  • Refrigerator water dispenser line started leaking on top of refrigerator within a few days of installation and tried all troubleshooting suggestions before I asked for service call. Took 1 week for repair service appointment. When scheduling I was very detailed about the possible problem and requested all possible parts be brought to the repair the first time. Now the repairman is here 2 hours after the scheduled time and of course he doesn’t have the needed part. Manufacturers and repair companies expect customers to follow their guidelines, but Whirlpool and their authorized repair companies are incompetent and inconsiderate

  • This unit was delivered last Saturday, and installed by delivery men, which was included with purchase. I looked underneath today, and noticed a large piece of cardboard which appears to be part of the packaging material ? I contacted Whirlpool Chat, and was told it belongs there. My concern is, why is it Resting partially on the floor ? If it doesn’t belong there, my unit probably won’t run efficiently ? There is no way to send pictures to Whirlpool Chat, so I’ll attach them here in hopes of an answer one way or the other

  • Refrigerator was delivered October 8, 2021 and after 24 hours freezer temperature was at -7* and refrigerator temperature was at 46* plus, on 3 snowflakes, manufacturer’s recommended setting for both freezer and refrigerator. Whirlpool sent service man out he said to wait a week and let him know if temperature changes. We did and temperature did not change and food was spoiling. Called him but he did not return call. Called whirlpool another service appointment was set up, this time technician no showed. And he has not returned call. Our refrigerator is less than one month old and we should not be throwing food away due to spoilage. I emailed Whirlpool Corporation Benton Harbor, MI and State Representative Steve Carra was Cc on that email as well. All we want is a refrigerator that works, after all that is what we paid for or at this point and time our money back plus reimbursed for the food we threw away.

  • Even if you give a bad review and write to the ceo of whirlpool no one gets back to you .brand new refrigerator which worked for 30 days and now doesn’t work at all costing a fortune throwing items out, buying ice and actually had to buy a small refrigerator since they can’t come till 6/22

  • I am really glad that I purchased this model French door refrigerator. It fits the space in my small kitchen perfect and it matches my other appliances that I already have. The space inside is perfect for everyday use. Right now I am able to fit my frozen turkey inside. I love that I can still get water from the outside and it has a light on it. Thank you whirlpool.

  • I bought it five months ago and I'm happy what I did

    Borracho02/11/2020 08:45 AM

  • 1. Refrigerator arrived with a plastic film wrap to protect it. The plastic film was applied prior to the hardware (handles and trim) being applied; result was unable to remove plastic wrap that sticks out around trim and handles. Finish at the top and bottom of both doors have fine scratches, no way to remove them without marring the surrounding finish. 2. Small refrigerator drawer inside of right door, will not close all the way, I have removed the drawer to inspect for foreign objects or other issues with the drawer slide track, unable to get it to close, sticks out approx one inch. There is a positive: Refrigerator is quiet, water filter provides nice tasting water, and the interior of refrigerator and freezer are well designed for placing items inside.

  • Despite limited choices for a refrigerator to fit in a smaller space, this was a great find! My old fridge died suddenly and I was rushed into buying and somewhat concerned that I didn't have enough time to look around more and research. But I think I got the best being offered, for my needs. I did read some complaints about the height of the shelving that doesn't allow taller items. But after some clever arrangement in the fresh food area, I could fit everything I had in my old fridge which was 33" wide (this one is 30" wide and 1" shorter than my old fridge). There's a shelf that slides half back to allow taller containers. Door shelving holds the rest of the tall items. Lighting inside looked dim because I was used to the lighting in my old fridge which I think now was overkill. Contents are illuminated just fine and since the shelving is all crystal clear, I can locate everything easily. The only odd thing is the amount of silicone-type lubricant they sloppily applied to the crisper door slides and the one door shelf that is intended to tip and lift out. I just wiped off the excess. Outside doors are truly fingerprint resistant (unless you have dirty hands, of course). You can lock the outside panel so young children who like to play with buttons don't accidentally trigger the water and end up soaked. There's a super cool feature for after you've had the doors open while loading groceries.I keep a thermostat inside the fridge and the temperature stays fairly consistent/within range. Freezer area is large and well-lit. It's divided into upper and lower compartments. Ice maker is in the freezer and the ice cubes collect in a container there (not through the door) and started making ice within 2 hours. There are three filters for this fridge - a filtered water cartridge, an optional filter for the crisper drawer to slow down ripening, and one is placed in a compartment on the back inside wall of the fridge for overall freshness. They really thought of everything. I've had this fridge for over a week and overall very pleased with my choice!

