• My wife couldn’t take her eyes of of this washing machine. I tried to redirect her to a less expensive one. She wouldn’t have it. She said we are getting older and we’ve skimped all of our life and I need something easy to operate and wash my big bread spread and not send to cleaners. She loves the laundry soap and softener reservoirs that only need filling after about 33 wash loads. She Aldo likes the center agitator that’s easily removable and replaced. This machine has no dials, all push buttons which you can choose exactly what you want to wash. The cost was more, yes, $849, but how much is it worth to have a happy wife.

• This is my second one in 4years. I initially bought for the blue tooth reminders and large capacity. I believe utilizing the capacity and running large loads is what fatally broke the first washer. At this price point it really isn’t worth it. I’m very disappointed and probably shouldn’t have bought a second one but definitely won’t buy a third if this one breaks. I went out and bought what I thought was the best of the best brands and “go figure”. I should have kept my old 20 year old Roper, at least you could work on them and not have a big finance bill. The only reason I got rid of it is you can’t find the parts anymore.

• Purchased this washing machine 6 months ago. Have had a repair technician come out 3 times because the machine keeps ripping our clothes and at times it leaves a soapy residue on clothes. Technician replaced parts on the first 2 visits and clothes are still getting ripped. Whirlpool is placing blame on us, stating that it is owner overloading machine. The technician even told Whirlpool that he saw what was loaded and it was not overloaded. Terrible customer service and would rate this a zero if i could. Next step will be going to corporate.

• I decided on this top load washer because I was tired of my front loader using hardly enough water to wash my clothes properly! . I had mold build up in my prior washer in the drawer you pull out to put soap in as well as in the door seals! It’s so nice to have really clean clothes again and the removable agitator is an awesome first in the industry for heavy bulky bedding! So happy with my purchase! I researched many studies on ratings, and this set was recommended by both Good House keeping and Spruce! They both recommended this set!

• Absolutely do not buy this product! I have owned this for five months and absolutely hate it. Previously I owned a front loader whirlpool and it was great. I decided I wanted a Top loader with an agitator and went with this one huge mistake HUGE. It’s loud and more importantly does NOT was your clothes. Its leaves them waded/twisted up and with large areas of soap residue. Even with deep water and extra rinse. Of course Whirlpool wants to come “look and repair it,” and due to warranty this can only be done M-F 8-5. I just want my money back…no need for the hoops of sending someone out.

• I replaced a basic washer with this one and I'm glad I did! I didn't think I would need all of the features, but I really like them. The removeable agitator is an AWESOME feature! The washer has a large enough capacity for blankets. The Load And Go reservoir for detergent is convenient and the app lets you know when it is running low on detergent and when the loads of laundry are complete. This is a very nice machine!

• I was so happy to find a washer that has options for different water levels, including maximum fill. Also love the agitator that she can take out or leave in. Other wonderful features are tap water in the washing machine and a reservoir for laundry detergent ! I love love love this washer!

• It is beautiful & good looking.my concern it’s that doesn’t dry very well some clothes, specially large cotton pants or towels; I had to set larger time and some times run a second dryer timing for complete drying those items.

• I received this washer January 14th, so I've had it for two and a half weeks. The second load I ran went out of balance, but I don't blame the washer for it. There was a thick, heavy bath mat mixed in with a load of towels that caused it. I haven't had a load out of balance since, and I do lots of large loads. It has a button so you can turn the water on to pretreat stains, which is nice, unless you accidentally press that button while unloading the laundry, like I did, getting your freshly spun laundry all wet again. It's cleaning our clothes really well, even my work clothes, which get pretty dirty. The washer has a removable agitator for bulky items, such as comforters, but I haven't removed it yet, since I haven't had to wash any bulky items. The features are easy to use and mostly what I need. I'm highly satisfied with this washer, so far.

• Great washing machine with more than 30 differed wash cycles. One feature I really like is the ability to remove the agitator for large loads. I removed the Agitator to wash a large area rug from my daughters room. The washing machine did a great job. Normally, we would have to take this rug to the laundromat in order to clean it.

