rather their customers' safety be at risk than cover an obvious manufacturing defect. DO NOT PURCHASE ANY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS.

After 3 days, the microwave stopped working unless you held the door shut tightly. Then the microwave door hinges began to squeak like they were 50 years old. We have a 40 year old Whirlpool refrigerator in the garage. It just keeps going and going, but that was back when Whirlpool was an actual company that made quality products, not just another name used by some big conglomerate. We bought this online, without being able to see it in person, because no one has show rooms with actual appliances any more. Once we got it we were disappointed with the small display that's hard to read. If I had it to do over again I would buy something else.

I bought this unit thru the Military Exchange and it was delivered from Home Depot on October 13. The microwave door will not fully close, the pre heat does not signal when the temperature has been reached, the cook time counts down for about 8 seconds and stops thus burning my food because of no finish signal, no instruction manual was provided. No service technician has been found yet after repeated calls to Whirlpool. I feel this may have been a previously purchased unit that was returned as defective then shipped to me as a new unit. Frustrating is my feeling right now. I think this unit needs to be replaced with a new one.

The builder, Toll Brothers had a lower value split version of oven and microwave installed initially. Due to ordering and installation problems and a limited time to get ready for closing they had to re-build the space and install this excellent, nice-looking combo version. The look is so much better without the extra-large shiny faceplate that the split version had.

Been 2 weeks. So far so good. Still learning with it. Love how quiet it is. Looks great

Bought 1-1/2 years ago to replace a combo unit that lasted 15 years. This microwave lasted a little over 1-1/2 years. Diagnosis - Blown inverter and magnetron. No codes, so technician had to remove and troubleshoot at $275 because he had to pull it from the wall. Said total bill, with parts and a second visit, is $810 for an oven I paid $2260 for less than two years ago! Called Whirlpool and got a little help on the final bill that will save me @ $120, but after this experience, and the purchase of a standing freezer and a front loader washer and dryer 4 years ago, I won't be buying Whirlpool again. They've lost a customer and made me sad about USA products. I really expected better for $2300.

The microwave door slams easily while closing. No bumpers to control the motion or soft close. The system locks at 0.00 when door opened at that exact time. The alarm keeps beeping every minute to pickup the food but the food is not there. The edges are sharp. The food never cooked evenly for me.

Bought from Lowes. They delivered and picked up old appliance on time. No operatinng manual came with appliance. Impossible to contact whirlpool. Lowes store manager emailed a manual but the wrong one. Had to return to store to get operating and features manual. First attempt at baking popovers failed. Oven did not get hhot enough. Did not reach programmed temp. Will try again once we receive the laser temp scanner we ordered. BTH, upon registering the appliance, we were told the factory warranty did not cover labor and aservice call will be $400.00. So far, we are not happy.

Not very happy the first of this model the insides rusted within 2 times using we had rust falling into the food we were cooking.,The oven was not even 3 days old. After much hassle with Lowes it was replaced. The 2nd oven went to use it worked for 15 minutes then stopped- again with much hassle had lowes send their installer out and apparently he had tightened wire too tight and it broke. Then a month later using the micro wave and a loud pop - tried contacting whirlpool no answer, and after much hassle Lowes had the installer come out. A wire nut had melted and melted wires with it. this was repaired still this is the first time whirlpool has contacted us, and lowes has been a pain to work with. I do have pictures and the melted wire nut, it got so hot it melted the neutral wire also.

If I could give this appliance negative stars, I would. It's the worst thing that we put in our brand new home and I regret this purchase EVERY TIME, I have to use the oven or microwave. The temperature is wildly inconsistent, no matter how much we watch what's cooking it is either burnt or undercooked. Maybe we have a "lemon" but I wouldn't advise anyone to get this piece. Not to mention the vent cover didn't come in the box so the bottom grill is left to look terrible.
E_H_07/12/2025 07:29 AM
The use of the oven timer is aggravating. (I am not talking about the cook timer) If you need to cook the food longer minutes than you entered in the timer, and enter new minutes, it sometimes causes the oven to cancel the temperature thus making you have to put temp in again and wait for oven to preheat before you can finish baking ! I see i am not the only one who has this problem according to on line complaints. Also there is no manual in the delivery box of the oven nor on the internet that gives you any information regarding the use of oven specifics

Having problems after only 3 months and parts are on back order the time stops and it’s still running but not heating
Smh!08/05/2024 09:50 AM
After installation it worked 3-4 times. After that, it would sometimes heat and sometimes it wouldn't. The time would start going down then stop. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. We have a service call set up for February 17. My husband and I both would rather have the microwave/oven combo be replaced because this is for a remodel of a house we are moving in to and do NOT want to be concerned about this happening again or worse yet, over and over!

The oven and microwave work well as expected from a company like whirpool.