  • First fridge I've ever owned. So far so good, had this for two years now. No issues at all.

  • This Whirlpool is one of only two, maybe three modern brand name appliances that are feature packed, yet only 30 inches wide. Incredible! My last Whirlpool side by side was simply too wide to fit, worked perfectly, never gave me trouble, so of course I replaced it with this one. I ❤️ the feature letting you remove moisture so food isn't wet & soggy. The LED lighting is perfect. The shelves sliding back or tilting outward increase height space and ease to get things out. The freezer has sliding shelves to access what you need easily. The stainless steel finish wipes fingerprints or stains very easily. I like this refrigerator!

  • We purchased the Refrigerator before Thanksgiving last year. Come January of 2020, the ice maker seized up and continued to spill water onto the floor and it caused us quite a mess all the way into the basement. A tech was called and he said that the ice maker was bad and it was replaced. The clean up cost us over $10,000.00 We did call our insurance company and it was covered under our policy.

  • This is a great fridge but I am concerned with quality control. Right out o the box the door (non-water dispenser side) has insulation coming out of seams and the whirlpool logo crooked. Most likely just cosmetic, but after spending A LOT of money on a new frig, it’s pretty disappointing to have to see this every time I walk by it. I had some initial issue with water dispenser too on the first day but was able to resolve with company I bought frig from. Whirlpool- I hope you’re reading this.

  • If I could rate it a 0 I would . Delivered on 3/30/24 and has not worked since 5/2/24 lost all my food had sevice on 5/6/24 has ordered parts not sure that will get it working and have to wait till 5/21/24 for them to come with parts.

  • I love this refrigerator. It worked perfectly the first three weeks. One day after that before a month passed of me owning it, all of a sudden water appeared on the floor at the front of the refrig. My freezer wasn't freezing any more. I called and Whirlpool agents were very helpful and set up an appointment to come see what was going on. I thought I would lose all my food and my refrig. A friend suggested that I up the freezer and refrig "stars to 4." I did that and now no more leaking and everything seems back to perfect. I am hoping it stays that way for many years. I canceled that check up appointment.

    PAULETTE M05/29/2021 07:52 AM

  • Once I put food in it, it’s a lot smaller then I realized, also poorly made.. insulation hanging outside the doors and at the top hinge, whirlpool logo was crooked. I attached pictures. Drawer in freezer doesn’t slide well and you have to really push on freezer door to close otherwise it doesn’t close all the way/seal then there’s ice build up inside, drawers inside slide with grease or something that gets all over the place. Had the warranty guy out said they would have to replace the door and move all the parts in it to the new one if we wanted the insulation on the hinge gone and no guarantee the new door wouldn’t be the same thing. They did order us a new logo though.. I will say it’s quieter then our last one so that’s a plus