• I bought the washer and the dry about 9 months ago and I love them. I have so many options to use. The biggest reason I bought this washer is because I can add water. Sometimes I feel I need more water in my loads and with this was I can. I am still learning but so far I love everything.

• If I could give zero stars I would. Tried different settings and my clothes come out dirtier then they went in. Thankful I bought this washer from a store that allows returns. Absolutely do not recommend.

• This is the absolute worst purchase we have ever made. This washing machine has been nothing but a nightmare. We purchased this washer/dryer set from Ashley Furniture and have had nothing but problems. Leaves a white residue all over our clothes so we have to do an extra rinse and spin cycle AFTER doing the wash cycle. We have tried everything to resolve this issue, from putting the extra rinse on, selecting deep water fill, from changing the soap brand we use, from changing the amount of soap the load and go dispenses, from not using the load and go and to just adding soap on our own, and nothing resolve this. This washing machine is so loud and you constantly have to watch it if you are washing bedding or towels. It will just stay on out of balance cycle until you have to physically pause it, open it and balance it yourself, and you will have to do this multiple times. It’s sometimes will take me three hours to do one load of laundry, you pretty much have to keep watching the washing machine to make sure it stays in balance. We contacted Ashley Furniture customer guest care (please note it is completely separate from the instore employees as they do not deal with customer issues anymore; it all goes through guest care now) about returning the matching set that we purchased to get a different matching set. They offered to do a store credit or send us the same washer which we declined due to the fact that it has been nothing but problems and we do not want to chance it having to deal with the same nightmare again. They told us it would be up to whirlpool to exchange the matching set for a different matching set. So we contacted whirlpool and they informed us it is up to Ashley Furniture to exchange the matching set for a different matching set. They will not return the matching set and only the washing machine. From a customer service point of view this is unacceptable. 1. We got a matching set for a reason. If we didn’t want a matching set we would have just gotten a washer and kept our dryer. 2.They are in a high traffic place (the first thing you see when you walk through the front door) so it’s not like we can hide them so it’s just going to be a eye sore. So now we get to tell people why we have a brand new washer and dryer that do not match (bad business) 3. It’s not like it’s a fridge or stove… they literally sit side by side. Do not fall for this false information posted on ashley furniture customer service website. They do not care about customer satisfaction “WE'RE HERE TO HELP Your purchase is only the beginning of your journey with us. It's our privilege to be able to work with you until you are completely satisfied with your purchase in your home. After all, we're here to offer you a better experience.”

• I used to love doing laundry. Until I got this washing machine. I literally let my laundry pile up now because I dread it because nothing gets cleaned, and it’s so frustrating. And I miss the satisfaction and therapy of doing laundry and I am so angry with this machine because it literally took it away from me. I even had to start buying specialty type detergents so I could just load up enough detergent in there to hope for it to be clean. I even put OXI clean in there, but it will be all over my dark clothes when I take them out. Also, there’s no way to run the water to let OXY dissolve and then add the clothes. If you turn on the water faucet and add oxy, it will drain the water before it starts the cleaning cycle, so what’s the point?? I held onto my old school knob style washing machine as long as I could, because everybody complains about their smart washing machines. I wanted certain features like a removable agitator, and I needed something that could fit king size comforters. My machine finally died, and when I found this, I thought it would be everything I wanted because you can pause to lift the lid and it even has presoak water built-in. Boy was I wrong. It moves at a snails pace. There’s zero way that the clothes can get clean. My husband puts his dirty socks back together before he puts them in the laundry (why I don’t know), and he rolls the sleeves up on his button up shirts, and doesn’t unroll before throwing them in the laundry hamper. Those will come out of the cycle with the socks still together, and his sleeves still rolled up. In a normal washing machine it would agitate enough to separate those things. I hate this machine more than any appliance I’ve ever had, and I will never ever ever ever ever recommend this product to anyone. Please see my pictures. I have a video showing how slowly and poorly at agitates, but apparently whirlpool will only let you upload from YouTube, so maybe they don’t want videos showing how badly designed their products are. I would give anything if whirlpool would let me swap this out for the most basic washing machine. I completely blew $1200.