Overall, I am happy with the new microwave and oven. However, I miss some of the features on my older oven like how many minutes it takes to preheat. I also don't like that the manual does not go into detail on to how to use it. Using the oven and microwave at the same time is frustrating because operation of the microwave requires different functions when the oven is in use. It also doesn't have a standard timer that you can set that doesn't automatically shut off with the oven when the timer goes off. I've also noticed that the microwave door is wider, making it harder to reach inside and wipe down the back of the microwave. Fortunately, I am tall so that is helpful, but if you're a shorter person it would make it very difficult to clean the microwave.
TheBeesKnees03/13/2025 11:23 PM
This oven/microwave wall unit came in a new home we purchased and it is the pits. I've never burnt so much food as I have over the last 2 months. Even if I only put one pan it, it burns on the bottom (no matter what rack I put it on, I've tried to adjust the temp down, etc)...I previously had a convection oven, which I loved...maybe I got spoiled with that, but I have tried to adjust to a conventional oven and cooking with less things in there. It's too expensive at this point to replace (we've only been in the house 2 months). The kitchen was upgraded, so just shocked this is the oven that was installed with an 'upgraded, gourmet kitchen' from the builder. I've been cooking/baking for over 30 years and I've never had issues cooking until now. Just very disappointed.

We've had this unit for about a month. It is a very capable unit but in a field of other very capable units. The display is very bright an clear to read. Pros; Oven: We like the oven; particularly the rapid preheat and we also like the large window on the oven with two lights inside that make it easy to see what's going on without opening the door. Other than that, it works like an oven should. Cons; Oven: there can be multiple settings within a setting (for example, when selecting rapid preheat we get an option displayed, single rack preheat or multiple rack preheat? What's the difference? Which rack? It's an oven! Microwave: as far as microwaves go, it also works well as a simple microwave and appears to be high-powered. Cons; microwave: These are more peeves than actual problems, but here they are: There's no "Quick Minute" features, like one-button press for 30 seconds, one minute, etc. (Really? Even the cheapest Walmart micros do this). You have to manually press one-zero-zero then Start to heat something. Which leads to the buttons. They are just harder to push than they should be. We have arthritis, and sometimes I have to kinda lean into it to get a press to register, and even then sometimes it doesn't take. Shouldn't be that way. There are lots of cooking options, but somebody needs to talk to their ergonomics designer. The menu system is convoluted, and if I select one of the many cooking button types, I have to stand there and watch the menu sloowwly scroll through the options. It should just flash 1. potatos 2. pizza slice 3. vegetables 4 etc..... because I don't have their menus memorized. My last microwave had all these features I'm complaining about this one lacking, in addition to a sticker inside the door describing the menu. By contrast to the oven, it is hard to see inside what is happening even though it is lit. (I know it has a screen to protect us from microwaves, but is worse than my last microwave). Also, the door is hinged at the bottom rather than the side. When in the showroom this didn't seem bad, but at home it is hard to describe, but just more awkward. Which brings me to my last gripe. The owner's manual has absolutely NOTHING about how to use this system. It's only an installation manual for the installer. I would like to have some description about a bunch of these features, and I am probably missing how they are used, but a search of their website failed to find anything about how to use it. Price: When delivered I examined this unit from top to bottom. It's a nice $300 microwave bolted on top of a $800 built-in oven, and sold "on sale" for $2500. Ridiculous for what you get. But at the so-called retail price, it was something like $3500. Now that's obscenely overpriced (o: I thought about returning it just because there are other ones that would better address my issues above, but probably won't because of the "built-in" hassle and expense. If it was a countertop microwave, it'd be gone! (o:

I am extremely happy with this selection. It is beautiful, functional, and easy to use. Needless to say, it is reasonably priced as well. I highly recommend this to everyone.

The oven portion has not worked from the day it was delivered and installed,12/21/2025. On 12/22/2025 I called To Your customer service which supposedly contacted the local service company that you use and set up a service appoitment for 12/29/2025, of which I received a service conformation email from your representative. On the morning of the appoitment I had not yet heard from them so I called the service company and they had no record of a notice for my service call. Lucky for me they had just had a calculation and were able to fit me in for a service call on 12/31/2025 Tomorrow. So much for having a new oven for cooking over the holidays. You can’t correct the trouble and hassle your Inferior product has caused us this Christmas Holiday. Thanks. inferior 12/31/ and they told me they had no On

I do not like how the controls work on the oven/microwave, it is very confusing and there were very little instructions on how to operate these. also the microwave power seems to be very weak and does not even cook popcorn correctly half the corn isn't popped. also the light on the microwave is too dim to see the food cooking. the over timer doesn't make sense when you need to add more time at the end. for some reason it changes to oven temp and not the times, make no sense.