  • I'd written and submitted a review about two and a half weeks ago. Should have saved it because it was quite extensive. For some reason, I'm still getting emails to submit a review, and I do not see my post under reviews. Here are my thoughts based on my four-star rating. I replaced my 13-year-old Frigidaire with a new Whirlpool side-by side with all the bells and whistles. After several weeks, I realized I didn't like the side-by-side. Was never fond of them but with my small space, height was an issue. I wanted the French door with the freezer at the bottom. Most brands are very tall, and 68" was the max I could go leaving no room between the bottom of the overhead cabinets, and top of the refrigerator. Why I didn't see this model during my research, could be I misread the dimensions. Anyhow, I called the customer service department of the store I purchased it from. Very helpful. The rep went through multiple options and found the height dimensions on this model would work. I was stoked! Ideally, would have liked more cubic feet space. I could have accommodated up to 33" wide, but height options were very limited. I took delivery in exchange for my side-by-side. New fridge height fit with recommended 1/2" to spare. Pros: - Fits perfectly in my small space. And I got the design I wanted. - The split shelf that allows for taller items is a nice feature. - Fridge holds 40-degree F consistently. I don't have a thermometer for the freezer but so far, no build-up of ice or condensation in the fridge. - Freezer is large. More than I need but having the extra space is welcome. - Two air filters - one inside located at the back of the fridge, and one located in the left crisper drawer. Both have a color tab that measures when it's time to change. - Water feature is nice with various displays for setting freezer and fridge temp, water filter monitor, and several other features. - Cycles on and off quietly (I guess that's the compressor?). - Ice maker located in freezer is spacious. Since I don't use ice, and the first time it dropped ice, scared the bejesus out of me so I turned it off. - Design is very classy and the no fingerprint surface is great! Now for the reason I rated it four-stars vs. five: Cons: - Interior material quality in both fridge and freezer leave much to be desired. Flimsy plastic bins. Even a little trim along the top of the crisper drawers would have added a sturdier/finished look. I can see these snapping/cracking with the wrong move. - Door bins are small. To be expected with the split French doors. Takes creative positioning to accommodate larger/higher items. Because of that, even the shorter items can be difficult lifting up and out because of the shelf above it. - I see flaws in how the door was put together. Glue in the seams and a few areas where the hinge is a bit misaligned. - Less features than the side-by-side and $700 more expensive. - Two indoor filters should be installed when delivered. I was handed a packet and left to figure out what goes where. How to install instructions weren't straightforward. Eventually figured it out. - Water dispenser makes a loud kerplunk when releasing. My friend who has a larger Whirlpool model, his makes the same noise. - Manual doesn't explain the icons on the door panel. There's a water drop icon with a small "x" on the lower part of the drop. Not sure what that indicates. All in all, I've gotten used to my new fridge and how best to utilize the indoor space. It's the exact design I wanted, and the height and width fit my small space. The times I've contacted my stores customer service with questions, they were professional, spent time answering my questions and making helpful recommendations. I would recommend this Whirlpool product.

  • Review for refrigerator on Costco . Defective refrigerator. New refrigerator was delivered on 6/30/21. I bought Whirlpool refrigerator through Costco. Some issues with delivery, but I already called Costco. Found yellow deposit, either rust or glue on the both door. Refrigerator was not in the box, possible Costco delivered refrigerator, which was returned before to warehouse by another customer. I called Costco customer within 2 hrs after delivery to report all issues with delivery and problems. So far I called Costco more then 10 times . No resolution, because “out of stock “. Costco delivery team took my old refrigerator. Dear Whirlpool could you please explain this very strange yellow deposit/rust????

  • I have had my refrigerator for almost 2 weeks. I works great and so does the ice maker. I have 2 things I do not care for. 1. I do not like that you can not put anything directly in front of the filter on the back because everything will get condensation and ice will start to form on the items on the 2 top shelves. 2. I do not like that the water comes out warm. You have to fill a cup and empty it in order to get cold water. I am told that the water reservoir on the refrigerator is small and cannot hold a lot of water so if I want cold water I should add ice to it. This should have been stated when I purchased the refrigerator. I like drinking cold water but not necessarily with ice in it. this is my biggest problem with the refrigerator. All said and done I do love the refrigerator.