• We purchased this washer 11/7/25, and installed it on 11/19. So, have been using for about 2.5 weeks. The first week I spent trying to figure out how to get enough water into washer to actually come to top of clothes or cover clothes. Had multiple failures with this. Aggravating. I have learned that there are 2 cycles (as far as I know) that will allow the "Max Fill/Deep Fill". I use these because we are a large family, hence the very reason we bought the largest capacity washer we could find in a store. But, the absolute biggest aggravation is the fact that this washer leaves detergent on my clothes!! Ridiculous. I first noticed this was a problem for washers with no agitator at my FIL'S home. For this reason, I was VERY hesitant to buy this top loader, even with a removable agitator. My concerns have been confirmed in almost every single load of clothes I was. And WHY has whirlpool made it so tricky to get an actual user manual? And, how many years/decades has whirlpool made washing machines? I have used top loaders, and 1 front loader during my 40+ years of doing laundry in my own washer. Almost all new washing machines, no matter the brand, SUCK now. What happened to American Made Pride? What happened to the highest quality American made products. Almost everything is crap now. Whirlpool, I expected you to be a leader, a pioneer. I expected better from Whirlpool. But, I am aggravated and extremely disappointed. I want a refund. Not a tech to come. Not a replacement. I want a full refund. And, I also would like a written report of the problems with top load washing machines, using minimal water, and an official apology and acknowledgement from Whirlpool pool. Whoever designed these washers should go back to the drawing board, or resign.

• We purchased this washer back in December. The side wall shakes terribly bad when it is on the spin cycle and it leaves this white crap on all our clothes that are dark colored. It doesn't brush off. We use the "auto add" detergent so I know I am not adding too much soap. Definitely do not recommend!

• I bought the whirlpool washer a few weeks ago and very pleased with it. I have always been buying Whirlpool products for their excellent products. I love the Load and go feature. I was sceptical at first but the liquid doesn't dry up. This is a replacement from another Whirlpool I bought about 14 years ago.

• Our three you old Whirlpool washer stopped spinning and agitating last week. It would stay in sensing mode on the LCD screen. I managed to get four fault codes from the unit before the HMI screen turned blank. The unit will no longer turn on. The LED light on the control board does not light up when the unit is plugged in which leads me to believe the control board may have failed. However, since it wouldn't spin or agitate, I have no way of knowing if it was the control board causing these issues or if another component failed and also fried the control board. When lifting the top of the unit to inspect the control board noticed a lot of corrosion and rust under the main top of the washer. This shouldn’t be normal after three years. I contacted Whirlpool by Phone as was advised they don't even service my area. Sent pictures and photos on Facebook Messenger, but received no reply. Sent all the same info on Whirlpool Chat, but was no help either. Another appliance to add to the landfill. Companies need to get back to building products that actually last and that you can afford to repair.

• We bought this machine in January 2023 when our Samsung Top load quit after 10 years of service. After doing research, I came to the conclusion that this washing machine would be well fit for our family. I was wrong... Since day one of owning the machine we have had numerous instances where the load of laundry had to be washed twice to get the clothes clean. Most of the time its the blue jeans that do not get clean. We had this problem occasionally with our former Samsung top load machine which did not have the agitator. I bought the Whirlpool machine with the removable agitator thinking this would handle our soiled clothes with success. I was wrong. We have now had the machine for 4 months and there is not a setting on it that will consistently get soiled blue jeans and baseball uniforms clean. We have tried deep wash, presoak, heavy wash, and all combinations. I personally think the agitator is a gimmick. There is no setting where the agitator will actually circulate the clothes in the wash cycle like the old agitator washing machines do. In fact our previous washing machine that didn't have an agitator handled the soiled clothes better than this one. We are very disappointed. I am posting up a picture of a pair of blue jeans that we pulled out of the washer this morning that had typical farm work dirt on them prior to washing. No, it wasnt caked on mud. Honestly, I could have got the same results spraying them off with the water hose. I hope Whirlpool sees this and can offer a solution to the problem! As well, I hope this gives potential consumers a good heads up when selecting a washing machine.

• I bought this on mar 3rd. It will be April 4th before they come to replace the broke door latch. If it’s not fixable it will be past the 30 day return. Repair date keeps getting pushed back.