  • I was at Best Buy looking for an iPhone case and we happened to browse in the appliance section and I saw this model and noticed immediately that it wasn't super wide...I literally have about 33" wide opening and was excited that it had all the features I wanted...especially water and ice. It seems like ice makers in the door always malfunction so I liked that it was in the freezer drawer. I also liked how the freezer drawer has four sections so I can organize it so much better than the "pit" that my old basic fridge had. The price was well over what I would want to pay, but I saved up during the pandemic so I figured it was worth the splurge. I went home and measured it and we tested the waterline behind the fridge (basically made sure it had a trickle since it sticks straight out and we didn't want to flood the place). So I went and purchased it at Best Buy...waited the six days before delivery was set up and stayed home...all day...guy shows up 20 min before the delivery window ended with a USED refrigerator? HUH??? We were completely baffled. Plus we spent all this time moving things around to make room (I have a big front porch and walkway full of plants and outdoor furniture and we had to move it all!!!!) - So we went over to Best Buy, they apologize and set up the next delivery for another six days away. I took another day of work, this time they not only came at the beginning of the window but only gave us about 15 minutes notice so we are throwing things in coolers trying to get it all ready. Two guys show up who barely speak English, but knew enough to point out the major dent on the right side. I was handed a phone with a customer service rep who offered me $200 to take it anyway. I figured the wall would cover that side and could use the discount. The guys could not figure out the water situation. I attempted to explain that there was probably sediment in the line because who knows when it was last run (I've been there 11 years). The line clogged up immediately and they took off. It took us days to figure out that was the problem...we were ready to run another line thinking that the existing one didn't work. We realized later that two out of three door handles were damaged. The freezer one was smashed in and there were scrapes all over the right fridge door handle. Best Buy did help to remedy that situation. So all should be well, right? Nope, there is the noise...ugh, the noise. The HIGH PITCHED TINNITUS noise that pierces through everything. I live in a tiny condo, 625 sq ft. I can hear it EVERYWHERE. And it's constantly running. Best Buy said they could replace it and take back the money they gave me...but who knows what they would have brought out that day - another day off work too. So Whirlpool actually contracted an appliance repair company to look at it. One guy came out and couldn't even hear it, ran some tests and said it was running fine. Then two other guys came out and they could hear it and explained it was "normal" - yet not one review mentions this for this model. I do not have super human hearing...my boyfriend who actually has tinnitus can hear it. I sit on my couch watching TV and unless the show is really loud I hear it. Constantly. Apparently compressors run a lot on newer fridges. So this is my life. I got a white noise machine to try to block it out but it doesn't help. Nothing I can do at this point. I love the fridge otherwise and the features it has. I feel the ice bucket could be fuller, but it was something I already read about in a few reviews. I always read reviews...nothing about a high pitched noise. I just pray I didn't get a lemon and it lasts. Maybe eventually I will just get used to it??

  • Bought this to replace a standard top freezer unit. This was the perfect fit for my space. Nice roomy freezer (though a little hard to get used to some of the split level use). Too section is great. The slider is perfect for the tall items. And I have the door sections arranged nicely. Controls are easy. Water on the front is great (no dealing with fussy ice makers, ice is deposited in freezer basket. Only real issue I have is the drawers. They don’t really Lomé up or close properly. Especially the right. It’s always open a smidge no matter what you do. Delivery guy said that’s how it was when I asked if it was broken. Sometimes it even can be an issue to close the main doors. If the drawers were a little more professional, this would be a 5 out of 5.

  • Bought the first refrigerator From Menards Manufacturing date May 8 of 2024 Menards insisted that it was new it was not I have pictures it didn’t come in any shrink wrap plastic or Styrofoam cover. The top had a quarter inch of grease and dust. Basically it was sitting somewhere maybe as a floor model. they did ship me a new one and additional cost of $170. Total paid for delivery $320 management of Menards made me feel humiliated that they insisted they did nothing wrong. Receipt shows I paid for a brand new one

    Basel09/05/2025 11:34 PM

  • Paid $3649 for it back on Nov-2-2020, broke and replaced fan on Apr-20-2021, broke again and waiting for parts since Aug-5-2021. Customer Services is a useless and escalation is also a waste of time (Still waiting). Poor quality and high prices and they are more preoccupied to save money than invest on customer's satisfaction.

    ENRMAN08/17/2021 07:27 AM

  • Not having a fridge for a month that we bought that only lasted only a week was mentally frustrating. We lost all our food and pumped breast milk (20 bags worth) Lowes and Whirlpool both pointing fingers at each other. P.s. do not buy a fridge from Lowe’s. They only have a 48 hour to cover themselves from situations like ours. Even though we got a bad lemon. Whirlpool eventually got a new fridge out to us and now that it’s been a week. So far so good. I just hope no one has to go through what we did.
